Dota 2 - Newbies, read the OP. Veterans, play Anti-Mage. - Games

Welp, I'm done with this game. Realized I can't enjoy it playing with actual people, and mucking around with bots makes me feel like I'm playing a single player game. Guess moba's aren't my kind of game. Oh well!

I Dunno about you guys but whenever I play Dota 2 I always have problems with leavers. I mean, we loose one tower and suddenly it's all like "WE GUN LOSE! QWIT NAO! MUST CONCEED!" And then the fuck off, this happened to us on one such game, They had us on the ropes for the most part afterwards because we were a man down with two gankers and two carries. For the most part it was tit for tat, they had a few more kills that us but the towers were practically the same. In the end they had pushed into our base and taken out two sets barracks before running away / dying. However, The four of us resolved for one last ditch attempt at not dying like bitches. We stormed the middle lane, it left us open and defenceless but we were sure of defeat anyway. We ran in, too out their middle Barracks, destroyed the ancient towers and began wailing on their ancient. At the same time THEY were destroying out last barracks and breaking apart the structures in our base. We were down a man, our base was gone, we had so little time. BUT!!! in their panic when their heard their base was under attack, they must have made a mistake, because mere seconds before our ancient fell, we destroyed theirs. They had two full barracks complete with tower left, a full five man team and more gold than most people know what to do with. Today we are still kicking ourselves that we didn't record it.

I think when the Beta was only pros and casters they tested the XP system.

I had a dream last night that I was playing DOTA 2 with a friend, but, above the Dire's base, there was an entrance to the Discovery One from Space Odyssey, and DOTA 2 became a survival game about running away from HAL trying to kill you. Only one would survive, he told us. Also DOTA became first-person then, we were no longer heroes but ourselves, and we were more or less inserted into the game. I survived pretty long too :v:
