it's a turret that can turn itself to look at you. i plan on using this a lot in the map pack.
it will of course be a bit faster in the final version.

It's not a mod, it's a map pack. So probably not.
Since learning about how to make a mod using Portal 2's Engine I've been taking into consideration a mod that has nothing to do with portal 2 but will actually have GUNS
or something that shoots
Maybe even some melee attacks
Against robots

I don't think you can add weapons of any sort in Portal 2. Just use the old SDK, there's not really much different other than a load of Portal 2 specific entities.

Be VERY careful when using pure black and white textures like that. That can quickly and easily give people headaches.

I wanted to test out vertically-inverted portals. It seemed like a fun way of redirecting objects/players but the gel physics seem to disagree.
What the hell is wrong with the gel?
