Bolt Weapon casings generally end up being painted either red, black or the main chapter colour.
Dark Millenium is going to have Imperial Guard as a race, so we'll definitely see some third person shooters/first person shooters involving Imperial Guard.
Eh I dunno. They say Guard and show them, but they're really static (just behind sandbags not moving the entire time)
So, when it comes to applying this mud wash, there shouldn't be much paint at all on the brush, correct? i don't want to ruin what I've got so far... and then just go back over it again with a thin coat of my skin color? it just seems like it might be so easy to ruin the model...
if by paint you mean the actual wash, you can load a bit of it onto your brush, so that you get good coverage and then wipe your brush dry and lightly place it against where it pools that you don't want it to, your brush will then suck the wash up. It's not thick like paint. And if you use the wash appropriateto the colour, the effect isn't super startling or jarring. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0DhdRPzv1M
I've always fantasized about creating huuuuuuuge city siege battle with 40k tabletop props & models & shit, but it will fail always to two facts, it takes fuck load o' money and I am POOR painter. Propably the first cuts my dreams apart.
Have you watched some of the miniwargaming 40K Apocalypse battles? Those are amazing.
Are you sure that a meltagun would be able to take out a Raptor/Assault Marine in close range so easily?
A gun that has a tendency to punch trough tank armour like a fiery red knife trough butter? Yes, I think meltaguns are fluffwise one of the most destructive killers in close range.
Yeah, a melta would definitely destroy a Space Marine. If he's lucky he might survive with most of his body a charred mess.
meltaguns are good for cooking marshmellows for smores
OI what's wid all da talkin about Me- me- MEAL DA GUNZ? WE'RE SUUPOWSED A BE IN BLOODY WAAAAGH HERE
Space Marine gets a demo on the 23/24th, unless you preordered on steam then you get it on the 18th.
Space Marine gets a demo on the 23/24th, unless you preordered on steam then you get it on the 18th.
Awesome, did'n't know that.
Space Marine gets a demo on the 23/24th, unless you preordered on steam then you get it on the 18th.
Oh well. That's fucking awesome.
I hate how Daemonettes have claws now and are completely ugly.
Space Marine gets a demo on the 23/24th, unless you preordered on steam then you get it on the 18th.
Sweet! Good thing i pre-ordered it, though, isn't it a bit unfair to other people for those who pre-ordered it to get a demo sooner?
Have you watched some of the miniwargaming 40K Apocalypse battles? Those are amazing.
I have not seen any of those. Also if I would/could/should "build" that epic battlefield what I've always envisioned, it would be either static all around or hardly playable. By static I mean any Guardsman/Krieg/Space Marine/Heretic/CSM/Daemon/Ork/Eldar/Dark Eldar/Zombie you could see in it would have been fixed into their places and they would not have those circle thingys under their feet/irontreads.
Necromunda
Uuh never heard of that. Does it include massive battleground and lots of lots of and again lots of units that are well paint etc? EDIT: Googled it and loved it.
Ugh. I'll probably have to torrent the demo or something. I got it from a cheaper site.
Ugh. I'll probably have to torrent the demo or something. I got it from a cheaper site.
Me too :C
If you're signed up on the Honour Guard thing on the space marine website you can get the demo a day earlier, I know it's only 24 hours but it's better than the demo being preorder only.
Isn't it only possible to sign up on the Honor Guard loyalty program through GamesCon 2011 or through some other cons?
Well I added the Space Marine group on facebook then clicked honour guard and did it all that way but if you go on www.spacemarine.com there's links to the honour guard in the top links.
Should have guessed, Americans get it earlier than rest of the world, again :( The game I mean. [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] Also, is there mod for Retribution that keeps the corpes? TheDeadStay mod ain't updating anymore. [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] wtf mah automerge
Also, is there mod for Retribution that keeps the corpes? TheDeadStay mod ain't updating anymore.
I don't know about that, but there is a mod which remodels most IG units in Retribution to a Death Korps of Krieg style, in case you're interested.
Theres something epic about deserted battlefields. Now if only I still had my DC disc.
I don't know about that, but there is a mod which remodels most IG units in Retribution to a Death Korps of Krieg style, in case you're interested.
he meant to say corpses as in persistent dead bodies. Wow I played Retribution for the first time yesterday (having recently completed Chaos Rising) and it's a bit disappointing. Why the hell are chaos space marines the size of common IG troopers now? [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] It also feels a lot less fun than DoW 2 or CR, as grindy as they could get.
