But you wont go into "manual mode." You won't learn the combo combinations at all playing like that. You'll just cripple yourself for whenever you break that mouse from smashing the shit out of it in rage at the goofballs on your team.
Invoker's combo's aren't hard to learn. Go make a -wtf and sit in the woods for 20 minutes or so. Then they aren't a deal.
I said "get familiar". I know invoker spells by heart now, but I am playing vidya for a big part of my life now. If someone is rather fresh and wants to first learn properties of each spell in an actual online game, and then go onto manual, why forbid him such?
And on behalf of TF2 script and macros/scripts being the same deal. You are right. I kind screwed myself over there, because now I remember my own thoughts about it when it was still working. Thing is, I really see this thing as a Manual vs Stick-shift argument.
Invoker combos are not difficult, but it's just Q/W/E x3 + R. It's not even something you think about or have to train to hit properly. Personally, I got the hang of it after a couple of minutes (Magicka might've helped there). You still have to manage Orbs and you still have to know the actual spell + spell comboes. The TF2 script was cheating because it was so much superior to average human gamer firing speed ( can't remember the values, but there should be videos on it at the Tube), in this case it's Action-RTS, not a shooter. Thinking is the hard part, fingers have little room to improve (unless someone is running difficult key mapping).
saying making a script for an auto-firing pistol isn't the same as making a script to auto-invoke invoker's spells is fucking retarded i'm sorry but you are stupid.
Answer against all your posts:
you're still using macro's.
I'm done here lol
Fucking hate balanars on the other team.
So much aggro, jeez guys I was being ironic (in hindsight) :v:

Technically, it's the same thing (automated process for in-game task).
Practically, auto-firing pistol was much faster than even seasoned players slapping LMB as fast as they could. It made an impact mainly because TF2 is FPS game and unloading bullets 1.5 times faster really hurt.
This, again, is Action-RTS. Of course, slapping QQW+R+D into macro makes for awesome instant stealth button and I doubt I would notice wether it was a seasoned invoker or a guy with a script, but I would notice their proficiency with spells they choose and cast over the whole game.

I am not excusing cheating, but I think you guys overestimate usability of macros and scripts for a game like Dota, where reflex does count, but to a lesser extent than in all other Valve games (all of them are FPS).

You know there is a break inbetween casting Invoke and the other spell, so it would make your "macro" completely useless?
That doesn't sound sweet, it sounds retarded because it gives an unfair advantage.

Define this please. Call me names, but I can't seem to preceive such minimal automations as unfair. Slightly advantageous, yes, but nothing experience wouldn't outvalue by a long shot. So what if he can cook up Sonic Wave right after Tornade+EMP, I can so too with maybe 0.5 or max 0.8 second delay.
Clicking buttons isn't hard, some people might like to simplify it further for own use. As long as they don't abuse a system Valve didn't want to be abused, I think it's fine.
Why is his body an Aegis?

The whole point though is human reflex against human reflex.
Scientifically a human cannot work as fast as a machine. A script is going to conjure an ability faster than a human can. Even if it's .5 - .8 second difference, it's not fair and simple seconds can spell life or death in a game like DOTA.

It should be out now. My game isn't updating though
Is orb walking as simple as it sounds?

Apparently they sent out new invites cause I just got in the beta.

It takes a little getting use to, but it's pretty easy.
I just got an email that I got selected to test, how big was this wave of invites?

Most likely it was big, this claim is based on what I have learned to assume at this point.
