Still looking for blind playthrough demos if anyone has 20 mins to spare. (Remember to start a new demo after a load point.)
I could make you one if you want.
Sure. The map has been download over 2000 times but only about 5 people recorded it.
Kinda wish Valve would make the process more automated. If you could flag maps during compile as being intended for playtesting, the game could automatically record and upload it to valve central. They can then do the same stat crunching they do on their own titles and publish the results. Would really help map devs to know where people get stuck, where they die, where they quit, etc.

Well, I started recording a demo, but it ended up just being me getting to the second part of the first map, forgetting the floor had some holes in it, and dying... I forgot to tell it to record again after that, so I'll try again fresh tomorrow.
No worries. ;)
it looks fucking amazing
the only problem i see is, why is there a weathered white panel with drawings on it attached to a working panel arm? o:
From the opposite perspective you'd see it's very broken.
I should say some visuals are still place holder until I finish the gameplay tweaks. I'm intending to redo the visuals on chamber 1 and 3 and remove all the repeated textures. If I get the time anyway...
oh, alright.
i plan on playtesting the map, and maybe putting up a video in a few minutes.
It's quite good. I have a few gripes.
There are a few areas clearly big enough to walk through, but I'm blocked by invisible clips.
There are white looking areas that are not portalable, just confusing.
The second map seems to eat my fps. I have a pretty awesome computer, so this is really very bad.
Thanks for the comments - this is my first proper attempt to make a decent map so I'm learning as I go. For the FPS I'm putting in a half way level change in part 2, so that should help. I will try and optimise further though.
For the invisible clips and unportalable white surfaces, not sure where you mean. There shouldn't be any noticeable but I'll check again. Any places specifically?
Well namely at the first part, where the frankenturret is, you can put him down and get into the crack, but go no further.
Also, where the corridor explodes (very nice by the way), it seems like you could jump down.

This is the first part of my playthrough. It's the one where I was almost at the end, and then died, but it still might be useful. After that, (it didn't get recorded) I just finished it in a minute or so, since I already had it all figured out.
EDIT: Here is the second half. Sorry I took so long, it's just that I got stuck in a few parts.
Not to detract from Jaxe42's map.

Awesome, thanks. Really useful. I didn't have any demos of the later chambers before.
No sticky gel, so I'm making do with what I have.

I spent way too much time doing stupid shit and I probably should have broken them up more, but for what it's worth here's a blind demo.

Hey, thanks. Seems everyone is getting stuck in the same two places so I'm working on making certain bits more obvious. I've also redone chamber 3 for the next version.

Made a small co-op map. If anyone tries it out, please be sure to record a video of it (fraps or a .dem file) and send it to me/upload it to youtube. I find it to be much easier to see how others solve test chambers and work off of that.
After much toiling I got the official SDK to work again. Whoo!
Whipped up this map today. It's not finished, but I like what's done so far. It's part of a 3-chamber long map.

earlier my friend misread a line and said "put the button on the cube."
new testing element achieved.

Mother of god
[editline]10th October 2011[/editline]
reverse EVERYTHING
Make a reverse chamber where you'll have to put the cubes in the cube dispensers to unlock doors.
Like, you enter a solved chamber and you'll have to unsolve it to go to the next chamber.

The simplicity and the lighting are really amazing.
Well done.

NOW
How did I make that yellow thing in skybox, it's used in The Part Where He Kills You, when you're at the funnel when he does the surprise.

Map is almost done. I wanna spruce it up a bit more, and add entrance/exit elevators.
Fix that water.

What's broken, other then the lack of flowmaps? I'll probably just scale the texture way up to make it look slightly less shitty.

So let me guess, you put one hole into the ground, one in the wall and keep building momentum, then one on the tilted surface to propel yourself. Unless, this is a co-op map?

Indeed.

Edit:
Okay, not quite what he said, but it was fun.
What happens if you drop the button in the water?
