So hey, recently I bumped my desk while the Xbox was running, and it's caused some bad scratches on my disk. The thing is, I can start the game up fine, and get to the MP Create-A-Class screen before the disk read error pops up.
I got the idea that I could borrow a friend's copy of MW3, install the game to my hard drive, and use my half-broken disk as a key since it still launches game. Do you think this would work?

Yeah it works, I got the circle straches of death on my red dead, borrowed my friends copy to install it and now I can run it from my broken disc.
Just finished the MW2 singleplayer (late I know)
It felt like a dragged on action movie, but overall it was fun.

Seananners and Hutch are the two best commentators out there, in my opinion. They're both just such great and honest guys who have some really interesting things to say.

I started it last night while drunk, then finished it up this morning.
It was disappointingly short, but i'm glad they seemed to mix up the settings and missions a bit.
Although i feel like after the first level, things just went from hollywood to bat-shit-crazy things happening.
I'm willing to accept that a bunch of us survive a plane crashing and ripping in half, but that last helicopter rescue in the mines was a bit crazy.
I HATE FMG9s, they suck for me but are amazing for everybody else. Also, I use Scavenger Pro, Quickdraw Pro, and Steady Aim on almost all my classes. I suck at MW3 but I think the actual classes are good. Also my favorite commentators are 2Bucks, Elpresador, TmarTn, and Woody.

My PC had both cores touch 105ºC and then was running crysis at a steady 90ºC and its still very much alive.

I'll have to agree with this, And put in Sandy aswell. Seeing that Sandy doesnt need to speak much and let the music do the talking. And they both run and gun like absolute madmen. Unlike Wings of Redemption who plays the game like his life and gets too serious about stupid things, The guy plays to win. If thats the case then, whats the point then?

I don't get how people are able to stay alive long enough to get a MOAB. I play on PC and I've only seen 2 of them in the 90ish hours I've played, and both of those were against severely stacked teams (where we won like 7500 to 1000). I can get in the 25 to 30 kill range fairly easily, but I usually have 10+ deaths when I have that many kills.
Are the people who get them regularly doing it against very bad teams, or is it that they're playing the console version where you have a lot of kids who are terrible, and you farm them for kills?
It's a lot harder on the PC because a lot of intervening factors are taken out of the equation. I remember having a tiff with a console player, who was saying he was better then me at MW2 because he had a 12 career nukes whilst I only had 8
As it is, in MW3, my longest killstreak is only 21, and I have yet to see anyone get a non-care packaged Osprey Gunner, let alone a MOAB

By the looks of it, its more common in Domination.
Maybe that's my problem, I've been playing a lot of Team Defender recently and it seems I get shot in the back by someone who just spawned behind me for the vast majority of my deaths, so it's very difficult to stay alive. My "main" game mode though is Hardcore Domination, and I don't remember seeing a MOAB yet in that mode.

I think theres a big difference between console and PC players.
I've seen max 10 nukes on PC, and I only got a legit one once, and the other team had a HUGE disadvantage. I had better ping and they were mostly shit.
I don't really know if I want to prestige at all. I mean, I want more custom classes, but I just golded my MP7 and I want to gold every gun.. It's a hard choice man.
I also heard that XboxAhoy can't do anymore videos for 'free', he took down the ones he did so far. I think to see them, you have to buy elite. :l

My advice, if you think you might prestige eventually, don't wait. Just bite the bullet and do it now before you start golding all your weapons.

Are you sure it was not Fahrenheit? My CPU's maximum temp is 71C, anything above 71 and it hard crashes(restarts it self). You realize 105C is above boiling point and your CPU should have been melting into your motherboard by then, hell the solder points would be melting at that temp.

Sleight of Hand
Assassin[lots of UAVs up, and quickdraw is useless with a shotgun]
Steady aim[basically required with the striker, you won't be ADSing at all]
The rest is up to you.

Going to try and prestige at least 4 times. The 4th prestige emblem (the purple one) looks pretty boss imo.
