Is there anyway to make steam stop downloading new files all the time? I always play with the miles folder removed. (disables most of the music) but steam keeps redownloading it, mw2 never did this.

You can get stuck directly with a semtex and still survive. The pro version also doesn't make you immune to flashes and stuns, it just reduces the effect. Read what the perk does before saying it's broken.

[/QUOTE] Damage on the Spas does make a huge difference, Not too sure about range. But the main problem with the Spas was the damage. Shotguns reguardless need more buffs. The KSG should be useful, but its not. Im having a hard time using it anyway. There has been times where i Blast someone with it from what is pretty much knife range, in the face might i add. And i got a hit marker and had to fire again just to kill them. I've even had trouble using it on Hardcore. (Thats when i can get near them, but thats a whole different story). The KSG's problem is it needs too many pellets to kill someone, and the problem with any shotgun is that you can get outclassed by pretty much anything.
Lets see how well the 1887 does, stats and damage charts make it seem like an killer weapon, while spas at longest range deals 5 damage per pellet the 1887 does 20 at smallest and also haves further range only downside is drawtime and fire rate.

I got into a game where an enemy was 2 kills off a moab. I kill him an instantly the game ends, connection to host lost.

Damage just takes too long to unlock for shotguns.

God damn it, I kill a guy with a riot shield, turn around and kill another guy with a riot shield, hit the guy behind him with my riot shield, go for another hit and my Xbox freezes right before I land it.

I still feel as if there are still dominant weapons for each class. Just like it's always been. Assault = Type 95 (WAY too overpowered in my honest opinion) SMG = UMP (like always) OR PP90M1 LMG = Well, damn. There isn't really one, but if there were, it'd probably be the M60E4. Sniper Rifles = L118A OR MSR <<-- way too easy to use. Almost a 1 shot kill anywhere on the body. Shotguns = Surprisingly, most suck in this game. Model 1887 seems to be the most powerful though. Riot Shield = Riot Shield (fucking sucks unless you have unlocked the melee profiency) With that said, the hit detection in general in this game is just not where it needs to be. Especially the melee system.
Makes me wonder if making the weapons with built in stopping power was such a good idea. The game is pretty much Assault Rifles and SMG's with a hint of Snipers. Which is fine and all but trying to snipe the correct way, LMG's and Shotguns are next to useless. Although the maps dont quite help either. Perhaps SMG's should be weaker than Assault rifles?
Is anyone else not feeling as attached as they'd like to with MW3? It's just not as fun as I thought it'd be. It's not as intriguing as I hoped it would be and for the most part, it's just heavily unbalanced. I don't know, it's just a really weird feeling for me as a big CoD fan. I find myself playing a lot of different games other than CoD this week. I like Saints Row 3 and I am getting Skyrim tomorrow. I was just wondering if I'm the only one feeling like this.
Im feeling very reluctant to be attached to it, Just incase it all goes pete tong and becomes pretty much like MW2. Thats what im worried about.
i fucking loving it, every time i play it i really enjoy it and survival just makes it a whole bunch more fun, just got to wave 38 with some random guy but felt hungry and went to go eat lmao

Do kills with the smaller hybrid sight count towards the challenge?
MW3 is fucked forever on the PC version, if you host a game with a modified config_mp.cfg file you can rank everybody up to 80.

The hit detection needs some work. I got the game winning kills with a sniper rifle. I watched the replay a few times, and the bullet "killed" them, by going about half a foot away from someone's arm and closer to the next guys head. Neither actually "hit" by my judgment. Also, am I the only one who's game regularly freezes more than the older COD's? My friends who are both on PS3 and XBOX seem to agree with me.

When everyone's rolling 3 and 4 bars it's fine, which is about 90% of my games. Trusting the reply and the final kill cam isn't a good idea because those are out of synch with the server due to being client-sided. Also never froze and only CTD'd once.
