How is the FMG9 not nerfed on the PC yet. it's been over a month.
I just got raped earlier by a whole party full of faggots using akimbo FMG9s
Well, just got this game yesterday. About to finish downloading... can't wait to use every gun that is never used!
Sorry to sound like a poor beggar, but is anyone willing to trade me Black Ops?
[editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Fuuck, i forgot you can't trade already-owned games.
Doing something different tonight and playing BF3. YEAH BITCHES BF3 RULES AND MW3 BLOWSzZZZ. No, you know I'm a loyal CoD fan. It's kind of nice to play a different game sometimes though.

YOU SON OF A BITCH, YOU!
Being able to enjoy Battlefield and CoD is pretty awesome, get to have my awesome team based vehicle heavy huge map shootan as well as my fast paced precision arcade shootan.

I completely agree. Screw the whole argument between the two.

MODERN WARFARE MORE LIKE MODERN... SNOREFARE
Yeah I really enjoy both, a lot. They do a lot of great things, just in different areas.
Wish I had MW3 on the PC, I had to get it for xbox so that I can play coop with my brother and such.
I just raged so fucking hard. One thing I think a lot of people agree that IW or Sledgehammer could have improved on is their maps. I mean, holy shit, domintation on Downturn is complete shit. Don't get me wrong, the maps "okay", but the B flag is just completely bullshit. For god's sake the enemy will literally spawn in the tunnel behind you. That's pretty much the B flag in general, no matter what map it is. I think I'll just go back to TDM.

If only BF3 was on steam... I don't want to have anything to do with Origin, because I don't want my computer running a shitload of programs like it. Steam is enough, and Origin just because of BF3 is kind of... Bad...
Besides, my computer can't really handle it right.

Yeah I hated the maps at first then got used to them, but I'd still like a bit more open options. I'm sure the condensed nature of the map design caused some modes like domination that require the whole area to be annoying to play.

I don't mind Origin, it uses about a third of the memory Steam uses while also actually using my max download speed (Steam uses half), plus I simply close it after I stop playing BF3.
But yeah you need a pretty decent computer to run it well. This machine I have runs most games at high/medium-high settings just fine; BF3 runs at a consistent 30 FPS on lowest.

lol you call CoD a precision shooter, you didn't grow up in the nineties did you? :v:
lol you call CoD a precision shooter, you didn't grow up in the nineties did you? :v:
uh, the 90s are generally when the shooter genre is considered as being initially born.
Whether I grew up during those times is irrelevant; CoD is still a very precise shooter and is afforded that by its constant use of the heavily-modified Q3A engine base. Movement, aiming, and shooting are all really tight.
The hit detection has been ridiculous as of late. I have been getting kills with weapons, were at no time my crosshairs were actually on the person. Last night I had about 5 different kill cam shots, my cross hairs were a good foot from the person's head, when they were standing still, and I get I a kill. I was using sniper rifle at the time.
So if shooters didn't start in the 90s can someone fill me in on when they started? Because Wolf 3D is generally regarded as the first true FPS with Quake being the first true multiplayer FPS.

Kill cams, similarly to theater, only capture what the server sees and not the client. It's been a known bug since CoD4.
That said I have no problems with hit detection on good servers/hosts. Logically if someone on wireless 128k is hosting then it sucks but 9/10 I'm 3 bars atleast.

I'm disagreeing with shooting being very precise/tight.

How isn't it? Feels better than pretty much any other FPS that has come out in a few years.
next time i see akimbo FMG9s or a type95 and get killed by it, i'm going to sing about how i'm going to love and tolerate the fuck out of that person in the mic rather than raging, they'll be so confused i'll be able to kill them on my next spawn!

I see a tiny flaw with your plan.
What if that guy is in party chat? (Xbox verson)

By far, the worst hit detection I've seen was in CSS. I still remember the day I quit it and went on to search for a different FPS, which ended up being cod4.
I was coming from the stairs on dust2 and some guy was coming from the long doors. I basically shoved the AK's barrel into his face, unloaded on him, and he still killed me.
When I see on the console the damage I did, I saw that my point blank clear as water headshot made 30 damage. 30 fucking damage from an ak at point blank...
Same goes for when I spray the fuck out of someone, die, and then out of the 20 bullets I fired that couldn't POSSIBLY have disappeared, only 2 or 3 actually hit.
And thats on low ping servers.

The point of cs/cs:s is to spray as little as possible and go for accuracy instead. So I don't really see your point.

The problem with Source engine hit detection deals with how scaleable the engine is. It's made to lower the standards of the registration based on the type of machine it's running on, and this applies to the client and server as well. LAN matches of CS:S with good computers have amazing hit detection but for general internet shooting it is pretty bad. The amount of times I've seen peoples faces splattered red...

Origin doesn't really cause any lag or anything really. Just open it before you go to play, then shut it or leave it. Don't have it run automatic on Windows start.
It's just that the connectivity between Battlelog and launching BF3, and BF3, sometimes has problems.
But BF3's more detailed, more time spent coding etc, than MW3.

then my friend next to me will start laughing hysterically and thus probably die once and make my score look better by comparison :D

The fact that in 20 bullets, only 3 get registered is very bad, spraying or not spraying.

Even if that wasn't the problem, I'd still need a PC that can run it great at high/ultra settings.
