Anybody else notice how so many of the characters are or were humans that were heroically/tragically transformed? Leshrac was human. Traxex is human. Pugna was human. Roshan was human. Sven is human. Lion was human. Storm Spirit was human. Skeleton King was human. Lich was human. Bloodseeker was/is human. etc etc And not a hint of elves so far. Gondar is obviously some sort of feline race, Rhasta and Batrider probably trolls like Dazzle and Huskar, some diminutive gnomish/dwarven race giving host to Sniper and Clockwerk. But NO elves.

I think Traxex was another race than human. Unless the marks on her face are some sort of paint or so, then yeah.

The only really cut-and-dry standard human heroes are Lina, CM, Windrunner, AM, Chen, Omni, Kunkka, Beastmaster, Mirana, Warlock, DK, and Silencer. What's left in the pool to be added that would probably be human are Rubick, Tresdin, Invoker, and maybe Lanaya/Mortred/Abaddon. A few are a little arguable, but for everything else there's a ton of variety in what kind of colors they have and how they're built. I don't think any of the heroes have a race attributed to them, besides whatever race Sniper/Tinker/Rattletrap are. They don't even have a name for them. They're small like dwarves and gnomes, but have pointy ears like elves! Standard fantasy conventions don't really seem to apply to Dota that much. Anyways, NNNEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
