It was DICE ok?... DICE...
DICE re-use more assets than most other AAA developers? Oh that slaps me on the knee! Valve are probably the worst offenders for re-use of assets, almost everything in every Source engine game has a chance of showing up in a entirely unrelated game (not just the stock sounds they use either). I don't see anywhere near that level of re-use from almost every other developer out there (even IW, Treyarch, etc.). DICE especially don't seem to re-use that much content. That kind of comment makes it seem like you have a hatred hardon for DICE really, if you picked them over more obvious choices.
Why?
Horrible hitreg [editline]13th October 2011[/editline]
DICE re-use more assets than most other AAA developers? Then again what about those fighting games and their color swaps?
Started playing CoD4 again as a preparation for BF3 and MW3. I know it's unlikely but I'd love to see loyalist russians come back in some form. Their presence in MW1 made the game much more realistic (and comfortable in some way) for me.

Modern Warfare 2 - Second Sun, best mission for life.
Modern Warfare 2 - Second Sun, best mission for life.
Remind me what it was about.
Remind me what it was about.
Nuke detonates, and the EMP wipes out all the electronics in DC. You and your squad stumble through the city looking for friendlies. Really quiet and moody mission.
Remind me what it was about.
I'm hoping it involves a alien planet, with the title hinting at a second sun and everything v:v:v
I'm hoping it involves a alien planet, with the title hinting at a second sun and everything v:v:v
It's an allusion to the fact that when a nuclear bomb detonates it is extremely bright. In the beginning of the mission it explodes in the sky, hence, 'Second Sun'.
Nuke detonates, and the EMP wipes out all the electronics in DC. You and your squad stumble through the city looking for friendlies. The rain gave it an increadible touch.

And rather enjoyed the mission, it was a nice change of pace, even the shooting was more meaningful somehow. But clearly, I can't make jokes in the thread anymore. Call of Duty v10 - No fun allowed edition.

You'd be surprised at how many people don't know what 'Second Sun' is referring to.
What was the thing that annoyed me the most in MW2? Killstreaks? No Commando? No Tac-Knife? No Tubers? No OMA Tubers? No Nuke? No Quickscopers? No THE FUCKING GAP BETWEEN UNLOCKING THINGS, that's what. "Oh man this <primary> is awesome, but I'd rather have more bullet penetration. What's the challenge?" 300 Mother Fucking, Ass Titting, Dick Sniffing, Boob Sucking, Anal Twangling Kills "Uh, okay then. But how do I get more ammo?" 40 Kills through walls using FMJ. Deal with it. Fuck Dat Shiiiiiit. [editline]13th October 2011[/editline]
It's an allusion to the fact that when a nuclear bomb detonates it is extremely bright. Just use a gun till you know when it has only 1 bullet in the mag without hearing or seeing it firing (aka, use it alot) and you'll get every attachment and camo. Kinda like the UMP. I went in mw2 some time ago, and took a look at the ump challenges. It was like 400 kills short of finishing the veteran challenge and 10 kills short of getting the fall camo and the vet challenge. I think I got both those 2 for a handful of guns, like most pistols, most mpistols, most shotguns (or all I think), most smgs, the most accurate assault rifles (famas, acr, ak aswell I think) and the Intervention and Barret. Its quite fun to unlock the stuff. Hey! Now I know why BO wasn't a big deal for me. It only costed money to unlock stuff, so you didn't need to grind with it. MW2 on the other hand made me use every gun for its attachments. Cool.
Modern Warfare 2 - Second Sun, best mission for life.
rewriting Hospital Flowers based on that mission D:
Modern Warfare 2 - Second Sun, best mission for life.
I think Whiskey Hotel was pretty cool too, starting out in the bunker with all the injured soldiers and taking back the White House, the music really set the mood, all the destroyed national monuments. I did a little fist pump in my head when that one ended
Aw, no Hans Zimmer for MW3. :( It's actually Brian Tyler, music better be good. :argh: Also, this.

But yeah I am psyched to get this game.
Wait what, you get additional perks if you pre-order from gamestop?
it's the name of the sweepstakes...just think a little before you post. And even if that was a "legit" post the least you could do is actually watch the video...
it's the name of the sweepstakes...just think a little before you post. I'm sorry I didn't get from that video that "perks pack" meant actual real world prizes they call perks :downs:
Woah, they're going back to CoD4 style ACOG Sights it looks like, which is cool since that's how the ACOG Scope works.
Did they give a starting weapon in CoD4s campaign an ACOG, because I only played the campaign for that one, and dont remember if there was one. If not then I'd say it looks pretty good.

I like my local Gamestop guys. They're nice.
Why?
A. Cheap Weapons B. HitBoxes C. The weapon selection
I just said I like something...are you disagreeing with the fact that I like them or that you disagree and think Gamestop guys are douches and not nice?
A. Cheap Weapons B. HitBoxes C. The weapon selection
A. 'Every gun that shoots bullets and kills me is cheap.' B. That's only a major problem on PC. If you're playing on PC, I wonder why, since Black Ops is infamous for performance issues on the PC. C. What do you mean?
