I play gondar a lot, and I find that treads isnt the worst boots option tbh, phase is the best, but getting a treads in those games where you need to be versatile really helps

getting pooped on in lane? idk

Haha fucking premades shit talk early game, then we beat them. Feels good man.
Holy shit.
Drow with Venge, Vlad's, Precison and Wolf Auras is rape.

Oh and she got a Daedlus too.
you got manta and agh's on venom hahahahahahahhaahahhaa
Aghanims makes your ult do 1728 damage and lowers the cooldown to 60. When the enemy team commits to a fight, just shadow blade in, pop your ult and you're pretty much guaranteed to win the team fight. The stat boost also helps with your ward spam for warding the jungle and pushing the lanes. Yeah, i don't see the benefit...
Manta is there cuz brood left and i was the only real carry left on the team. Also, the active helped me survive when doom and necro tried to bite my face off in team fights.
You're right, should have gone full support mek, ward bitch venom.
more like you shouldn't have even bothered going with agh's and have gotten push stick and an eul's.
[editline]31st January 2012[/editline]
plus it was more like your invoker was the carry.
more like you shouldn't have even bothered going with agh's and have gotten push stick and an eul's.
Don't you think when i have 20,000g worth of items that i might sold a 2200g item? Also, we had an invoker that had the tornados covered. So no need for an euls.
I really wish Spirit Breaker wasn't such a steaming pile late game.
I like his character design in DOTA 2 and I really enjoy popping Charge of Darkness and screaming "HERE COMES RAPE TRAIN!"
That invoker was more utility than carry.
[editline]30th January 2012[/editline]
You can rate me dumb all you want but it doesn't change the fact that the invoker had a fraction of my damage and my aghanims-improved ult raped them in team fights.
oh man you actually care about ratings lmao
Speaking of builds and all, what's the best for Invoker? I've yet to read the Omnimage guide (been meaning to), so I'm operating off of a suggested build from a friend.
He suggested to start with a full bracer, but I go for the Gauntlets of Strength, Circlet, one Clarity, a TP scroll, and an Iron Branch. I'll get the recipe when I have the gold, and get boots (or drum, I can't remember) next. Once boots are done, go for drum (or vice versa, depending on which is first). Once both are done, he said to build a Force Staff, but I tend to forget to ever use it so I skip it and go for Agh's. Other than its active, is the Force Staff good enough to warrant getting it before Agh's? And, assuming that the game lasts long enough and I get enough farm that I have thousands of gold after getting Agh's, what should I build next? I tend to go for either a BKB or Guinsoo's.
As for abilities, start with Quas to help with farm (extra regen), then Invoke. He said to get Quas to 4 before maxing Wex, but you can't get Quas to 4 without taking a level in Wex or Exort, and then a second in Invoke (if I remember correctly), so I'll tend to have 4 levels of Quas, one in Wex, and two in Invoke, then I max Wex, once Wex is maxed or if I notice I need more regen, I'll take one or two more in Quas. Save Exort until I (think I) need it, or until Quas and Wex are both maxed. Take levels in Exort whenever possible to reduce the cooldown.
i have now officially decided that whoever has sniper on their team

Is it possible to like make the hero face icons show on the minimap instead of the colored dots by default, instead of holding alt to get them to show?

If you are doing the recommended build then yes, he is a steaming pile.
Get a Armlet, BKB, AC/Heart and become the rape train.

See, everyone says "wex is best" which is good for a cast heavy / support invoker.
But something I've found works very well is if you ignore Wex completely and level up exort and quas, pushing exort first.
Why you ask?
The two skills i main are forge spirits and cold snap.
Cold snap is possibly one of the best stuns you can get if you use it right. At max level you can potentially disable an enemy for six seconds, which is longer than any other stun in game, but you do need to time it just right.
Forge spirits really comes into play early mid game where you'd have quas and exort at level four each. You summon two spirits and each do 56 damage per shot. They also reduce the targets armour up to a maximum of 10.
couple this with having three instances of exort, which at that level will net you about 100 damage a shot and couple that with cold snap.
The DPS you get is really insane but alone you won't do enough damage to outright kill an enemy before they run away.
In a teamfight however, DPS invoker is something to be feared, Unloading high amounts of damage into a target while keeping them disabled. The forge spirits armour reduction also means team-mates damage will be insane. Pair up with a carry and by late game you will have farmed him into a nigh unstoppable dreadnought of doom, death and destruction.
For items on this build, I like to take bloodstone, the buffed HP and Mana regen is always useful, and as DPS invokr you are likley to be in the thick of battle. Bloodstone mitigated the issues with dying quite nicely. Allowing you to save your gold instead of buying back and using it to get much cooler items.
A favourite item of mine (albeit mostly useless) is the Necronomicon. Becuase at level three it grants true sight and if enemies try to kill the little necro guys they are hit with about 500 damage thanks to a nifty little effect.(But I only buy this when I have more gold than sense)

Yeah, Cold Snap is one of my favorite spells of Invoker's. I'll use it any time I need to catch up on an enemy, or early game pushes or ganks. It's amazing how powerful it is. In the game I played with Reimu, I laned with Doombriner against Pudge and Bloodseeker. Either of us would call out which one we wanted to hit, and I'd pop Cold Snap on them and get as much stun out of it as we could. If nothing else, we pushed them out of lane for a while.
It's also extremely useful chasing. 3 levels of wex, phase boots as often as possible, pop off a Cold Snap, and auto attack as much as you can. Tends to kill people when they try running, especially towards the end of team fights.
I tend to keep Tornado and EMP queued up, though. It's amazing leading in with it, and there are times I'll be initiator for a team fight. Tornado, EMP, then everyone else gets their stuns off as I queue up other spells and auto attack.

That feel, when you're winning but one of your guys dies twice and leaves. Opening the door for a steamroll.
We could have won....

There's some things you don't really explain well. You didn't mention there is a set of barracks per lane, the way you put it sounds like there is just 1 set of barracks in the entire base. Also the starting gold bit is confusing, "4265 Gold as starting gold and splits into number of players in the team", So on a 5 man team everyone get 853 gold? I'm guess "used to pick a hero" means that picking a hero costs 250 gold, which leaves non-randomers with 603 gold? I don't think most new players think of it that way, they think of it as randoming gives you extra gold, you could probably explain this better or maybe give an example. There's also some grammar mistakes, I think a lot of the graphic you were trying too hard to simplify the subject, some things just need a few more words e.g. "When an enemy unit dies, experience are given to all heroes nearby" should be "When an enemy unit dies, experience is split between all heroes nearby". You didn't explain what the different damage types do.
Why does Clinkz have things like Skadi in his suggested items ? I guess you could alternate between flaming arrows and Skadi (Arrow, Skadi, Arrow, Skadi), but does it work actually ? How long does Skadi slow last anyway ?
Also, on Ursa Daedalus doesn't work well with Overpower, what's the deal with "Crits", they are not orbs/unique attack modifiers, but I hear they replace some effects if they happen.

Love it how we have almost exatly the same builds.
(I get bloodstone instead of another bracer, but I think you didn't have time to buy it I guess.)
