I'm not exactly sure what IF was thinking when they did their nerfs.
Akimbo FMG9s - okay, makes sense, although i still feel like a loser when i get mowed down just because the guy had sheer volume of fire on his side even though i knew he was coming
Type 95 - "problem is RoF, let's not fix it and change something else about it instead..."
...why?

I don't know what they did to the FMGs. All they really needed to do was give it a hipfire accuracy nerf.
The Type 95 isn't really a big deal in the first place. I didn't think it needed a nerf. To be honest I think the only reason they're nerfing it is because everyone is complaining about it.
I've got to say, I much prefer black ops over MW3, it's just a much more fun game.
I feel like the deaths in Black Ops are more my fault, which i was quite happy with because i could adjust how i played to fix it.

I'm almost 100% sure that the hotfix already went down and both guns have increased hipspread now, and i'll admit it is a nerf, but it's not changing anything...

After the FAMAS was nerfed in Black Ops, I'm pretty sure it was still a really heavily used weapon. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer can't stop people from using the gun without making it useless, so instead they're just nerfing it. They are nerfed, and I see less people using them now, but you'll probably still see both a lot because people got used to using them.

The FMGs seem to be untouched.
And the hipfire accuracy on the type95 still seems too good.

Actually, the FMGs are the same shit as they were before.
A while ago, we were having trouble getting the flag back because the whole enemy team was inside the bunker on Outpost and no one could get in without getting killed by 2 guys directly staring at the door, another at the area around the door and 3 others at the back gate with the barrels. No one was fast enough to see, aim and shoot at them.
As soon as I grabbed my specialist loadout with FMGs akimbo, they all died. They can't even shoot at me with the huge incoming spray of bullets from those things.
The only way they can fix those things is making the bullets stray more from the middle into a much bigger cone of fire or give a fuckload of visual recoil.

No they're not. After I downloaded the patch yesterday, the hipfire accuracy on both is pretty terrible. You need steady aim to do well with either.
All I know is that I can easily get 1st place with any gun in FFA. It's not the gun, it's how you use it.

What the fuck does this bit even mean?
This isn't turn based combat bro. People can shoot at other people, and then those people can shoot at them. Bullets don't generally stop me from shooting.

I've been saying this forever. People put too much importance on guns. None of the guns in MW3 can turn a bad player into a really good player.

Can't be.
Then they still need a fix. If they really are crap without steady aim, they should try to find a mid point between crap and good, because they are as good as they were with steady aim.
i think everyone is having different opinions on the patch, im positive it went down but as to how visible it is will be difficult unless somebody screencapped a before and after...

Its kind of hard to hit anything if you're getting hit yourself don't you think? Screen starts shaking alot and you wont be able to hit them at all, and the blood and the huge spray of bullets makes it a bit harder to look and shoot straight at them before they kill you.
You know that isn't true.
If you use an assault rifle, you have to ADS at people past medium range and be a little more carefull about how you aim at them.
With the FMGs, you just need to press both mouse buttons and slide the crosshairs across the enemies and they will all die. How isn't that a gun that turns bad players into good players?
Heck, theres people who don't even show up on the kill feed and top the scoreboard until they grab the FMGs for example.
Now your just being a little ignorant.

Well to me, the type95 still seems to kill a bit too good in hipfire without steady aim.
The shotguns don't have the extra pellets anymore, making them a bit worse without them, kinda like before you grinded them to get the attachments.
The FMGs still seem to have the same narrow as fuck hipfire spread with steady aim, and sometimes seem to have an even bigger fire rate then before...
The CM901 undermount bug... I don't exactly know...

because they don't get any better at the game, give everyone an M4A1 and see how that same player does

Also if you are clearly better than the other player, you'll probably beat them 9 times out of 10. Like, a gun can be good, sure, but it doesn't completely tip the balance of the game. Like I said, I killed a guy using the Type 95 when I had the KSG-12, a supposedly useless gun, three times in a row while he knew where I was and was trying to kill me.
The G36C is my favorite gun in the game. I use silencer with Thermal. Its an amazing gun and i love it. I love it just like i did back in CoD4.
I am willing to let them completely remove the G36C from the game, on the condition that the Type 95 and the dual FMG9's are removed from the game. Thats how strongly i feel about it.
The only gun I've really felt comfortable with since I've started with is the MP5. I haven't used a single thing other than it and I'm working on the gold camo for it right now.
Ah, Call of Duty, brings out the best in people.
When it comes to weapons, the only one I really despise is the Type 95, mostly because it's fucking ugly and low-tech, but also because I get killed with it all the time...without getting kills with it myself.
im going to have a class, not use it primarly but if i find myself going like 3 and 7, im switching to a RDS+silenced T95 w Akimbo FMG9s
and hopefully it can do some work for me

Wow okay first of all if you think removing something from the game is a good way of balancing it, I hope you never work in game design.
Second of all, if you think the Type 95 and FMGs need to be removed from the game, you're overreacting. The Type 95 just needs a rate of fire nerf, and the FMGs need a hipfire accuracy nerf, and that's it. There's nothing inherently wrong with either of the guns, and they're actually easy to fix. Infinity Ward just hasn't gotten around to fixing them completely yet.

on the same token IT SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN THIS LONG TO NERF
on the same token IT SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN THIS LONG TO NERF
The FMGs probably should have been nerfed right out of the starting gate, but then again, hindsight is 20/20.
The Type 95 is fine in my opinion. It's popular, so you're bound to die by it a lot, but that's not because it's the best gun in the game. If it were absolutely the best gun in the game, literally everyone would use it, because there would be no reason to use anything else.
I can't really blame them for taking so long to patch it. They're a game developing studio on a constant development schedule. As soon as they're done with one Call of Duty, they move on to the next. Such is their cycle. So basically they're putting out patches in their spare time. The fact that they're putting aside time at all is nice. I mean, even disregarding that they're already working on the next Call of Duty, they also have post-launch DLC to worry about, and since they've vowed to come out with 2-3 pieces of DLC every month, for an entire year, kind of means they're up to their ears in DLC development right now.
Pretty much, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are really busy and swamped with work, probably. I can't really blame them for being a little slow on the draw on patching stuff in MW3 when nothing in it is really gamebreaking at the moment.
They really need to make the hipfire of the machine pistols wider in general. I mean the machine pistols in MW2 were fine. Some had great accuracy, like the PP2k, and the higher fire rates had recoil as fuck but effective at close range, where they should be effective. Akimbo should give you a straight up advantage at close range but they don't do that in MW3. They're too effective at close/medium range.

Every Akimbo Machine Pistol combo is basically the G18's from MW2, so I guess you're right, they all need a big hipefire nerf. Since the FMGs got nerfed, people might move on to the G18's, or the TMPs, since those have pretty big magazines.
I don't know how effective the machine pistols were at medium range pre-nerf. I think the fact that they were really effective was because all of the maps are really close quarters. Basically the fastest rate of fire with the best hipfire accuracy can beat most things in MW3.

You're missing the point.
He's saying just because a weapon is good doesn't mean it tips the scales. If you're better than another player, you're better than another player. If he killed you without much of a problem with the akimbo FMGs, he could probably do it with only a little more difficulty with an assault rifle. It doesn't completely throw off the balance of the game to the point where good players are being completely dethroned by bad players.

You see, thats the thing that I told you already.
When some guy using akimbo FMGs kills me and everyone else with them, he tops the scoreboard.
But as soon as he uses something else, his streaks suddenly plunge. Thats the problem. The FMG TRULY tips the scales. Its usually the difference between a win and a loss. Happens every time I see it in a game. Hell, when I'm losing and suddenly use the FMGs, I start winning.
You don't need to ADS, you can spray the hail of bullets from almost any distance you'd like, they kill fast as hell and if someone getting shot by you is trying to fight back, they wont probably win because their getting hit with a storm of bullets.
Its too good because it doesn't requires accuracy. You can just run into people firing them and you're guaranteed to win unless you didn't saw someone. With an AR, you'll have to stop, aim carefully at them and shoot.
Oh, you're on the xbox... Aim assist goes a long way...

No it doesn't. Aim assist does not completely change your gameplay experience.
You're overreacting. People had to actually unlock the akimbo attachment for the FMG, and get to Level 4 before they could even use the FMG. If they really sucked so badly with every other weapon, I doubt they'd have the patience or the know-how to get that far.
I've used the Akimbo FMGs before, and I actually do better with an ACR or an MP5. I've beat a lot of people using Akimbo FMGs. Sure, it's difficult if you get caught in close quarters, but I've actually killed them with a single shotgun blast from the KSG before they could actually drop me. It's all in the reflexes and the skill, not the gun.

Someone with not the best connection would disagree with you.
And it does. Aim Assist is what brought quickscoping to life. All the console based mw3 videos I see have flawless following aim, almost as good as aimbot.
And you make it sound like its really hard to get a few kills with a single FMG... Its not that hard, and things get even easier after you get the akimbo.

So apparently to you aim assist on the console changes certain stats of the FMG's? so if I went into a game now and used akimbo i'd be more accurate because of aim assist and then if I took aim assist of which yes you can do now on MW3 thanks to blops for giving us the option i'd not hit him as accurate as before?
