Wow, akimbo MP9's are the new akimbo G18's in Modern Warfare 3, though I think there's a lot less recoil and more accurate, especially with Steady Aim.
USP's got a buff! I was going 20-2 on Kill Confirmed just a single.
Can't wait till I get duals.
I feel as though they overdid the clutter in MW3 multi-player maps. Yes they are trying to make it look like a warzone, but COD4 and MW2 did a much better job of that.
The airport-ish map for example, usually degrades into a massive camp-fest, due to the number of hidey holes. It would not have hurt them to make the maps have more open areas, and to be less cramped.
Sniping has become a rare treat due in part to the lack of open view ranges.

Trust me, there's tons of sniping. Just in the form of quickscoping.
I feel like the M16 is the weakest in every game. There always is a better 3-shot burst gun. MW2 was the FAMAS, or at least I feel so. Black ops, G11. MW3, type 95.
Blops M16 was pretty good, and as far as i remember the G11 was a two burst kill whilst at a good range the M16 was 1 burst

Yes, there is quickscoping, but no sniping.
this one time on Fallen, i sniped a dude.
I don't think I said it's OP because I die to it alot. Stop putting words in peoples mouths.
You complained that it was OP, and then when I pointed out that it wasn't, you said you die to it a lot. Therefore, your reasoning is that it's OP because you die form it a lot.
I'm not putting words in your mouth, I'm putting your reasoning together based off of your posts.

I find it OP because of how fast it can kill and how early you unlock it. Pair it with rapid fire and then it becomes increasingly annoying to go up against. I just die more to type 95 than any other AR.

But it's three shots to kill, just like a shitload of the other Assault Rifles and even a lot of the SMGs. The only thing it has is range, and the ACR has that too. There's nothing that really puts it far above the other Assault Rifles.
Grim what proficiency would you slap on an ACR? i mean kick is all but useless, 2 attachments is attractive but what else do you think would work well?
Grim what proficiency would you slap on an ACR? i mean kick is all but useless, 2 attachments is attractive but what else do you think would work well?
Use Focus if you get in a lot of head-to-head fights with it, since it'll keep your aim steady.
Use attachments if you want to roll a stealth loadout and have something else with it. Although the sights on the ACR are already good, so attachments isn't all that useful, since most of the attachments are sights.
Kick is actually useful if you want to run an ACOG or Hybrid Sight with it. Those increase the recoil to the point where it's noticeable and may cost you a kill once in awhile, so using kick will ensure it stays recoil-free at any range.
I don't find any of them all that useful, since in my opinion the ACR is already an all-around amazing gun. It doesn't really need anything to make it better.
Wooooo, guess what came in the mail today (and had a crushed case)?
MW2?
Good class for Team Defender
Riot Shield
TMP[silenced preferred, or akimbo]
Extreme Conditioning
Blast Shield[you'll get pro in 2-3 games, trust me. maybe even 1 game. the shit that gets thrown at you...]
Sitrep
Stun
Semtex
This has been a blast with the riot shield so far. Just sit in a corner, eat up bullets. Get the occasional kill off some idiot who thinks he can knife you[sometimes, people get lucky and knife you through the shield]
Being a Call of Duty fan, I do regret buying Call of Duty. The lack of funds for Skyrim and Saints Row 3 depress me.
I'd also like to point out that I don't think the game's bad at all, but I just really wish I would've bought other games. Call of Duty, while fun, is starting to get stale, even for a fan like me.
I honestly don't know what to think of cod anymore. Its a abusive relationship with me really. I want to enjoy it but I keep seeing the flaws and time they look way more frustrating.
my dad bought a playstation 3 because he had nothing to do around the house anymore, and he got mw3 with it...
i have watched him go prone through each, and every single level
The most fun I've had with MW3 so far is hardcore domination. Playing modes like TDM or even regular domination end up being run and gun marathons, the winners being whoever is the best at whoring the stupidly overpowered akimbo machine pistols. It's less of a problem on hardcore, because I can usually kill the akimbo run and gunners with my first shot. It also helps with the insta-prone UMPers and bunny hopping garbage because they can't survive long enough to prone/jump.
Friendly fire is a bit of a problem, mostly with controllable killstreaks coming down too close in an area where we're actively fighting. But people usually apologize, and I've yet to see anyone deliberately team killing.
I really like the specialist package, got an 18 kill streak two games in a row.

I'm aware of this game's many flaws but I'm still having fun.
Battlefield 3 just stopped working for me, went ahead and uninstalled. Paused when I restarted Origin to install. I don't think I will. I just have more fun with Modern Warfare 3. I got ~70 hours out of BF3 so I guess that it was worth it but it's just not a very fun game anymore.

I do not understand this at all
I enjoyed COD4 and blops far more than MW3's multiplayer

I love battlefield3 but with about 78 hours I need something different than tactic and slower gameplay, atleast it still works for me, I can circle between BF3, Skyrim, and MW3 (getting it today) If it's "atleast" as much fun as black ops and MW2 then everything is fine.

Also there is still a shitload of people online on Blops.

CoD4 was really clunky. I have a lot of fond memories of it, it was my first foray into console gaming, and it was definitely the most fresh and changed up of all the Call of Duties, but they were definitely new to the whole style of it, and it showed. It had a lot of glaring flaws, and a lot of balancing issues. It definitely wasn't the most flawless CoD, nor was it the most fun, it was just the most new and fresh, and so I think that's why a lot of people look back on it as 'the best'.
Black Ops also changed things up and was really balanced, but it was kind of boring. A lot of the guns were plain, and very few of them felt good. The story was kind of unremarkable, and none of it was worth going back to, unlike some of the missions in MW2. In the end it ended up being boring. There was no twist to it. They took MW2 and made it more bland. It worked from a balance standpoint, but from a 'fun' standpoint it didn't do much. The currency system was also a fine idea, but it had horrible execution.
MW3 fixes almost all of the issues in the Modern Warfare series and adds a lot of fun features to play around with. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are trying to perfect the gameplay they already have before jumping ahead with it. Everyone says there's no point to changing it and they're just milking it, and I think with Activision that's true, but the actual developers are legitimately trying to make a fun game that people will enjoy. I mean, fuck, the people from Infinity Ward (at least, the remaining members) must be rich as shit, seeing as how they've been breaking records right and left and having such amazingly successful games. I think they're worried about tweaking things and slowly but surely chugging ahead rather than having another huge leap like Call of Duty 4.
Besides, we saw a huge leap in Gameplay and Setting after four games. MW3 has been the third game since then, so it's not like it's staying the same for longer than it stayed the same before.

I kind of got off topic there. Just my two cents on the series as a whole and some of the more recent games.
I'm just confused as to why the MK14 has rapid fire... Fair enough if it made it fully auto but very inaccurate, but it doesn't even do that.
Also got gold camo on my PP90M1, got the 1k kills emblem, completed all challenges except kills and headshots. My god, some of the attachments are just pure downgrades, honestly.
One last thing, the MP7 is absolutely amazing in multiplayer. Almost no recoil, even without kick, 40 round magazine, has suprisingly decent power due to its accuracy at longer ranges, and its an SMG - fast moving etc.

It has a capped fire rate. I believe rapid fire either removes the cap or makes it a lot bigger, so that you can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, or if you have a turbo controller, full-auto.
