Dota 2 - Newbies, read the OP. Veterans, play Anti-Mage. - Games

I like HoN's concede option. Before 25 mins = 5/5 After is 4/5

Then again, I was just in a game where I picked drow, blue randomed sniper, and teal picked faceless void. Sniper cussed us out for picking carries after he did (and I instapicked drow, by the way.) He then blamed lag as he died 5 times before the 10 minute mark. Void also fed intentionally here and there. Then, in the late game, void used his ulti to trap us in the hands of the enemy. And sniper stood around and gawked and said shit all throughout, calling me a "bad support" and other nonsense. In the end, I was 9k/5d, Void 3k/7d and Sniper 1k/12d. I would have loved to have conceded that game. Oh, and they sent the courier to its death with my 2100 gold orb in it. Took me another 5 minutes to farm my manta from the endless wave of creeps spewing into our base.

I think 4/5 would be good and make it so it can only be at 30 minutes, if it was 5/5 then whoever's trolling can just vote no and continue their shenanigans.

Sounds good. Someone should send this idea to valve.

It's funny that the Drow Ranger looks like a Dungeons and Dragons Drow Elf, but if you read her lore in Dota 2 it says that she's [I]not[/I] a drow, and that Drow attacked her family's caravan but took her in. THOSE Drow are described as being short, trollish and ugly with warts n such, which is why she left, cause she felt she was an outcast with her perfect, non ugly "ugly" face. Just thought it was funny/different, and worth sharing.

Now that everyone has mentioned Faceless Void, can Backtrack also avoid Pure damage? and is Backtrack disabled by Voodoo/Guinso Scythe?

Pure damage can't be reduced. It's passive so it isn't disabled if you get disabled, unless it's Doom (I think? I only say this because it also disables Anti-Mage's passive.).

There are some fucking fantastic ones (Bounty Hunter, Razor, Twin-Head) but Lina's looks God awful. Sad, because I really wanted to see that one look good. Was in the middle of a game, BAM "no steam login", couldn't reconnect. Read some chatrooms and realized everyone else's games randomly quit too. Just had game where our puck fed the enemy pudge 5 kills and he ended up going 22/8. He was a dumbass and tried to 1v3 us though. He said "gg" and quit. Playing movement speed build in pubs is fun, not sure if it's viable in competitive. Especially considering I had a S&Y on Lina after getting storm staff.

Anyways, for Enigma, I was looking at his abilities and noticed his Midnight Pulse does an awesome amount of damage at max lvl, 48% of max health. Since it's magical, does the decrease apply?

It's also very hard to have people stand it in for the whole duration, since it's a relatively small area and cast range. Comboing Black Hole with Midnight Pulse is a good idea, tho if the enemies are fast to react you can't always do Blink -> Midnight Pulse -> Black Hole because of the casting animation taking more time than you want it to.

Hi guys, i tried DOTA 2 today, done some games but there's something that bother me much. I did like 3 or 4 games, and there was some kind of russians ( i guess ) in every single game. Problem is : i can't communicate with them cause they never answer / answer in russian and the only time they try english is for saying things like " noob " or " fuck yu ". What the hell is going on ?

It's pretty much same problem with drivers not driving 100% by the rules and sport fans trashtalking to each other, not deadly (most of the time) but annoying and very hard to fix.
