has that been actually confirmed? i know we've seen them in the videos but no proof that there's players controlling them
What would a WH40k MMO be if there were no controllable IG in it?
Anyway, i'm not sure they've confirmed it, but according to TheHypnotoad, it's been confirmed.
I think it's pretty clear.
Tactical Marines/Chaos Marines are pretty much fucked 1v1 against a Raptor/Assault Marine.
Unless they have another teammate to help them out.
Meltaguns. Unless the raptor/assult can get a full combo on the tactical without getting into their aim, yep, they're pretty much fuckes.
Devastator look fun as fuck

Are you sure that a meltagun would be able to take out a Raptor/Assault Marine in close range so easily?
On the subject of melta guns, how are they supposed to fire according to fluff, it's meant to be a blast of like super hot plasma or something yeah?
Because kill team seems to have gotten melta guns and turned them into a ghost buster weapon...
see this for what they've done...

Despite the deviations form fluff, I'd reckon so. Meltaguns are used for slagging tanks and bunkers, and there are several accounts of a certain jurgen taking out choas marines with his trusty melta!
I'd think it would be a very short range high damage weapon, suitable for taking out people trying to close with you.

No no, it's a power hairdrier, hear the sound it makes.
Also I always imagined it as shotting a line of super-hot gas stream that SHOULDNT GET THAT RANGE as in Killteam, more like on Downs of Wargh

On 0:42, watch as the tactical with melta gun go "hey fuck your herseys" and blow a hole into the chaos marine.
The multiplayers will pretty much resume on a paper rock scissor kinda game
Assaults beats Devastators
Tacticals beats Assaults
Devastators beats Tacticals
Melta beat us all

Inquisitor lord using terminator armor with a jump pack?
I'm trying to paint a Dark Angels successor chapter. Right now, I'm aiming at a darker shade of green, and I have the perfect color to use. However, since it is not actually a GW paint, the texture is very odd, and I'd like to try and find some type of way to get the physical smoothness of Dark Angels Green while having a darker swampier color.
The paints I'm using are Vajello Game Color Scaly Green, and I have a bottle of Jade Green for drybrushing.
Try watering it down?
oh wait that was a chaos blowing a hole in a marine's face, nvm.
Having free customization on colors will sure make multiplayer fucking confusing

Space marines coloured Chaos black...
Which side are we on again?
Hopefully you'll be able to distinguish between Chaos and SM regardless of colour, or each team will have their own pallette, but that'd be ridiculous.
Just have Marine boyz and spikey boyz.
Can't tell the difference? add more spikes.
Chaos will have spikes
[editline]15th August 2011[/editline]
fucking spikesmind
chaos orks dont exist cause the first and only attempt had so much dakka and so much spikes the mass of the subject was so big it collapsed into a black hole or the mini price was so fucking expensive even GW was scared
Try watering it down?
I think I'll use Dark Angels green, water down the darker paint and apply that, then drybrush with the lighter paint.

No, it's because orks find chaos incredibly unnatural in the worst way. They don't fear them buuuut...
Read the Ork Codex sometime.

No shit, if you watch the videos take note that friendlies have a yellow triangle above their head and enemies don't.

Orkhide Shade is a good dark green, or knarloc green with a few washes.

Personally i've allways imagined meltas like they are in dawn of war mods (fok, lotw, steel legion etc). Basically firing a "stream of lava" i mean it doesn't look like lava that much or behave like it but still.
One thing I think is really neat about retirbution (or DOW2 in general) is the amount of dialogue the different races have of each other. Still can't get over the dissapointing campaign though.
ARE YOU SCARED CADIAN?
Also I'd probably like to get into the whole making models and all that, just as a hobby, not really that interested in playing the game, trouble is it seems pretty expensive to me.

My rulebook says it's like a Heat-Ray. it fires a singular directed beam of heat.

A Meltagun is an indeterminate anti vehicle weapon that fires super heated something that is never quite mentioned.
For the purposes of kill team they made it rapid fire to fit with the fast paced top down shooter theme and it pretty much varies from place to place, GW will probably chalk it up to different patterns much like lasguns.

The best one is when you have the space marine force commander attack the farseer.
He literally says "FARSHEEER LETS DOOO EEET!" In the most perverted way a space marine could.
Inquisitor lord using terminator armor with a jump pack?
There is power armour for normal humans which may not be as big as space marine armour but it can include built in power fists, heavy bolter's and enough augmented strength to pick up a tanker truck and throw it. (according to the Ciaphus Cain books anyway.)
Ere, dem chaos boyz sure do like putting spikes on dere gear
BACK UP LIVELY
I'm pretty sure the Melta would work somewhat like a heat-shotgun
isn't it almost like a microwave gun pretty much?

''Melta weapons work by super-agitating the air around it's barrel at a sub-atomic level that it heats up to the point where it's hot enough to melt anything (From power-armor to super-heavy tank armor) and shot out.''
That's what 1d4chan says about how they function.
Orkhide Shade is a good dark green, or knarloc green with a few washes.
I used Orkhide Shade as my primary color, but it was really too much of an army green for my tastes. I've since stopped using it.
How's your arm, Boba_Fett?
You're back to painting again?
How about the body being white and the pauldrons being trimmed in red, blue center with a red stylized fist
I actually drew this idea a few years ago.
White main body with red trims. With the markings varying in color (blue for blue members n such). Never developed the idea.
I still have the picture on one of my old external hard drives that are packed away in a mountain of boxes.

Pretty awesome models there, badass marine at the bottom with a plasma pistol and a storm shield, it is a storm shield, right?
Though, i have one question, why paint the bolters/bolt pistol/plasma pistol red?
