World at War had MG bipods.
true but MW2 appeared to abandon that idea despite MGs retaining bipods cosmetically, as mounted guns (miniguns) were re-implemented into maps.
Bipods did not return in black ops, I'm guessing CoD has abandoned bipods as of now
managed to get flak jacket pro at level 24 and only need 14 more flashbansg kill for tac mask
im on a roll
I would get Tactical Mask Pro, but I always use Willy Petes. Bigger chance of getting a kill/assist IMO.

Too bad you couldn't really mount on anything other than the ground on occasion.
you run faster with more weight on your gun?
your fingers get high on speed because there's something supporting it?
but bipods are primarily for stability, and I can't see CoD having weapons resting any time soon. It just seems too fast-paced for that.
Well, you don't have to worry about holding the gun so you can focus on firing and bolting.
Too bad you couldn't really mount on anything other than the ground on occasion.
Yeah, it was just the ground and select sandbag barriers. Kind of a shame, setting up defenses like that isn't seen much in a game like CoD.
i dont know much about it, but it feels like people buying elite for a ridiculous price, get amazing perks and better things in game- as opposed to people who are now going to get ripped to shreds because they dont want to/cant buy the elite thing. it really annoys me.

"bolt cycling"
anyways the way I was taught to use bolt actions was to cycle the bolt with my right hand, my left had would be supporting the gun, doing the bipod's work anyways. Your left hand is almost always supporting the gun with a bolt action.
it's not like CS where you cycle the bolt with your left hand (that's an incorrect model and animation)

Uh elite doesn't give any advantages in game.
Also I have enough TF2 promo to trade for a copy of mw3, should I do it or hold off for another month or so?
Gah, why do they include quickscoping in MW3? that's not how snipers work. They should reward the patient, not some spastic kids with modded controllers and 10 sensitivity.
Well, it's kinda hard sitting in one place with your eye in the scope in CoD because you can overwatch like a little corridoor but you can still be flanked from a million of directions easy and fast.
Thats why you either set up claymores around you or turn up the sound to hear the footsteps or why you constantly run around and stop to snipe people, changing positions.

Well in theory a sniper could 'quickscope' someone in real life. All he'd have to do is raise it quickly and fire. You just don't see snipers doing it because it's impractical and will get you killed really easily, like how it is in-game. 10 sensitivity has nothing to do with how well you can quickscope, nor does having a modded controller.
If you guys are seriously getting killed that often by people who are quickscoping I question your skill at the game.

They don't quickscope IRL because shooting from the hip isn't as inaccurate as it is in game, and because there shouldn't be a reason to at their engagement ranges. IIRC quickscoping is used to kill people at medium range, because it tightens accuracy from the noscope. Unless you have a better reason, :P

Wait are these agrees to trade or to hold off? :v:
I'm suddenly torn between SoH Pro and Hardened Pro for my M14 class.
I've started to notice that I don't really need to get the aim down as quick as soh makes it, and with less flinch I can get the two shots needed to take out the guy shooting at me while he's shooting at me.
Hardened if you're playing Hardcore/Headquarters. SoH for everything else.
I can't find any reliable source of information about mw3 perks. Will there be an effect similar to Hardline Pro in Blops? I've heard yes and no

No. Go to the wiki, it has what all the perks do and what most of the pro perks do.
Overkill was pretty good in CoD 4, except stopping power made it hard to choose. So hopefully, it'll work out.

Well since there's no Stopping Power, you should be fine.

Guys, what you think about the idea that PC players will get free dlc?
I mean, it's plausible, they don't talk about elite on pc, no hardened edition, retailer GAME pointed out on their site this "Downloadable content not available on PC."...
It would be win win move from activision, console players will probably buy it also on PC for free dlc, more PC players will buy the game...i'm very interested to see what will they do
edit: also public server files...

How would that be a win-win? Console players would get pissed off at them for inequality between platforms, and Activision would lose money. Sure, it might sway some PC players, but that's it, and judging from how much of a shit fit PC players are throwing over everything Activision does, if I were them, I wouldn't be too eager to cater to them.
Activision would make tons of dosh from Console users wanting to buy the PC version. Even if they sell their Console copy, they can't possibly get their retail price back.
It wouldn't make a HUGE ton of dosh, but still enough.
Got to play MW3 survival mode earlier today at Gamefest. It takes a few rounds to actually become interesting, but once you get to about wave 5 it becomes pretty intense and I can definitely see myself playing it a lot once the game comes out. Unfortunately we only got to play until wave 12 before we got moved along, but already by that point things were getting very hectic so I can see that this will get challenging very fast, unlike other similar modes like Gears 2 horde where it takes a long time for a challenge to kick in.
The thing I really liked about the game was the way that the guns felt - there was very noticable sway when aiming down sights and the recoil meant you actually had to control your firing, unlike MW2 where there was next to no recoil. I definitely hope that this same feel carries over to multiplayer, as it should prevent people sniping you across the map with "laser beam" assault rifles like in MW2.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the survival mode, as I expected it to just be some simple "wave defense" gamemode, but there was a good variety of enemies and the currency system gave you a lot of freedom to make choices about what weapons/upgrades to buy.
