Doesn't seem like a bad deal considering it comes with all the DLC for free. I just hope they actually make a hardened edition for the PC as well for once.
I'm going to get it
hardened is the super high pricey with lotsa stuff version correct? or is this the step above normal?
hardened is the super high pricey with lotsa stuff version correct? or is this the step above normal?
Hardened is usually the $80 version. It's between Normal and the super deluxe edition.

how many editions are there?
as many as there are grades of gas at my local gas station?

Three
Normal, Hardened, and Prestige.
Prolly won't go for Prestige, but i'll think about Hardened...
That's probably the best deal for hardened that they've ever had. I'm really curious to see what they're putting out in the Prestige edition.
Is it just me or does it feel like Activision is trying to step up their game for the fans after what happened with MW2 and Infinity Ward?

same as the grades of gas then, :D

errrr not really, seems like they're just throwing together a package like they have for all previous cod games, with some shiny stuff involving CoD:elite. Seems like they slightly upgraded the "middle" grade of package.
Who thinks they *might* include lifetime CoD:Elite membership for Prestige? I think it's possible but not probable
it has all the "collectables" you could ever care for, guess they're milking the series's plot for all the merch it's worth
Elite should be for free. I doubt anyone would want to use it except 10 year old kids.

The stat tracking bit is free, which is the only part I am interested in.

good otherwise EA could say: "Battlefield: Free stats since BF2"
although online stats were originally a battlefield thing, "stat padding" originated in BF2 yo.
it would be interesting to see what stat padding would look like in cod, other than someone running around with a LMG killing AFKers on shipment.

reminds me of
"Multiplayer. Free with every purchase of CoD!"
Can't wait for all the BF fags we'll come across trying to drive a car, but instead gets blown to pieces.
SUPER HAPPY FUN TIME

Uh getting all of the Call of Duty map packs (which are fifteen bucks a pop) for twenty more dollars is a pretty fucking good deal no matter what way you look at it.

I hate BF fanboys more than CoD fanboys because they always assume everybody who plays CoD has an IQ lower than 5 and cannot adjust to a different game enviornment. I went from CoD to BF:BC2 and BF1942 without having a single problem. I even top-scored like a boss, and yet they assume I can barely drive? Fuck that man, I could probably kick their ass at their own game if I never played it before. And especially on CoD videos, you see tons of hate. I follow a bunch of commentators, some almost exclusively do BF videos. But they would post 1 video of CoD, the comments are ridiculous. "Wow this isnt amazing battlefield this is shit cod" "BF >>>>>>>> COD " "wow im unsubbing you play cod faggot". I honestly can't believe when that happens, because the BF fans seriously act less mature than the cod ones do. And then they play it off like they're all high and mighty. You always have that one guy that calls you "kid". Always uses it as an insult. "Lol no u just suck at bf kid"
The amount of CoD Fanboy's in RO2 is shocking, when they get ignored they just start TK'ing, reminds me of hardcore servers all over again xD. I'm looking forward to MW3, purely for the story.
So do you get a pass for all the DLC or is there launch DLC?
You get free DLC if you are a subscriber of elite, comes with a free year of Elite, therefore you get all DLC for MW3 for free because the next COD game will be out by then.

And if someone tries to take my carepackage when I want to change it.
Juggernaut avatar outfit looks insanely cool, going to use it with my riot shield.
That field journal looks to be pretty shnazzy too, summing up all the missions from MW and MW2.
Steam weekend deal is all of the Call of Duty games.
Black Ops: $40.19
Modern Warfare 2: $14.99
-Stimulus Package: $7.49
-Resurgence Pack: $7.49
Modern Warfare: $9.99
World at War: $9.99
War Chest (Includes Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and United Offensive): $14.99

(Anyone doing any raffles for Modern Warfare 2? I'd love to play that on PC)
But not the Blops DLC.
Damn it.

I'd rather play the missions than read about it, unless it deals with the level design and technical game design stuff behind it.

True, true, but i think it's more of mission briefings and debriefings of "what you did" during those missions, i just think it'd be cool for nostalgia above all else.
Got the warchest. Call of duty 1 doesn't work.
ugh

Wow a successful game company made money. The world is clearly over. How dare people buy things that are fun.
SHAME ON EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT BLACK OPS AND THE MAP PACKS YOU ARE FUELING SOMETHING THAT IS APPARENTLY MORE EVIL THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY!
