Is it so hard to google : "Why Russians are bad in dota?"
Here : http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/n8shy/russian_invasion/
Will they do anything about it?

That would be racist, and Valve loves Russians.
Who would like a racist game company anyways?

Well, Blizard did give Russia own servers and monthly subscription for StarCraft II, but that was because of the technical problems. And Valve did already make a regional split (Eastern Europe = 1C company, etc) on Steam.
But that's business stuff. In terms of community I think they will just work hard on report/commend player system.
Let them create some russians servers and we will be fine.
It's funny that the Drow Ranger looks like a Dungeons and Dragons Drow Elf, but if you read her lore in Dota 2 it says that she's not a drow, and that Drow attacked her family's caravan but took her in. THOSE Drow are described as being short, trollish and ugly with warts n such, which is why she left, cause she felt she was an outcast with her perfect, non ugly "ugly" face.
Just thought it was funny/different, and worth sharing.
Yeah, she's definitely human, there doesn't seem to be a formal elf race in Dota 2's universe. However, the ugly drow description, while not adherent to D&D, IS compliant with folklore descriptions of "drow." I believe Germanic in origin.

Bots are probably the best way to get antiquated. That and reading the links in the OP to get a better understanding of the game.

I have read almost all of the links in the OP so I'm not too bad in that area, its mainly working out how to best optimise each characters strengths and weaknesses and not to fall into a gank and feed, Is it needed to be able to play a gank, carry, jungle or support or can you focus on just one type of character? Because I found some characters I can use much better than others. Morphling and enigma are my two favourite so far. Im also falling short on item builds but there are plenty of guides to help with that :>

It's not bad to focus on one type of character, but to focus on one character is bad. You'll never get to play that character at some point so you'll be shit out of luck. It's better to know how to play a broad spectrum of characters.
Also, Morphling is pretty high skill and farm intensive. Engima is great though. He's super easy to jungle with and has one of the best initiation skills in the game.
Im still absolute shite at this game, but I fucking love Tinker.

ANTIQUATED
1
: obsolete <an antiquated calendar>
2
: outmoded or discredited by reason of age : being out of style or fashion <antiquated methods of farming>
3
: advanced in age
I Think the suitable word is
ACCLIMATE
transitive verb
: to adapt to a new temperature, altitude, climate, environment, or situation
or accustom, or any other synonym, antiquate is surely the wrong word to use in this situation.
Finally a new hero with this maintenance ?
I like the ample time they give you to react to servers shutting down.
Also, does anyone else love Rikimaru? Because I do.
Alright, so I got an invite to the beta and I'd like to know a few things. And yes I have read the coming from LoL section.
So if I was to queue or join a game or whatever, would I be matched up with people of any skill level or would it be with new players like me so I can get a feel of whats going on?
Also, any heroes that are easy to play for new players?
Sorry if this is a dumb post or something but I've been kinda clueless on these and I wanna learn how to play.
I think Drow Ranger is a pretty easy/simple hero to start with. Granted, I'm still a beginner as well, but two of her abilities are passive, which takes off some stress I suppose, and they're all pretty straight forward.
Also, play a lot of private matches against bots. I've got ~20 hours logged into the game, and I JUST played my first two matches against other players today. Up until now I've been playing private matches with my friend, against bots, going through every single hero till we found ones we liked.
Watching live matches helps too (at least for me), and a good chunk of those 20 hours is just watching games.
You may be able to get used to a hero on your own, but watching other people lets you pick up new tricks + items.

Try Skeleton King, hes about the easiest of the easy. Only one active ability to focus on, and hes strength. When in doubt, play strength. Your primary stat gives you survivability and damage so there is nothing to juggle and strength heroes are inherently hardy.

Oh and read a guide on any hero you decide to play, thats what I did any time I played a new hero in dota. I used to play -ar so whenever I got a hero I hadn't played before I would tab out and quickly search for a guide that gave a basic item/skill build as well as early/mid/late game strategies

I really want PL added to the game

As of yet, I think you just get match made as quickly as possible. I've seen all types of players in my games.

Eh, the Bloodseeker on both teams was a pain in the rear. But yes, you're right.

You know, with all my Hon experience, I thought it would be easy for me to play Dota and steamroll all the LoL players that I encounter. I didn't' expect that they would all be on my team.
So anyone else having trouble connecting to US servers?
