I labeled CoD community as the worst because it is the most obnoxious one in my eyes. I hated the Halo community a few years ago and have since stopped caring since most of those little kids that annoyed me have since grown up and moved on. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline] I apologize for my previous post since I was in a hurry to go on an errand and didn't realize my blatantly biased view and where I was posting it for all to see. I think I was trying to make a point about it's still pathetic that the Sledgehammer devs are crying for help and got sidetracked. They should just deal with it like DICE has dealed with the countless CoD commentators on YouTube saying that BF will be forgotten on 11.8.11, posting huge lists of games that apparently "tried to beat CoD but failed," etc. Fanboyism is stupid, although I'll admit I'm more familiar with the BF side of things. Whatevs. I just think Sledgehammer should 'deal wit it' (and not for reasons relating to the CoD hate bandwagon).
MP412 firing sound. What. The. Fuck. Out of all the guns they reuse a sound with, they give a magnum the sound of the 1911 form MW1. I really hope they patch that. Its in all modes, specops, multi, and SP.
Basically, BF fanboys are starting to become the cod kiddies/fanboys that say their fps is the best of them all. Honestly, I see nothing special about it. Reminds me TOO MUCH of BC2. Still, I find it nice.
You only say that because you side with COD, I'm a BF Fanboy in a way I prefer it but I do like COD, it's fun to mess around in an arcade type shooter sometimes. One person doesn't mean all of us.
My friends are complete retards when it comes to games. I dragged my friend along to play some survival, and we were having fun. But when the 13th wave, which is when it turns into a slaughter house, showed up, he bought a sniper rifle and tried quickscoping the bots. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline]
cod bo lol
Nah, BO had like 3 Vietnam related levels. More than half of it was in the USSR.
Playing CoD: People do objectives, say GG at the end of rounds, I've seen a few insults thrown around but not much Playing BF3: No one does objectives, only time chat is used is to bitch about something. Strictly going by ingame experiences I much prefer the COD community. They seem to be a group of people who play games and have fun, Battlefield players care too much about winning.
Finished MW3 campaign, much better then BF3, less tap-events and better story.. but lots of reused props etc.. I saw a Cod4 vending machine with arabic on it in that mine level near the end. Multiplayer is almost direct copy from previous games. BF3 has a shitty campaign, pretty boring but it showcases amazing graphics, sound etc. BF3 multiplayer is atleast 10x better then CoD's multiplayer, but Cod community seems to be generally better then BF3 community in terms of no-bitching/taking objectives but this is partly due to compressed, unoriginal maps that constantly require you to have eyes open. I give cod a 7, BF3 a 8. Campaign is good and all but BF3 excells in multiplayer with its extensive stats tracking, battlelog, massive maps and lots of replay-ability.. but I give it a 8 due to the massive amount of bugs and design flaws plaguing BF3 at the moment/lack of general teamwork.
Um so you like CoD more because you have had less frustrating games? I know that BF can be extremely frustrating at times because your own experience wholly depends on the experience of others on your team, but it can be even more rewarding than CoD when things go right. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline] I somewhat agree with what doonbugie said up above. I've seen my fair share of whining in CoD too, though, and it's not like moments in CoD where your team doesn't do anything aren't uncommon.
idk why you would rate me dumb if you are a good BF3 player. My personal experiences aren't going to be changed by your opinion. The CoD community is better than the Battlefield community and I'm sticking to that until I see differently.

We spent all night doing this. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1097783?p=33258462&viewfull=1#post33258462 I always try say GL and GG. You cant talk after the round which is a problem, needs fixing. -snip- Shitty school internet.
bullshit x3
Fix that shit. Anyways, They should add end round chat, and semi-global/global voip.

Along with ping indicators ingame. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline] Boy I sure do love coming to the CoD megathread and talking about Battlefield 3. What, are you guys bored of the game already?
One of the many silly little things that playing the game for 20 minutes should pop up. Along with ping indicators ingame. What, are you guys bored of the game already?
I came to talk about COD but ended up off topic. What are the kill streaks like in MW3? Fixed at all or is there still a tac nuke? I'm getting the game once the price drops a little bit.
Sorry but i have to disagree. When i play MW2 i always see people in the chat typing "fuckin hacker go fuk urself" or "noob!" but i have not ever seen that in BF3. Or atleast very rarely. Also when i play BF3 i see loads of people typing "gg". It totally depends on the people and the server.
Exactly. I suppose that if I enter a couple of games in MW3 where players are griefing, hacking, or exploiting cheap tactics that I can assume the CoD community is full of retarded people like that?
I came to talk about COD but ended up off topic. What are the kill streaks like in MW3? Fixed at all or is there still a tac nuke? I'm getting the game once the price drops a little bit.
KS are awesome in MW3.
The worst community is certainly up for debate, MOBA communities are likely up there if not worse than CoD's.
After playing Dota 2 and Call of Duty, they're both tied for the worst.
I came to talk about COD but ended up off topic. What are the kill streaks like in MW3? Fixed at all or is there still a tac nuke? I'm getting the game once the price drops a little bit.
The assault strike package is basically MW2. Most of the support ones are brand new. Tac nuke changed to MOAB that everyone has and can use after you get 25 non-strike package kills. It kills everyone on the map and EMP's the enemy team for 1 minute. Overall killstreaks are at about the same level as MW2 but there are more support ones so I think it's better. Still want a return to CoD4s killstreaks, those were nice. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline]
Exactly. Also Battlefield players come to CoD thread to tell us all how great the Battlefield community is and how bad the CoD community is, I offer my experiences, get dumb ratings. Definitely getting a good impression from you guys
I always liked the game with killstreaks off but it is was fun getting a tac nuke once. Never again.
I always liked the game with killstreaks off but it is was fun getting a tac nuke once. I definitely dislike the more obnoxious killstreaks though, like anything above attack helicopter.

CoD can be fun, but not 5 years straight. NOW DARK SOULS, THATS FUN!
It's improved. But it's still pretty much the same as MW2.
Not really. It's similar, but it's not fair to say it's the same. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline]
I just think Sledgehammer should 'deal wit it' (and not for reasons relating to the CoD hate bandwagon).
Why is everyone acting like this is unreasonable? Literally all he said was that CoD has a really low user score, which is misleading, and that if there are CoD fans on metacritic they should go give it a good rating. It's a really reasonable thing to ask for. People are acting really dumb about this.
If you use the specialist strike package do you also unlock perks that you can't use yet normally?
Not really. It's similar, but it's not fair to say it's the same. [editline]13th November 2011[/editline] Why is everyone acting like this is unreasonable? Asking for ratings no matter how you word it is just low on a devs part.
It doesn't seam reasonable at all to me. Asking for ratings no matter how you word it is just low on a devs part.
That's a stupid simplification. You can't boil it down to 'He's asking for ratings.' It's a really reasonable request and if you don't like it, don't do it. Like, holy shit, people are acting like this simple request from one person is a personal insult or something.

I couldn't care less about the ratings a bunch of haters made on metacritic, I still want the game and I will get it once the price goes down a bit. I have other games to occupy me for now. [editline]14th November 2011[/editline] Oh and he did actually ask for ratings he just prettied up the sentence.
I just don't like the idea of asking for ratings it just doesn't seem right to me
He worked hard on something, and people are being mislead and are thinking it sucks due to the user rating. He's asking for honest fans to give it the rating they legitimately think it deserves in order to give people looking at metacritic a better picture of what people think. SO LOW AND UNREASONABLE YOU'RE RIGHT
It's unprofessional, quit being immature about it and use your brain: You don't go "HAI GAIZ PLEZ GIVE ME G00D RATINGS SO I CAN FEED FAMILY"
That's not what he did and you know it. I'm not being immature about it, I'm looking at it as in he is a person and something he worked really hard on is getting ranked down unfairly. It's perfectly fine for him to ask for some more unbiased and fair ratings. Besides, he didn't post it on the main site or say it on behalf of Sledgehammer, it was his own personal request. He wasn't like "HEY GUYS SLEDGEHAMMER DEVELOPER OF CALL OF DUTY HERE, GO AHEAD AND GO GIVE US GREAT RATINGS!" he said "A game I worked on is being given really low scores suspiciously, so if you like the game, it would be cool if you could go and give it a rating you think it deserves." Jesus Christ, you guys are acting like since he was a developer, he can't be, y'know, a person.
