You have to learn the hook speed and range, it's not a natural feel until you've played with it a bunch. I'm not a very good pudge either, cuz I haven't taken the time to learn the hook.

Dota has been around for years. Icefrog is good enough for Valve to hire him. Do you really think he would keep "bad" heroes in game without at least giving them proper tweaks ?

Hey, would a Bloodseeker/Pudge combo work? I mean Rupture on someone then dragging him with Meat Hook, would he take the damage from the distance he got dragged on by the hook? Just wondering.

Lion and Zeus both have the support opportunity and Razor can carry pretty good. As for Kunkka, you need a brain to use him effectively, or the stuns and ults are too predictable. I want to add on to the list Queen of Pain, overall she is just a poorly made character with her skills.

Quick AoE Magic Burst Mobile Caster with Slow/Dot for Chasing. She seems fine to me, as with any "Burst Magic" hero she has a "cap", so she is neither annoying, because you know what to expect, nor she is too strong, as carries will still outshine her late game.

i dont know much about dota because im new, but i saw the same 10 or 20 heroes are picked or banned in competitive matches, that makes me think melonmonkey is right, the heroes he said are more for pubs or that is what i feel, that doesnt means they are useless but for example, why would you pick Lion if you can pick shadow shaman. again, im new so im probably wrong

Some designs just aren't good like others. And you can't just buff their abilities untill they compete, because a centaur chiefan that would get picked over a windrunner has to be pretty rediculously strong. It's hero design and not balance that makes some heroes useless. Spiritbreaker by design will never be as good as viable heroes like dragon knight or weaver. It's not that he's a BAD sidelaner, it's that there are heroes that do it so much better. CM, shadow shaman, and even AA come to mind.

Some heroes are just better for pub because, let's face it, some heroes are more complicated than others and require proper teamwork to be 100% effective. And there's no such thing as perfect hero design. IceFrog does a pretty damn good job of balancing DOTA 2 and DOTA 2 heroes, but he's never going to create the perfect balance. No one will. But DOTA 2 does a pretty damn good job, since every hero has some sort of proper usage.

He is mostly timing and predicting and his passive is pretty amazing.

Zues on the other hand has a shitty attack animation combined with long cooldown nukes and an ultimate that is only good as an insurance mechanism you won't need when you're with a competent team. And kunkka is shit teir because he's not a reliable hero. That's a major thing pros look for when picking heroes "what can my enemy do to stop me from doing my job?". with kunkka, the answer is lots of things.

Sometimes I wish I could stream my brothers gf playing dota. Shes terrible but the things she says is pretty funny.

i think kunkka is just annoying, and only bots seems to know where and when to use the ulti.
