I mean, they're nice CoD4 stuff in there. Also, new weapons, etc. Actually, looks good.

But that actually seems like a slightly more interesting take on the survival game mode. Kind of like the BC2 Onslaught, just not delayed by a year and with a pretty decent looking weapon and equipment system. Plus allied AI squads to bring the pain from the looks of it.
Have not been on this thread for awhile. I stopped playing CoD all together. Though, MW3 might make me break my drought. It looks pretty good and I'm happy they are including the MP5K again. Love that gun. One thing that will irk me. If they include the uzi, it damn well better not suck, since it was my favorite in MW2/CoD 4. Also with the trailer for Survival, I saw the model and the UMP. They better balance those out. I hated those weapons. I'm happy that they're also including the M4A1 Carbine. That gun is fun to use. FM69 also looks kind of cool. Reminds me of a nerf gun I once had.
FMG9 is probably Machine Pistol.
You guys know a fix for me and my friend not being able to host private zombie games? My ports are open.
Looks cool but unless the multiplayer blows me away I won't buy it until a few months later or when it goes on sale. The singleplayer just looks so safe and unoriginal. But I do like me some g36c.
I doubt it will ever go on sale.
I doubt it will ever go on sale.
I got MW2 for 20 bucks 2 months after release date. You need to know where to look. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] Seems legit: http://myxboxlive.com/gaming/mw3-confirmed-weapons/ OMYGODOMYGOD P99 BUY BUY BUY
At the end of the trailer the mini map looks really weird, and it looks like you can cycle killstreaks.
I really like the CoD4 red dot.
Couple things I noticed: - The USAS 12 auto shotgun will be in the game. - Both COD4 and MW2 style red dot sights (choosable by the user?). - It appears that machine pistols are back as secondary weapons like they were in MW2 (based on the end bit). - Riot shields are no longer completely invulnerable and break after too much damage is absorbed.
my brother better buy this so when he rages from it i can play it lololol

This means that you will get rewards for doing objectives. Also 14 streak is a juggernaut, this is going to be fun.

And there is a bar next to your rewards stack that shows you how many more points you need for a reward
I saw "you have been promoted" in that. Sure hope its a separate level system from MP.
I saw "you have been promoted" in that. Sure hope its a separate level system from MP.
Probably just means "You can now buy [thing] with your cash because your a higher level now!"
Point streaks huh? You'll probably be able to choose up to 3 killstreaks and to achieve each of them, complete objectives, earn points to gain killstreak?
You'll probably be able to choose up to 3 killstreaks and to achieve each of them, complete objectives, earn points to gain killstreak?
and what would be really nice to have the D-pad hold all three, and have your equipment on the 4th, although idk what would happen to your nade launcher or undermount shotgun...

[editline]10th August 2011[/editline] So is anyone going to XP?
Could replace something, like grenades. [editline]10th August 2011[/editline] So is anyone going to XP?
no i don't think that'd be fair, maybe have the last d-pad slot be able to switch between grenades and your equipment, and then right bumper to use whatever you have on at the moment.
changed my layout to tactical because i panic knife alt and since this game seems to give commando to everyone but me i thinks its worth it still not sure if proning is actually helping me get kills...
changed my layout to tactical because i panic knife alt and since this game seems to give commando to everyone but me i thinks its worth it still not sure if proning is actually helping me get kills...
i'd rather accidentally go prone, than accidentally stop shooting and knife the air, that's why i made the switch.
Played a bunch of games of world at war Two things Why did 3arc put the map packs on rotation even if you don't have em? Seriously all the others coda didn't have this problem why did you make such a mistake? Hackers hackers errywhere

Hackers hackers errywhere
Yeah, but then again, that's when Treyarch were still considered 'that other studio' by just about everybody, even Activision. As I recall, they had harsher schedules and limitations on their games, and were basically told "Do a game in less than a year, and then instantly start work on the next one. Also you'll never be good as Infinity Ward." I feel like, due to the community backlash from Modern Warfare 2, they kind of stepped up to the plate and communicated with their fanbase and tried to make the best game they could. In my opinion, they did pretty damn well, and definitely set themselves apart from Infinity Ward as a fully grown and legitimate game studio.
I think Black Ops had more work put into it than Modern Warfare 2 BUT Black Ops had a bad launch which led it to fall below MW2 in terms of playerbase (on pc. Dont know about consoles)
I think Black Ops had more work put into it than Modern Warfare 2 BUT Black Ops had a bad launch which led it to fall below MW2 in terms of playerbase (on pc. Dont know about consoles)
Black Ops probably had a bad launch due to how badly people responded to MW2's gameplay and how it was conducted, and also the fact that Treyarch's last game, World at War, hadn't been very successful either. MW2 was at the height of the Call of Duty hype machine, a sequel to what is often thought of as the greatest Call of Duty game of them all, but due to the fact that it had no dedicated servers, as well as 15 dollar map packs and a bunch of questionable gameplay choices, it ended up dividing the fan base quite a bit. In my opinion, if Black Ops would have come out before Modern Warfare 2, they both would have had a ton of sales.
Treyarch just got a bit too balance happy. Yet Infinity Ward was throwing random crap all over the palce which happend to be overpowered back in MW2. Finding a middle ground is hard though. Maybe if Treyarch didnt ask the community for what they wanted balance then Black Ops would had been a very different game Multiplayer wise. They (Treyarch) seem to bring out a great single player experiance yet they suffer when it comes to the multiplayer. World at War was something i couldnt exactly enjoy alot due to those 10th prestege assholes who use nothing but the MP40, And Black Ops just because boring because of the worries of balance. Now, the survival video thats just came out... It does look cool. But, i just dont like it being 2 player instead of 4... (It is 2 player right?), It should had be 4 player.

How is there a middle ground between balanced and unbalanced? Generally it's one or the other. If a weapon is good, but not too good, it's balanced. If a weapon is too good, it is unbalanced. There's no real way to be both balanced and unbalanced. In my opinion Treyarch kind of fumbled with the single player. It was a good experience and it had surprising amounts of depth. However, it didn't really have many spots I wanted to re-play. It just kind of felt like once you played it once, there was no point in playing it again. I myself return to the Washing D.C. missions in Modern Warfare 2 time and time again just because they feel so epic and fun, and definitely entertain. I fail to see why someone's prestige level effects the fun you have with the game. It doesn't reflect skill, and it doesn't really give them any edge over regular players, so it just seems like you had a problem with people who played a lot. The MP40 was definitely overpowered, but it wasn't unbeatable. How is Black Ops boring due to 'worries of balance'? That doesn't make any sense. If a game is balanced, you should be not worried, due to the fact that it's based on skill more than what weapon you're using.

Most of the assault rifles feel exactly the same and stats wise there's only two types of smg.
