Ok, this is it. BO is shit. Its like that Simpsons episode with Buck McCoy where Snake and his gang shoot at the lasso and the bullets go right through the middle with no harm done. This is PRECISELY the same shit! MW2 would be hundreds of times better if it had a server based system where I wouldn't have 3 bars out of 8 or whatever. Oh, and saw a cheater in MW2 today. He didn't even fake it, it was like aim precisely at head, shoot, kill, basically teleport sights to another head, shoot, kill, repeat. How come they always use those stupid looking player cards with hearts and shit.

[editline]27th September 2011[/editline] Oh it`s console only :suicide:
I'm not sure why some of you guys have problems, but whenever I join a lobby, I get really good ping. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline] In Modern Warfare 2

[editline]27th September 2011[/editline] In Modern Warfare 2
Same here. Same with Black Ops, too. I always get perfectly fine hit detection, and get kills just fine. I don't know why everyone complains about it.
I don't know why everyone complains about it.
Maybe because they do have problems with connection, i thought that was obvious.
"Double XP after Prestige" What? That seems a tad unfair. It should be just another custom class, IMO.
Wait what?
Same here. Same with Black Ops, too. I always get perfectly fine hit detection, and get kills just fine. I don't know why everyone complains about it.
I got a lucky 10k players playing, of which not even 3k players were on TDM. I take about 1-2 mins to get into a game (not joking or extending the real time, its the actual time) and when I do, 95% of the games, I have less then half the bars (should mean 150+ ping?) which is sometimes 2 or 3, or I get at max 1 or 2 bars short of the best connection. When I get in a fire fight, I can empty a 30 mag on someone and die, and the killcam shows me firing not even half or 0 bullets. You know the ACR right? If you fire it at any range, full auto ADS, you should see a cluster of 4 bullet holes, all hugging each other on the wall you shot. Tell me, how the hit markers only "click" about 5 times or less in 10 bullets? In black ops, I see people shooting at someone's side and killing them instead of aiming at the model. I shoot a 30 round mag from the ak74 at someone from at least a meter away without ADS, less then 5 bullets hit. Other times I ADS at the chest, start firing and not even half of the small amount of bullets I shot seem to be detected. Then I watch the killcams, and they killed me alot of time before I did anything. Sure, my internet sucks ass, but on MW2, even with shit connection, I can get some kills. In Black Ops, I have a bit better connection, and it seems as bad as a MW2 game with 2 bars. To me, its incredibly bad. Hell, I've sit on my ass, steadied the scope sway, waited like 2 breaths with the crosshair aimed precisely at the center of some guy's skull, and shot TWICE, both times steadied, without even a hit marker! This reminds me of BC2's sniping, where you have to aim a bit over the head for the bullet to go to the head at long ranges. In here, you have to aim at the front of where the guy is going or probably at his back, but never at him, since even at a meter of distance, ADSing and shooting straight at him wont do anything... /rant
"Double XP after Prestige" What? That seems a tad unfair. One is Double XP after prestige, one is like, double XP for weapon leveling, and you can only take the double XP ones once. Then there's 'exclusive gear', custom classes, and exclusive titles/callsign stuff. The Double XP stuff isn't really unbalanced, it just means you get to the next prestige faster. It's kind of a waste of a buy, if you ask me. [editline]27th September 2011[/editline]
I got a lucky 10k players playing, of which not even 3k players were on TDM. I don't see why people say Black Ops is a bad game due to issues that have nothing to do with the legitimate game itself. If it has poor optimization on the PC or you have a hard time getting a good connection, that does not make it a bad game. These are things that are pretty much out of the hands of the game itself. They're either some errors with a version of the game, or issues with your connection.

MW1 with more lag has less problems then this, and since I'm not the only one that has performance issues and these bad connections, I guess the game really suffers from this and its not a client thing. Hell, you saw how many performance upgrades they did, and even after that, some people with powerfull PC's still had problems with it. Its very well known that the game DOES have alot of issues performance wise on every platform.

I'm saying don't say it's a shitty game because it has performance issues on the PC. That doesn't make it a shitty game, it means on the PC you have a hard time playing it.

Not a problem per-say, but still awfully bad, especially for such a multiplayer based game. What makes it a non-shitty game then? Actually, certain aspects of it pale in comparison to MW2. Mostly technical issues, hence why I call it a somewhat shitty game. They could have made it better then MW2, and they just made it worse, and even gave it an outdated "updated" engine, that belonged to WaW. Its beyond me why they did this, when they could have used MW2's engine and get better quality and performance.

If the host is on the enemy team, odds are, you will lose. Every game has the problem of 'if you have a bad connection you do horribly'. What makes it a non-shitty game? Really? What about the plot, which was a hell of a lot deeper than any other Call of Duty stories? Or Nazi Zombies, which is always a ton of fun, not to mention all of the super original content they've brought to it, along with all of the original maps as well. The customization in Black Ops is something unseen in a Call of Duty game, and it looks like MW3 won't be picking up on it,so it's customization is utterly unique to that game. It also has a ton of weapons you don't usually see in video games (G11, Specter, CAR-15) and some really original ideas for killstreaks (Having an SR-71 was a really cool idea, and of course the SAM turret, which is something MW3 is actually keeping) and the always fun Call of Duty multiplayer at the base of it all. The engine isn't really outdated. Infinity Ward has been taking their old engines and making small improvements, and so have Treyarch. MW2's engine was built off the Call of Duty 4 engine, and the MW3 engine is built off the MW2 engine. If you really want to talk about outdated, all of the engines the Call of Duty games use are outdated. They've been using the same framework for each engine for years and years now, with very little in the way of technological advancement. Also, you didn't call it 'somewhat shitty', you made two separate rants about how shitty you thought it was. Saying it's better or worse than MW2 isn't really a fair comparison. Sure, it's the same series, but it was made by a completely different developer with completely different things in mind. It would be more apt to compare it to World at War or something, since that was really their last game before Black Ops.
Yeah but it's shitty :v:
If you didn't realise, I was talking performance wise. Either that or the PC version has some hitbox issues, but since you say people kill you really easily, it probably isn't that.
Bad connection, probably. Either that or the PC version has some hitbox issues, but since you say people kill you really easily, it probably isn't that.
I just hope MW3 is the opposite.
I just hope MW3 is the opposite.
i generally run with a 3 bar connection in MW2, i play just fine
MW2 didn't have many problems with the PC version, so MW3 probably won't either. Infinity Ward really know their shit when it comes to porting to the PC, I guess.
Would make sense as they started as primarily PC developers... Oh, wait, wasn't Treyarch as well?
Maybe. Treyarch has also had good PC ports of things. Apparently they just goofed with Black Ops.
Preordered mw3.
I think the difference between Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops is Modern Warfare 3 doesn't feel like it's going to run on $2 Servers hosted on the Moon, or somewhere where a good connection seems nearly impossible. (On PC anyway and for alot of people, not everyone, me being one of them) [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] That was my problem with the PC Version, i got lag all the time because i wasn't rubber banding it was just the game seemed to jump around alot and the framerate never seemed constant. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] And no my connection isn't crap, i can run pretty much any game with a perfect framerate and connection on both console and computer. [editline]29th September 2011[/editline]
Preordered mw3.
Same, if it's anything like Modern Warfare 2, (In my opinion) it will be pretty fun, so i'll like it.
