MW3 is a amazing game...... When you do not compare it to the earlier titles. I have been playing it, and so little has changed from MW2. I do not see how they spent all this time working on it, and wound up with a game that is so similar (not in the good way of it playing the same).
That's the entire problem with this game. Same shit, yet sold at full price just like it was an entirely brand new game. Selling this $30 would make way too much sense for Activision wouldn't it.

But IW went through hell for the first year of development as it was pulled apart by Activision, when the founders and people who gave a fuck left due to the royalties and court cases.
CoD is good at giving a smooth FPS experience, I'll give it that. It makes me rage too much though, so I don't want to get anymore more of them.
If Totalbiscuit gives a a positive review being all "This game is awesome buy it now!" I will be very surprised and interested. I am pretty much expecting his normal "It's dumb fun which you can pick up and play for a few rounds once in a while" "Angrybirds of PC". :v:
Holy shit MW3 is getting assraped by the gaming community on metacritic

He quit World of Warcraft because it was too hard.
ugh, my little brother just came home with the game I'll never hear the end of this crap

Good thing no one with a brain pays attention to unfiltered community reviews.
i regret buying it for pc even though as a whole it's shit it's still better on console than it is on pc shitty fucking dumb locked fov and console-style matchmaking
Ok yea TB is hating as fuk on MW3 complaining about everything :v:
How to turn off the shitty blur in MW3 Go to the 'players2' folder and open up config.cfg in notepad. Find the line "image_quality" and set it from 1 to 4 or 5. Blur gone! As a side effect you may now notice how shitty the textures for everything are without all that blur in the way.
Thanks for the fix, now the game looks like how it should, just like how MW2 did. :'(
So how short is the campaign? 2 hours? Is the writing and story just as bad as MW2?
Average MW3 Review: This one is actually counted on metacritic as a 100 score. http://www.game-boyz.co.uk/content/node/18422
Even Metacritic's critic scores are horse shit I've seen like 3 100's, all from unheard of, ugly websites So to those of you playing, is MW3 ReVoLuTiOnIzInG!~~?
Even Metacritic's critic scores are horse shit I've seen like 3 100's, all from unheard of, ugly websites So to those of you playing, is MW3 ReVoLuTiOnIzInG!~~?
From what I hear it's not revolutionizing because it wasn't meant to be. If you liked previous entries in the series you will probably like it, if you don't you shouldn't expect anything different here.
So how short is the campaign? 2 hours? Is the writing and story just as bad as MW2?
Everyone is saying 5 to 6 hours. Which in Facepunch time is 30 minutes on lunch break.
This is the BEST map pack for MW2 so far. It's a little over priced though, they're usually like $15. There is a glitch however- usually my profile carries over from one map pack to the other, but this time my stats reset.
Hey guys! They did change something! I could run MW2 on low on my old pc, but can't run this :v: Looks like they made it even worse
So how short is the campaign? 2 hours? Is the writing and story just as bad as MW2?
Something like 5 hours. The writing and story (have not played through it yet) I have heard is worse that MW2. As long as consumers are willing to buy repackaged shit, the game companies will be willing to sell us it.
Something like 5 hours. The writing and story (have not played through it yet) I have heard is worse that MW2.
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. That really set a new standard for how low an FPS campaign can be, atleast one from a AAA developer like DICE.
God damn it, I told myself I wouldn't get MW3 but I want it so damn much.
From what I hear it's not revolutionizing because it wasn't meant to be. Which in Facepunch time is 30 minutes on lunch break.
I liked CoD4, and Black Ops did change a little bit, but holy fuck this is the SAME THING The graphics are sub par, the gameplay is exactly the same, it's literally a new map pack, some new guns and killstreaks, and another notoriously mediocre story Hopefully this is a big enough fuckup that people will opt for BF3 and CoD can go away [editline]8th November 2011[/editline]
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. That really set a new standard for how low an FPS campaign can be, atleast one from a AAA developer like DICE.
MAKAROV MAKAROV THE RUSSIANS HOLY MOLY TERRORISM AHHHH BF3 campaign was just another generic turd of a multiplayer campaign, just like CoD's campaign Neither games are focused on singleplayer, so they pump out generic campaigns BF3 is nowhere NEAR the "worst campaign", at least BF3's campaign implemented some varied gameplay that didn't just consist of running down hallways and shooting popup targets
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. That really set a new standard for how low an FPS campaign can be, atleast one from a AAA developer like DICE.
There are DEFIANTLY worse campaigns out there than the BF3 one from other AAA developers.
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. That really set a new standard for how low an FPS campaign can be, atleast one from a AAA developer like DICE.
MW2 and MW3 have a worse campaign than BF3, imo.
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. That really set a new standard for how low an FPS campaign can be, atleast one from a AAA developer like DICE.
They could have not done it at all, but more people would have probably ignored it if they only made it a multiplayer release. DICE seems to suck when it comes to FPS campaigns, but when its about free running parkour and barely no fighting then they are awesome at it. Sense? It makes none.
Nothing can be as bad as the BF3 campaign. [editline]8th November 2011[/editline] Man I love intkeys, MW3 for 33 bucks.
They could have not done it at all, but more people would have probably ignored it if they only made it a multiplayer release. They just don't want to do singleplayer shooters. DICE really suffered from the lack of sequel for Mirror's Edge, they really expected the game to go far but it ended up being a big "shut up and make more battlefield" from EA who has a slight tendency to be an Activision copycat when it comes to gaming decisions.
Wouldn't really pay any more than that tbh. [editline]8th November 2011[/editline]
DICE really suffered from the lack of sequel for Mirror's Edge, they really expected the game to go far but it ended up being a big "shut up and make more battlefield" from EA who has a slight tendency to be an Activision copycat when it comes to gaming decisions.
They're making ME2, it's going to be built on the frostbite 2 engine.
Wouldn't really pay any more than that tbh.
I got my copy free by winning the tournament at the midnight launch party at a local Gamestop, which is weird since I'm shit at Call of Duty. So I really can't complain.
Guides for all weapons by the end of the year does make more sense. Thats took a load off my mind, thinking he sold himself out. But all seems good.
Is this worth buying in my case: I played MW2 on Xbox and disliked it due to micspamming children + console controls. I played Black Ops on PC and enjoyed it due to no children + keyboard/mouse. I'm considering MW3. I wouldn't DARE if it was an Xbox purchase but as for PC, is it worth it?
BF3 is nowhere NEAR the "worst campaign", at least BF3's campaign implemented some varied gameplay that didn't just consist of running down hallways and shooting popup targets
The same kind of variety that CoD has: Sniper missions, stealth missions, turret missions. The first half was pretty good (my jaw dropped during the jet mission) but the second half was incredibly boring.
MW2 and MW3 have a worse campaign than BF3, imo.
MW2 was consistently average, BF3 had one or two spikes of good with the rest being flatter than anything I had experienced playing CoD.
There are DEFIANTLY worse campaigns out there than the BF3 one from other AAA developers.
I'm having trouble thinking of one other FPS with a more disappointing campaign off the top of my head. The closest I got is maybe Homefront, but I dunno if the studio that brought us Frontlines: Fuel of War is really AAA.
You're just mad you couldn't beat it on hard in one sitting.
I beat it on normal in one sitting faster than I have ever beaten any CoD game.
They're making ME2, it's going to be built on the frostbite 2 engine.
That will be nice. Great tech like Frostbite 2 deserves a game that isn't typical modern combat FPS.
