Going to buy a PS3 and Modern Warfare 3 on the 23rd. I haven't played a good shooter in a while. Anybody know anything about the population between the two consoles? I know PS3 must not be far behind but I'm curious.

Anyone know what the best SMG would be silenced? The MP5 is just garbage with a silencer and I hear the same about the UMP. Do I have to wait for the MP7?

Anyway, I'd say go for the P90 or something like that because of it's high capacity. The UMP fails to kill people at range all the time silenced for me. Stealth perks and silencers are the most valuable things in the game.

If it's the same deal as cod4, silencers rape the damage for smgs, you're better off taking Ninja. I always took a silenced mp5 but then I realized removing the silencer made fighting a lot easier.

Silencers and Stealth Perks are infinitely useful.

Wow, I am getting raped hard by all those lvl 60-70 prestige 1 or 2 guys, just got the game yesterday and they keep beeing better at me... Normally I am the one beeing in the first place always on MW2 Blops and BF3. Need perks and guns, attachments or this game is going to be frustrating soon for me.

The recoil is fine and you can kill people from medium range great. I've seriously been getting MVP in half the games I play with a silenced MP5.

It starts out as straight TDM, but as soon as the first person dies, the flag drops from their body. While one team is holding it, they get double points for kills. It isn't absolutely needed for victory, but it sure helps a lot. I've actually never seen a team win without holding the flag.

In MW2 my favorite weapon was a vector, with a silencer and thermal sight.

Count me in the Team Defender is awesome group. Some intense games to be had, and it's the most teamwork I've seen in a public CoD game in a long time. Also, I've fallen in love with the MK14 and M4 combo using overkill. M4 with kick has almost no recoil, great for CQC, and the MK14 just destroys everything at long range.

Fuck me the type 95 is unfair. The entire enemy team using it with acog + rapid fire.

I usually win a 1vs1 in a close quarter with an type95 user with the mp5 scar or the first assault rifle m4?

Possibly stupid question: Can you apply weapon camo to the riot shield? Please don't kill me, I don't own the game (yet)
