Call of Duty v9 - Still not as shit as BF3! - Games

I also must have missed all that footage of MW3 jet and tank gameplay. I'm not saying the BF3 campaign was great, but it wasn't nearly the worst.

I never called the BF3 campaign the worst per se, I'm just having trouble remembering any recent games where I was actually that disappointed. Maybe it was the short length at three hours, which is just insane to me.

Anyone else getting a "Disc read error" when trying to launch the game in Steam? (No I'm not using a physical disc) I pre-ordered from the shit IntKeys and the game is in Russian, I could play it fine but hey, who wants to play it in Russian. After that I downloaded some language pack that I installed, now I cannot launch the game at all. Anyone know what's up with that?

So after playing for a solid 2 hours I have no complaints. The game runs fine, no lag nor noticeable glitches. The game is just what I was wanting and expected; a mindless fps. Good shit probably going to throw a ton of time into this over the next couple months when I am not drooling over Skyrim.

is it an american thing to have loads of kids whining 24/7 on the mic or are people just bullshitting/bandwagoning? Literally every bad post about CoD on this forum has 'whining 12 year olds' somewhere in the post but i've yet to hear any in the past 3 or 4 games

It's basically "RUSSIANS HERE, TERRORISM THERE" as an excuse to have you play levels in all these different cities. The pacing is awful too, I could tell EXACTLY where each vehicle crash/slow mo explosion sequence was going to be.

I'd say it's a pretty average score.

One of my Dad's friends at work had an extra PS3 copy of MW3 and gave it to him. Heh... So that means I'll have the 360 and PS3 versions.

Then he freaked out that those raids (still hadn't done them mind you) were getting nerfed as the new raids were coming into play, SOP for Blizzard ever since TBC. He said some sensationalist things because he wanted to burn bridges with Blizzard and bring over some of his subscriber base. It would have been fine if he had just said "I am bored of WoW so I am going to stop putting up content for it" because it's his channel, but as soon as he rationalized it (or tried to) and said a game that he had barely any experience in and was, frankly, pretty bad at easy is a joke.

I decided I wasn't buying another COD title again after getting ripped off last year, unless the reviews were good (user reviews). Thanks Metacritic for helping me dodge a bullet this time. A 3-5 hour campaign and a multiplayer component that was copied and pasted from the last game is just not acceptable at a $60 price tag.

Does the incorporation of point streaks balance the game? I loved cod4's multiplayer, but everything after that was a shitfest clusterfuck of absurd rewards and game-play catered to the lowest common denominator of gamer. I miss the fast paced action of CoD4 that actually rewarded skilled players. Now everyone and their granny can pick up a controller and get a nuke. :'( WaW was pretty good if you played hardcore (MP40's and tanks were my only gripe)
