Dumbs for wanting to have fun
Dumbs for being dumb, actually. Great, as soon as you get a game that already has a bad rep, you're going to annoy everyone and give CoD players an even worse rep than they already have.
"PHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRR" "U MAD BRO LOL?" "PHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" If that's what you're excited for, then maybe this isn't the right game for you.

There's a difference between Base mic spam, and Soundboards. Maybe I forgot to put that in there. "Stop Whining!"
First thing I'm gonna do when I get the game is die because I will either have lag or wont be able to handle the new stuff. BTW, anyone knows what are the default classes like? Probably made of burst AR, mp5, barret/as50 and so on...

I always beat the campaign before touching multiplayer, no matter how shit it is (campaign)

It's UMP. I do think you start out with the AS50 for the sniper class though. [editline]3rd October 2011[/editline] Some guy named Wizard Of Ass just came though and rated us dumb, cool.
G36 was my favorite AR in MW.
This guy seems to have it exactly right on my opinion of Elite:
Oh man I remember the awesome zombie survival maps in future perfect.
This guy seems to have it exactly right on my opinion of Elite:
One minute into the video and it's already stupid. "I don't care who you are I don't care what you say" wow great I can already tell you are level-headed and know all the facts bro. Really? There will be DLC that we'll have to pay for down the road? Okay Nostradamus, can you predict the winning lottery numbers for me? Activision has confirmed that one year of Elite will bag you ALL THE DLC IN THAT YEAR. It's great if you think Activision is trying to rip you off or is going to rob in you some way, but they have already confirmed that if you have Elite, you get the DLC. $110 dollars just to play a game? What? The paid Elite service is completely optional. If you have the money to spend on it, go for it. If you hate the service so much, don't buy it. If you don't plan on getting any of the DLC anyways, there's no reason for you to buy it. Also, Activision confirmed that the DLC would equal sixty dollars in value by the end of the first year, so you're actually getting the DLC cheaper than if you buy them all individually, not to mention the other things that come with Elite. If you plan on getting DLC for MW3, then Elite is for you. I mean fuck, you can get the hardened edition (which is apparently $100) to get a free year of Elite, which means you get all of the DLC for twenty dollars off. That's a third of the price. If you pay forty dollars when the game comes out, you pay two thirds of the price of DLC, and that's only if the rumors about the Hardened edition being 100 dollars are true. They might be $80 like usual, which means you get all of the DLC at one third of the original price. That's a pretty fucking good deal if you're planning on buying it all anyways. Wow nostalgia glasses much? Timesplitters had a lot of content, and it was great at the time, but it's a pretty shitty game by today's standards. Also, I like how he says nowadays you get charged for challenge, arcade, and map editors. World at War, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, and now Modern Warfare 3 have challenge/arcade modes. Gears of War 3 has an arcade mode. Halo 3 had a map editor and so does Halo: Reach. Halo 3: ODST and Reach both have challenge/arcade modes, as well. This guy is seriously talking out of his ass. I like how he mentions Nazi Zombies even though Modern Warfare 3 doesn't even had that (man he knows so much about MW3!!!11!111) and talks about how it's MW2 with a new coat of paint. Okay, please share me this early-access copy you played, bro! Suddenly he goes on this rampage of how game campaigns are too short and people release DLC. Uh, buy a longer single player game if you want a longer single player experience, and don't pay for DLC if you don't want it? Like, holy fuck, this guy is just harping on how evil DLC is. "Don't sit there and try to defend MW3 from me! Don't sit there and try to defend the Elite service from me!" Okay. Everyone who disagrees with you is obviously just defending the game/service and is not allowed to have an opinion different from yours. He's suddenly saying you HAVE to get the Elite service for MW3 (He's now referring to it as a $110 dollar game) and also saying you HAVE TO BUY the Season Ticket for Madden (Even though it comes free with new copies of the game) and then he goes on about how everything is going to get so expensive and how boo hoo developers release DLC and how woe as him the evil developers are squeezing us for money and we need to stand up for ourselves because everything costs all the money. Goddamn, that guy is stupid. All of this is only two minutes and fifty-five seconds into the video, too. He's already shown such an uneducated opinion on the Elite service and MW3, and the video isn't even half way over. It's stupid fear mongering, and he's acting like he's entitled to cheap video games in the first place. Video Games aren't an entitlement, they're not needed to live your day-to-day life. If they get too expensive for you, stop buying them. Sorry for the wall of text everyone, just, I feel the need to point out exactly how incorrect this guy is. It's not even an opinion, he's saying it's a fact, and he's wrong.
Actually it's uh G36C with Red Dot and Grenade Launcher for the default assault class, actually. Also no MP5 in the default SMG class. It's UMP. [editline]3rd October 2011[/editline] Some guy named Wizard Of Ass just came though and rated us dumb, cool.
Huh, much better choices then before! Finally we don't have to be stuck with a burst fire. Also, who likes the new UMP? :v: I wont even bother viewing that. He's probably one of those guys who as soon as he hears about a new CoD game, he wrongly predicts that you have to get every DLC and if you don't, you die, and if you do, you go poor. AKA, every FPer on the bandwagon of hate. Sorry, but it is. Countless times I've seen people around FP saying the same shit, and when Elite was shown to the world, they didn't wait even a split second before they said MW3 would be P2P, and, as always, assume that you have to get the DLC. Don't know why... I love this kind of stupidity. Its like getting a car, then your friend also gets a car and says its better then yours because of X. Then this goes on with you saying it isnt and showing how X is actually better in yours, but then his Y is better, then his Z is better, and then when those actually aren't, he says "HURR BUT ITS RED, IT SUCKS" or something like "HURR DON'T CARE, SUCKS ANYWAY"
Eh.
Let me guess, Marathon Lightweight Commando Knifers? [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] Also it's Non-Consensual.
Eh
Verbal diarrhea.
Wow. Just, wow. Did you really just try to justify the actions of these companies? Did you really just try using the "Don't buy it then" argument? Did you seriously, honestly, just defend the companies that are grabbing all the money they can from us with shady practices? Because if you did, good job, you are the exact person they target with this shit. As much as you hate the arguments that guy had, he is entirely correct. In the recent years video game developers have fallen, we are loosing content with almost every game that comes out in favor of DLC and subscription services. You claim Activision will give you all the DLC for that year. Sure, they probably will. But I really, really doubt it would be enough DLC to make up the $50 pricetag. Especially if you are looking at it from a new content perspective, where once again, the maps were probably meant to be in the game in the first place, and were cut for DLC purposes, or will be remakes of older maps. Not worth my money in a normal circumstance, let alone paying out for a subscription service that seems to offer jack shit that is actually useful. Using "don't buy it lol" as an argument really infuriates me. That is not how the service would be stopped. Just one person out of a sample of 100 (as an example) not buying the service will not stop the service from existing. This is the problem, we may not like the service, but thanks to extremely aggressive advertising, and making it out like the service is actually a bonus (that we used to get for free in games remember!) will mean the average idiot who doesn't care about the industry, about the treatment of the customer just because "cawadooty lol" will continue to buy it. Encouraging this behavior in the industry. You say we can just buy the hardened edition for possibly $20+. Like fuck the content they provide in that, let alone the base game, will actually be worth $80. For that kind of money a few years ago that would buy you so much more. For example, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (which only cost a small bit more than the $20 estimate here if I recall) included re-mastering of the original games, a new Multi-player functionality, changes to the game for the better. A more modern example? The Metal Gear Solid collection recently announced. For the price of a average game, you get HD remakes of MGS2, MGS3, a free copy of MGS and if you buy it from some retailers? MGS4 too. All but the copy of MGS are physical, permanent things, you can trade, sell or keep those forever. Call of Duty: MW3 Hardened? Mostly digital exclusives that firstly, nobody will care about, and secondly, will lower the resale value of the game. The only things you can sell on from that are the art book and game. 2 of 6 "bonuses". Awful. I implore you, how do I buy a longer single player game, when most companies are making shorter and shorter campaigns? How do I buy a game which will last me for months, if not years, without it having a multi-player tacked to to increase the lifespan in this market? There aren't many games like the ones you so willing seem to believe there are anymore. The market is being saturated with shorter games as, again, the common player today doesn't give a fuck. Instead, opting to release content that was planned to be in the game as DLC anyway. Many developers have been caught out with this (Deus Ex: HR is a good example, the DLC was in the game the whole time, just hidden). We shouldn't stand for it, rather than providing us a complete game, the publishers and some developers are butchering the game into small (possibly rotten) DLC chunks, instead of giving us the entire joint. Not buying these games is not going to stop it. What if I want to play the game? But I don't agree with all the practices? Well, I could always buy the game, but by next year I won't be able to have all the fun it was meant to provide thanks to the sheer amount of DLC. A good example is CoD: W@W. After a year the online segment became unplayable due to every lobby on the console versions sticking you on map pack maps, even if you did not own them. Nazi Zombies became unplayable as people were playing the map pack levels. People like me who could not afford, or did not want to buy these just had our game cut short thanks to DLC. Before calling this guy stupid, actually take a step back, and look at gaming in the past. We used to get complete games, with expansion packs released once in a blue moon to add to the base game. You could still always play the base game without the pack just fine, you could even play with people who had the packs and see the content in some cases (Warhammer 40k Dawn of War, Dawn of War II). The current way we are treated as customers is disgusting, and it isn't going to change soon thanks to people such as yourself and gaming becoming so accepted by the uncaring masses. Oh, and don't talk shit about Timesplitters bro, that game still holds up to modern standards believe it or not. The graphics are aged, the sound is pretty bad, but it plays fucking well. With a group of friends, that is still one of the only games to have us in hysterics, even today. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline]
I wont even bother viewing that. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] Actually, I just want to re-enforce that special editions argument; http://www.game.com.au/dark-souls-limited-edition/xbox-360/DKSOULS360 Suck it. That is $AUS, which already makes games more expensive than they should be.
Verbally shitting alot in one go
Seriously i need to know how many people have read the entire post of both Grim Joker and hexpunK now.
Seriously i need to know how many people have read the entire post of both Grim Joker and hexpunK now.
If you didn't why are you posting in reply to them? A post with such arrogance and ignorance towards other posters inputs should be punished with lashings. I read both, and need not reply. [editline]quoting me, ey?[/editline] Timesplitters is a boss hexpunk, I like you.
Timesplitters is infinitely better than any Call of Duty game, you get more than your moneys worth even if it is an old game, i still have my Original Xbox version of it and come back to it every now and then and it's still just as awesome as it was when i first got it.

Sigh. I prefer mw1's gameplay over mw2 (I heard mw2 has a lot of overpowered shit) But I love the general feel of mw2. CoD4 feels old and stale. This beats the mw1 Spetsnaz theme by a long shot.
I used have that Theme as my wake up music for my alarm, i loved waking up to it, it sounds so good.
Anybody know why Black Ops keep popping up with "Downloading game settings"? It's really annoying.
Some guy named Wizard Of Ass just came though and rated us dumb, cool.
CoD thread bros man... we should like have a "not rate dumb" agreement so we can see what randoms come through and rate us dumb.
G36 was my favorite AR in MW.
IIRC it had a slower RoF than the M4 Carbine (yes I know it's a M4A1, bla bla bla), and more recoil, yet some people just liked the looks (including me) although AK will always be my fav.
...we should like have a "not rate dumb" agreement...
I don't understand the wording on this.
I don't understand the wording on this.
all the regulars (me, you, dass, Zillamaster, Grim Joker, VMonkey, etc.) should all have an agreement not to rate each other dumb so we can see how much hate we attract from other users.
Oh right now i get what you mean, well we do have a list of who rates us so even if we got rated dumb, we know who did it, and if it's not a regular then we're generating hate from the, i'm going to say irregulars?

But seriously, it's a 16x16 image, spegin' over that is pretty stupid. I brought MW2 to uni with me (most recent CoD game, kind of fun). Just to find we are only provided with one network port, which is pretty much dedicated to my Laptop (which can't run games well). Shame, I played solo spec ops way too much over the summer and dare not touch it now.
