it'd be nice if the developers took a greater interest in the PC area of gaming. a lot seem to just not care and focus on consoles instead.
That's fairly unlikely to happen. I'm not saying the Devs are all about the money, but it's fairly obvious where their priorities lie.
AS50 seems promising. [editline]5th September 2011[/editline] [t]http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/7742/fad2fv5.jpg[/t]
I think Moon is the Nazi Zombie map , not just for Black Ops, but for anything, because there is no game over song.
Something I wonder, IW has became a console developer pretty much, yet somehow their PC ports have godlike optimization. What the fuck I don't even how.

I can't remember the last AAA PC FPS game that wasn't made by Valve that had either... Think it was COD4/WaW actually....
Played the Blops free weekend, multiplayer was fun for about 30 minutes, then got boring as usual.
Right click goes back on menus, and the X button isn't meant to work.
That isn't intuitive to the user at all, and why shouldn't the x button work? Also the lack of a pause function sucks.
Gamespot have just put up some pictures of the conference thing they did in LA. No matter what you think of CoD as a whole, I have to admit, that is one big group of oddballs. Sumo wrestling grunts, and the usual inadequate cosplayers. Have to admit, they paintballing looks fun though.

Bowling confirmed on twitter that kills for ks awards will stack only for assault class... Hope i'm not late

Confused by title, I thought homefront got great reviews? :saddowns: Edit: Wow, ok maybe not (after looking at IGN)
Confused by title, I thought homefront got great reviews? :saddowns: Edit: Wow, ok maybe not (after looking at IGN)
Well of course IGN said it was bad. :zing: Anywho, Homefront was awful. But that's not what the thread was about, is it.
Well of course IGN said it was bad. :zing: Anywho, Homefront was awful. But that's not what the thread was about, is it.
Not at all, I just flew by to sort out my confusion. Guess I'll :frog: now...
Oh boo hoo, you can't pause a damned WIP game. It must suck because it doesn't make it easy for you. You must lead a HARD life.
It's not that hard to make a pause function, plus it's made in game maker so it should be even easier.
Not at all, I just flew by to sort out my confusion. Guess I'll :frog: now...
No don't, we don't hate you! My posts are so ugly, everyone died.
The end.
I rather liked Homefront, played it the other day for an hour and had fun. Really overmarketed though.
The multiplayer is gonna be completely different now with Raven software. It doesnt look good at all.
I disagree, the trailers and interviews I have seen make this look really good.
The multiplayer is gonna be completely different now with Raven software. It doesnt look good at all.
They didn't even say that Raven Software works for MW3...
I'm pretty excited for that FMG9. Looks like I'd want to pair it with my M4 [If it preforms like MW2's]
The one thing I hate about MW2 is the redicilous amount of snipers and quick scopers. Many times I might be having a 20 - 0 kill streak. I see a sniper coming around the corner and pop a couple of bullets at him with my Vector getting 3 hit markers, when he does this: And in the killcam it shows that my bullets actually missed him.

It's a weapon that takes some getting used to.
The vector suffered at even some of the closest ranges. It's a weapon that takes some getting used to.
I fucking loved it simply because of the amount of bullets it put down range so quick.
People saying that MW3 is just an updated version of MW2. Well isnt that kinda the point? BF3 just an updated version of BF2. Its the same but better graphics. Skyrim is just an updated version of Oblivion and so on and so on. Why would IW change the succesful formula and the reliable engine when people got so pissed off when Treyarch made a balanced COD for a change. "Change the game, but keep it the same. It will still suck because its COD."
Because, you need to break it down. They're reusing 70%+ of the stuff in MW2 for MW3. For example, take a look at the M4A1. Same reload animation, same firing sound, slightly different model. SCAR-H, same EVERYTHING, just repainted black. Hell, they've reused the same sprinting animation for every COD since COD4, up until now. Another example, ACR. Same firing sound, same reload animation, just reskinned. The whole game screams laziness. BF3, on the other hand, re-uses nothing from the previous games, save the VOs for MP (they didn't reuse the sound files, just rehired the actors), and the HUD for BF3 looks similar to that of MOH. It's not that people want a completely new game everytime, it's just that COD reuses so much stuff its ridiculous. Honestly, I guarantee you that all the AI animations from MW3s campaign will be reused from a previous COD, save the cut scenes. Even in the trailers, I spotted stuff being reused. Doorkicking animations from COD4, the SEAL in the Zodiac boat in the Harbor mission reuses Price's boat animation from the the last mission in MW2. It's lazy and rather insulting that they get away with this kind of stuff. That said, I'm still going to buy it.
Oh my fucking god, shut the fuck up. The SCAR has a different magazine since it's the SCAR-L, the sounds and reload animations are probably placeholders, and they aren't using the same fucking sprint animation. The AI animations aren't re-used either. I know for a fucking fact that they have a new door-breaching animation and a new kicking-the-door-open animation, and that's just from one level. Your post seriously makes me angry because it's so ignorant. It's like you're trying to troll.

And I'm not trying to troll, I'm explaining why a lot of people say that MW3 is just MW2.5. As I said, I KNOW they aren't using the same sprinting animation, I even said that in the post if you actually went through and read it before freaking out. And yes, the AI animations ARE re-used. They have been since COD4, and the door-kicking animation is no exception. I didn't even mention the door-breaching animation, in which case you're correct, it has been replaced. And no, I'm not ignorant at all. I'm observant and can tell in an instant what's being reused.
