Sounds like it was the distance or the ringout sound.
Perhaps he's using a different kind of bolt rounds.
Isnt there one that does less sound?
Very well, how hard do you think it would be to paint imperial guard fatigues in a manner similar to German flecktarn camouflage?
Examples:

I hope this tutorial helps.
At least the bolter's in-game don't sound at all like that video.
Yea, that bolter sounded terrible.
Actually, it doesn't, given that the camera (and therefore the sound) is focused on the guy shooting, not where the rounds hit or inbetween. Bolt rounds shouldn't be all that loud when fired, as only a small charge is used to get them to clear the barrel, it's beyond that where the rocket motor on the round kicks in and sends it speeding on its merry way.

This song brings great thoughts of first Imperial Titan.

But I thought bolters used some sort of magnetic system to shoot the bolt out of the barrel.
Also how loud the rocket thruster of bolter is?
wut
it uses a small conventional charge (like a grenade launcher) to push it out the barrel
Bolt Rounds also shouldn't produce cases, as it uses a solid propellant to fire it out of the bolter. But people tend to make artwork of bolt rounds with cases for some reason. Cases are (in images etc etc) just there for the rule of cool.

1. Solid Propellant that gets it clear of the barrel.
2. Main Casing (that goes with the bolt round when it is fired)
3. Stabilising Fins
4 Mass reactive delayed fuse
5 Diamantine Tip
6 Main Propellant (which makes the bolter round go)
7 Main explosive (Deuterium) charge set off by the Fuse when it hits something.

It's an ejecting, throwing weapon for when they run out of ammo.
Nvm just saw the bigass "fanfiction" in there
Silly me
That picture of the Bolt Round is incorrect, entirely.
He's pretty much just making shit up.
So if bolts have no shell casing then what the fuck is that thing on the side of the bolter?
Access incase a bolt gets stuck/jams/doesn't fire?
So what co-op is releasing with Space Marine and what's DLC? Is it campaign with and a last stand mode later?

I don't think they've said anything besides "it will have coop." They haven't said when (launch or post) or if it will be free. They've literally only said it will have coop.
We need more fanart of Dreadnaughts/Spacemarines slaughtering shit.
Hi guys. I'm trying to get into 40k lore and all that.
I bought DoW2 a while back but my comp crashed and I'm unable to play it now on my current laptop.. I plan on buying the original Dawn of War (which should run okay) but just thought I'd ask if there's anything I need to know about it before I pay 19.99.
Thanks
If you really want to get to know the lore well, buy some of the books. May I recommend the Horus Hersy series?

Yeah, to start you can just read 1, 2, 3. No need to read them all (I've heard they get progressively worse anyways)

DoW 1 is a great game, not sure if the player base is still strong though. The campaign can keep you occupied for days, weeks with the expansions. The campaign can get kind of frustrating on harder difficulties too.
Not saying you shouldn't get DoW1. Just, if you are doing it for the lore, get the books.

Alright cool.

I'm playing Retribution again as Chaos after finishing it as the Space Marines and...
All the levels are the same? I've about 4 levels in and its all the same.
Please tell me theres some deviation in it? Else I might just not bother doing any of the other campaigns.
Every Retribution level is the same, the only difference is your army of choice and differing dialogue.
KAOHS LAWD

It took me over an hour to do the gun by itself, please don't tell me it's bad :ohdear:
Dude, that's incredible

The tyranids have the same levels, but different storytelling and there's that one level on that derelict ship that you won't get to play, but instead go to the secondary mission for it directly.
