he's the most difficult hero in dota so learning how to play him will take some time
he's not someone you can just pick up and play immediately (although you can most certainly try but i cannot guarantee that you will do well lmao!)
how to be good at invoker:
spend at least a week in the lab memorizing spell orders and how to use them properly.

I am prepared to lose my winning streak to learn Invoker again.
When I press and hold alt, a beam of light appears on my hero.
What is that?
Profile thing is so sexy.
It appears I've been commended once for everything
No one loves me enough to commend me :(
In a game right now: Spectre just put his 1st point into his Q at level 10. And he's not doing anything in teamfights/2v2s.
Should I be worried.
memorize this chart

def~Blast + meteor is a good initiation
alacrity + cold snap and your forge spirits are good for annoying the living shit out of heroes(its a buff that mini-stuns per hit the hero receives, both magic and physical if i remember right)(Also Alacrity gives you a 70% speed and 80+ damage)
Ice wall + ghost walk are both perfect for escaping (first creates an huge ice wall that slows anyone that runs thru it and ghost walk makes you invisible until you cast a spell or attack)
Sun strike for finishing escaping heroes (It has global casting range, strikes an area after 1 second of targeting it, make sure the hero is alone cuz the damage splits per target AKA if the hero is alone it takes all damage)

I guess if you lose your character, you can find him easily.

it's really fucking annoying, i use alt + qweasd for items so i see it every time.

That image is confusing as fuck. Just go look at Dota 2 wiki for an easy chart.

It was fun learning Invoker again, I used mainly Tornado, Cold Snap, and Ghost Walk.
It's great when ganking to Tornado to give yourself enough time to walk up and invis.

dem l33tpr0-=instalock=- Invokers, maaan
Staying in lane against him was like punching a baby
I know why they aren't releasing Bane:
Because he counters AM of course, and Valve/Icefrog loves AM.

Anyone else get a bug where Dota 2 can't launch?
I verified the game cache, but it didn't fix it.
Goddamn I suck at pudge. Every single time I try the 'ol flesh hook, rot and ulti rape, I end up missing and pulling a teammate or a 5 hp allied/enemy creep. I just suck at predicting and aiming with that thing.
On the plus side, I did manage to find out what a skeleton king, and a heart can do. Mother of god.
(Fun fact : I had no idea that there was a craft system in the game so I always ended up wasting massive amounts of gold instead of just crafting the damn thing :v:)
I love how well Cold Snap and Alacrity synergise together.
Just had my first game as Invoker. I don't get why people make such a big deal about him, he's easy.
End game I was ~9/2/15 at least, I think?
Biggest problem I had was waiting on cooldowns.
The hardest part is learning all of his spells, but I just managed that after my game against bots and a little bit of thinking on the bus. I shudder to consider old Invoker with 27 spells.
Seeing Invoker be compared to Magicka makes me want to try him. All it is is memorizing what combinations give what spells. Trying to dive right in seeing all the info on him made it daunting.
Makes me wish I had Dota 2. Anyone happen to have a spare I could trade for? Just TF2 items and coupons, unfortunately.
He's very Magika. It would surprise me little if it's where they got the idea for the game from.

I didn't even really have much trouble with that. Kept a chart with them open on my right monitor while I played on the left during the first game, although I just had another game where I tried to invoke meteor and got alacrity instead. It worked out though since the entire enemy team left a minute later and I kept using alacrity to push :D
Also Flubascrub building Exort Invoker just because it's fire with only 1 level in Invoke by level 11. :v:
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
I was trying to find out what the rest of his 27 spells were earlier, the most I could find was that one of them was an invis aura.
Not everyone has the luxury of a second monitor. There is a little chart you can pop up by clicking on the question mark above Invoke. But I think I've got them memorised now. Just have to see if I can in a fast paced game!
I'm not finding it that hard to remember the combinations.
But absolutely holy fuck some of his spells are utterly sick.
Tornado, cold snap and the sonic boom are some of the best disables I've seen.
what's got me thinking currently is what to level first etc
Invoker is fun to play, but can be confusing in fights
I just played with bots, got around 11-4-21 something, I'll continue playing with them so I'll know what to do and when to do it
Oh my fuck do not play AA at the moment.
He is bugged so that is ulti can't actually kill heroes, just causes them to be denied.
1/12 AA LET'S GOOO

When i say to my friends that i ONLY played banehallow in dota they laughed at me.
Edit:
First game of dota ever, friend calls me to play it even tho i never played WC3 much, so in selection i click strenght tavern and i'm like well this red guy looks cool. In the start friend told me what to buy and i went top, i died 2 times or so before reaching level 6. The moment i clicked that ultimate those other heroes were dropping like flies. Banehallow is easy but he is one scary motherfucker.
Tornado + EMP is the most annoying thing you can face against. You can't dodge if both are maxed out.
And Tiny is so cute when he gets Aghanim's with no levels in his ulti.
Mid game dota closes, so i restart the game and when i try to rejoin 'YOU MUST BE IN A LOBBY TO RECONNECT'
WHAT THE FUCK and we were 21-5...
