your logic makes no sense new players are not allowed to help each other get better?? um ok
Well it's better to get help from someone that knows what they're doing than by someone that sucks.
maybe if you weren't so bad at posting you wouldn't have to clarify LOL
???
Maybe it was poor phrasing. I meant new players are not entitled to recieve help. That sentence says the same thing, but I hope this explanation helps.
05:59 - Σηαλαιυν: so 06:00 - Σηαλαιυν: how do games get players 06:00 - Σηαλαιυν: if new players shouldnt be allowed to play 06:00 - [IHG]Melonmonkey(B): when did i say i cared about that? ohgodhesactuallythatstupid
thats how it was back in wc3 when I first started took forever to finally get in, since you would always get kicked for not having the map :v:
I think melon is trying to say newbies are better off learning from experience. Even if that experience is just getting your shit slapped.
so can we talk about the game yet
New players are not entitled to help. This is a clear phrase.
Wish being a support main didn't feel so cheap. I can play other heroes, sure, but I'm bad at all but support types.
It's funny how everyone has decided to gang up on me, because 3 people so far have abused the quoting system to blatantly lie about me. I didn't know I was so popular.
I would rather read this drama than LoL > DotA shit
Wish being a support main didn't feel so cheap. Stop trying to make this analogy work.

Just ward up every so often, throw down some heals and use my boots when needed and toss my ult out in a team battle, then run for the hills when shit turns sour since people see the pink dude as a walking target.

Carrying doesn't take half the skill.
dRaMa~~!
melonmonkey knew what he was in for as soon as he made that post he is literally everything that is wrong about the DOTA community
Well, this is the reason why I stayed away from playing against people: Negativity is rained upon you if you cannot succeed. As a brand new person to DotA, I would love to learn how to play and become better at certain heroes, or find one I liked. I kept facing bots because at least I could learn the game without being frowned upon because I made a mistake. Yet, I was training for a different type of game. I was learning how to defeat AI, not a human player. So, I found which friends on Steam had DotA and asked them if they could help me out. Murdoco (fellow FP user), while a bit harsh at times since I didn't know the terminology yet and I did not know how to properly build a character's skills, helped out immensely and made it easier to understand the game. However, on my second match alone, being called a feeder and a noob didn't help at all. Sure, my intentions were a bit harmful, but they could have easily said "You probably should hang back". I'm afraid of failure in DotA (unlike say, CS:S or TF2) because there's no positive reinforcement to want me to go back and try again. I do wonder what the tutorials have in store for new players, but at the moment, there's no reason for me to keep trying to play real matches instead of against bots if no one's gonna say, "Hey, you're doing that wrong. Let me tell you what you should do instead that will help you and the team."
melonmonkey knew what he was in for as soon as he made that post he is literally everything that is wrong about the DOTA community
I just find it funny that you found your counterarguement on misinterpretation of simple sentence structure.
you're already treading on thin ice mate don't make it worse for yourself
you're already treading on thin ice mate don't make it worse for yourself
Not intimidated by a guy who doesn't know how to use the word "entitled".
Melon, less of this, mkay?

I'm going to bed now, so behave.
yes i'm totally trying to intimidate you over the internet i'm a big bad cyberbully!
Again the blatant misinterpretation of what I'm saying just to try and be clever. Good job.
no no you misinterpreted MY post you see i was trying to warn you because if you continue on this track you're only going to find yourself banned you see i'm a very GOOD person trying to steer you in the right direction
no no you misinterpreted MY post you see i was trying to warn you because if you continue on this track you're only going to find yourself banned you see i'm a very GOOD person trying to steer you in the right direction
Why would I find myself banned and not you? I made a post about the game, then you started personally attacking me.
you see i'm a very GOOD person trying to steer you in the right direction
I can testify that this is a lie. Even then, why would he be banned for his opinion on new players?
Why would I find myself banned and not you? I made a post about the game, then you started personally attacking me.
yes i especially liked the part when you called me and another fellow forum goer retarded! that was very hurtful please do not do that ever again that was very mean ! i had to contact the forum authorities to handle it
I think Invoker will throw the game, and a bunch of heroes, for a loop as his ultimate depends on whatever incantations he has prepared. He has quite a list and it'd be difficult to know what he's gonna throw at you unless you've memorized that list (Which is something I'd expect from hardcore dota players).
yes i especially liked the part when you called me and another fellow forum goer retarded! that was very hurtful please do not do that ever again that was very mean ! i had to contact the forum authorities to handle it
I didn't call anyone anything. I said that if you weren't deliberaly misinterpreting me like you are doing, you are retarded. I know it's the former.
um sir that counts as flaming! calling somebody a retard is still technically flaming that is a bannable offense!
This is how discussion dies. Not with debate, but with illogical personal attacks.
