They need to add the XP bar at the bottom of the screen again, like in Modern Warfare 2.
They need to add the XP bar at the bottom of the screen again, like in Modern Warfare 2.
It would be great if it was optional.
I said it earlier but I feel the need to say it again: The amount of objective play I am getting in MW3 is truly stunning. I have played Domination, Demolition, Headquarters, and Team Defender and almost every game has been a neck and neck struggle and a close ending. People cap A and C on domination then have an outright war over B and you can really tell people on both teams legitimately care about the objective. Had a great moment in Team Defender where we found a nice tunnel on Underground and setup shop. Just me and a friend and 4 pubs vs their team and we orchestrated a great defense and protected our flag all the way to victory, with different groups of people watching both entrances. It's really nice to see and kills the stereotypes you hear about CoD players oh so often.
Played the MP for 4 hours with two other friends over Steam voice chat. Fun stuff.
It seems to me that the people who made this game really, really, REALLY hate campers and choke points, to the point where holding down a position is damn near impossible. Seriously it's almost impossible to stand still for five seconds without getting shot, there is barely any cover that doesn't explode when shot or can't be penetrated by so much as spitting on it. the spawn points and the spawning system is fucking bonkers as you will literally spawn right on top of your dead body or in be in a room full of dudes and have the enemy start flying out the broom closet in the corner of the room behind you. all the maps have about as much walking space as 2 Rusts and consist of a series of corridors connected at the ends. Seems like they took far to much input from all the ~xxXUb3r1337Xxx~ FFA players who sprint around the map like marathon runners on speed, the game feels like it's reverting back to quake. Oh and not to mention the Meta game and kill streak system is literally one step forwards, two steps back with modification from blackops. the only reason it isn't as bad as it was is the fact is that we're all stuffed in a box and spawn two feet from each other so this makes gaining the really absurd assault kill streaks more a lesson in chaos theory and blind luck.

what the fuck is wrong with MW3, I crash almost before, during, or after every game. I can not play two games in a row, if I'm even lucky enough to play one.
oh and funny story. MW3 wasn't even on my radar, Sure it's hard to completely ignore when one of these games is around release but I pretty much gave no fucks. And then out of the blue my brother walks in with it, welp, time to play the shit out of it. He even bought the strategy guide for fuck sake, I haven't thought of or bought one of of those in at least 6 years. and you know what?, it's shit quality too. it's loaded with lots of goofs, like the recoil chart for the UMP smg having an image of the USP .45 pistol on it (durhuhuhuhuhuhr.) also while detailing a killstreak loadout for a recommended class that goes Predator>Reaper>AC130 instead of AC130 in the last sentence they put Osprey Gunner :v: based on the quality of this I don't think I'll be buying another Bradygames strategy guide for anything ever.
I have come to the conclusion that survival is much more fun that multiplayer.
Scar Express guide By the way, is every machine pistol and pistol akimbo compatible? I loved my G18s in MW2 they were my favorite thing to run with.
Look guys, this game may be a MW2 clone, but it sure as hell is an amazing one. I finally enjoy playing a nice and solid FPS again, I haven't done that since MW2.(I have BF3 too, but in the long run, it's not my style) Just because it isn't your type of game, doesn't mean you have to ruin this thread by constantly complaining and making fun of it. There is a reason a lot of people like it, so quit your crap with CoD fans being retarded fan boys, they are definitely out there, but just because you enjoy the game doesn't mean you're a little kid. [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] And a little extra note, I actually prefer the graphics in this game over BF3. Sure BF3 looks amazing and sounds amazing, but the flashy graphics and huge sound effects take me away from the gameplay itself. The CoD engine feels a bit like Source(even though I know Source is better), it's awesome because it's not too much, and allows you to focus on the gameplay while still being acceptable. No one plays the game for the graphics, it's just a really polished(gamepaly wise, balance can be argued) fast paced arcade shooter, so don't compare it to BF3, it's nothing near being the same.

Is the M.O.A.B. only avaiable in the Assault Strike Package or also possible with the Support Strike Package? The wiki says both work but Im not sure.

I can't draw any opinion on this game. It's the least excited I've ever been about a Call of Duty title, and it reflects my time with it. Serviceable, solid multi-player offerings without actually impressing me in the slightest. It's still fun with friends, but it doesn't have the same addictive pull. I guess I'll have to wait 2 months down the line before we really find out what kind of legs it has.
Goddamn the Recon Juggernaut is good. I've been going 30 - 9 almost every game using it and the ACR.
It's on for everyone for any package I believe.
So I just have to get 25 Kills in a match to launch a MOAB if I have the Support Strike Chain? Sounds good.
Bootleg is the only map in the game I think is legitimately bad. There are so many places to camp in. Basically the first team to get the lead can just camp around for the rest of the game. All the pros recommend the specialist class if you are going for a MOAB.
All the pros recommend the specialist class if you are going for a MOAB.
Well since that won't get you any kills other than with your gun, and it buffs your player, I guess that would be the reasonable choice. If you have a team that rolls with UAV and also gives you ballistic vests and other supportive stuff, that's also really helpful.
This track goes well on Survival Mode: That's what I love about the 360, you can play songs while playing. I don't fucking know why the PS3 doesn't has it at ALL their games.
When i do buy this, im going to see how i can get shotguns working. I didnt have much problems with the shotguns in blackops so i'll think i'll be fine. That KSG-12 might be the better weapon.

The Striker is probably the best one, seeing as how it has 12 shells before you need to reload, it fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, and it has the most range out of most of them.

From what I can tell the Striker is the only shotgun worth using. Maybe the others get better with proficiencies but that grind will take awhile with such awful guns. The SPAS-12 has the least range out of any of the shotguns. It's kind of insane.
