Can't wait until "Black Ops 2". Treyarch is officially making the next CoD, so I think it'll be awesome.

Cool. Black ops was a pretty big success IMO. Changed A LOT compared to MW2. Can't wait to see the trailer for this game.
Jesus Christ it's been a month since MW3 came out and you're already hyping the next game?

The trick is to only buy every other release.
if you have not made $60 in one year, i feel bad for your financial/economic status.
Rammaster i request more class setup videos immediately!!
We need to get an FP party together and fuck some shit up.
sadly i won't get the game until after christmas (maybe on christmas?)

I'm a fan of CoD in general, but I'm more of a fan of Treyarch than IW. Nothing wrong with hyping a game that will release in a year. Doesn't mean I won't play MW3 for that next year until the new one releases.

Treyarch wouldn't be shit if it wasn't for Infinity Ward, so I can't really give Treyarch too many props, especially because they piggyback off of whatever Infinity Ward did the previous game. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm sure they work hard, and they do make some interesting changes, but Infinity Ward does some legitimately original things from game to game, instead of just taking the last Treyarch game and making some changes.
I mean, I like Treyarch's games and all, but in my opinion they suffer from a lot more issues than Infinity Ward's games do. Complaining about balance in MW3? Go play World at War and then you can really complain about an unbalanced CoD. Complaining about how long it takes to unlock something? Go play Black Ops and have to level up just to be able to play more and earn money and buy one thing.
Like, I don't get how people can hate MW3 but love Black Ops. They're not that different, and in my opinion, Black Ops is inferior in every way. It was boring.
I'm still baffled how people manage to complain about campers when those "campers" are defending.
Got yelled at because I was camping near a bomb site on Search and Destroy (CoD4). I was on the defending side and I'm not one of those people that rush at the enemy, I'd rather stay back and wait for people to come at me.
they mad
i for one do not believe there is such a thing as camping when you're on defense of an objective.

Soon....
Also it would be sooner if I wasn't so lazy :v:

I know you're probably not referring to me specifically, and that was probably directed towards everyone, but I just like Treyarch games better. IW makes good games and is a great company, I just find myself having more fun in Treyarch games. It may be due to the fact that they're not under the category "Modern". CoD4 was amazing, but after that the Modern Warfare series just didn't have the same affect on me. I still have fun in every cod, though. Just personal preference.

The real campers are in TDM or FFA. There's no objective there but to kill. Eventually, campers from those gametypes migrate into others and it spreads like an infection. Maybe I didn't mean that, but yeah, that seems to be where the most campers are. Then again, the objective is to kill and not let the other team beat your team's number of kills. So I can see why they'd camp.

Last time we did that, we got the group disbanded because some asshole reported us :smith:
We made a smoke room on the bathroom in Estate. Good times. Even better if someone from the enemy team walked in on our claymores.

From what I know about Treyarch, they make nice games, but they end up being too balanced and having lots of technical problems. Multiplayer ended being too balanced, and everything too equal.
IW has OP stuff, but its cool I guess. Except for the extremely OP stuff.

WaW is still the most unbalanced CoD to date, in my opinion. There was really no reason to use a semi automatic rifle when you could just use an MG or an SMG, and the MP40 literally did more damage than any other gun in the game. You could then slap extended mags on it, which literally doubled the capacity. Combine that with the fact that Juggernaut and Stopping Power were both available to you, and at that point, there's really not much of a reason to use any other gun.
Tanks were also OP as fuck. You basically had to have a dedicated tank-killing class to even hope to take one out.
WaW had one thing going for it though: 4 player campaign on veteran was ridiculously fun.

On BO, you also needed to have something specialy made to shoot down aircraft, else you wouldn't be able to with a gun. In mw3, you can easily take down a helicopter with like 3 mags of mk14 or maybe less.
That sort of happens in every game. In mw1, you could use the AK and top everyone with it because its just perfect in every way. In mw2, the UMP was probably the best weapon to do it. BO had the famas until it was nerfed. Mw3 has... I don't know... FMGs, but if you count something like an AR, maybe... I don't know...
But they didn't do much more damage then other guns.
Am I the only one who feels sick/exhausted/dizzy after playing MW3 for more then an hour? This has NEVER happened to me in a game before... I mean, I can play with Kane and Lynch 2's shaky camera for hours on end... but just one our of MW3 makes me feel like crap.
There REALLY need to be a FoV slider... it's keeping me from wanting to play the game.

Or, y'know? Maybe the game isn't worth buying every year? Because it changes so little every year? Maybe worth a rent for the (shorter and shorter) singleplayer.

I had great fun dicking around in the co-op, even with random players. The fact they managed to make it relatively competitive co-op too was kind of cool in some ways, it encouraged pushing forwards.
I hope Black Ops 2 or whatever has Co-Op campaign.

this is why i hate the latency in the COD servers.
uh, the 90s are generally when the shooter genre is considered as being initially born.
Whether I grew up during those times is irrelevant; CoD is still a very precise shooter and is afforded that by its constant use of the heavily-modified Q3A engine base. Movement, aiming, and shooting are all really tight.
CoD is just a shooter, the engine doesn't determine the genre.
By far, the worst hit detection I've seen was in CSS. I still remember the day I quit it and went on to search for a different FPS, which ended up being cod4.
I was coming from the stairs on dust2 and some guy was coming from the long doors. I basically shoved the AK's barrel into his face, unloaded on him, and he still killed me.
When I see on the console the damage I did, I saw that my point blank clear as water headshot made 30 damage. 30 fucking damage from an ak at point blank...
Same goes for when I spray the fuck out of someone, die, and then out of the 20 bullets I fired that couldn't POSSIBLY have disappeared, only 2 or 3 actually hit.
And thats on low ping servers.
I'm sorry but it sounds like you just don't know how to play CSS
rule one: Never play on a server not on your continent(ever)
rule two:Never ever spray(that the croshair doesn't get much bigger doesn't mean your cone of fire doesn't)
rule three: aim for the head then you solly gun won't only do 30dmg

Also the 'war' gamemode was beast.

Well that was a bit uncalled for.
Anyway, all the video was stating is that people should really stop complaining about overpowered weapons. It's the players own choice to use them, and the people complaining can choose to use them, even if others dislike it.

I wasn't really calling it a genre so much as the movement and aiming are generally precise compared to games like Battlefield where it tends to feel more loose.
It sounds like you think I was trying to make some statement about video games when I really meant that it just feels like a tight shooter.
