Hey, what Ork clan is attacking in the Space Marine demo/game? I saw yellow on some I thought it could be Bad Moons but I couldn't find a symbol to make sure, plus my 40k knowledge is limited.

Paint looks silly because its assembled from cannabilized pieces of this old Russian wargame that collapsed. So its WIP. Repost from IGMT.

Some others seem to be the same VAs from DoW (and thus hilariously great). One sounds like it would be better for a space marine :/ Also the slowdowns don't really take away from the game at all. I seem to remember someone was complaining about it a few weeks ago. When playing it actually really fits and gives you a second to think

So what should I get? I can only really get one of them probably. Any defining reasons for one of the other? DoW 2 Gold (DoW + Chaos Rising) 15$ or Retribution Wargear Bundle 13$ I'm new to the DoW series besides reading some stuff on /tg/.

Yea i heard the campaigns are great but can the CR Last Stand play with people that have Ret?

Also, Retribution is basically what DOW 2 should of been when it first released. Also, you get to play different races which is good because being new you will most likely want to play around and find the one you like the best.

Will playing Retribution before the other 2 break anything story wise? Or are they separate?

If you play Chaos Rising it does set the story up better. The Retribution campaign is best played from the Impy Goo, Orks or Space Marines.

I just played the first mission from the demo, i haven't played the jump pack mission yet. One thing's for sure, this game is going to be so fucking awesome.

Well I guess I'll get Ret and play Last Stand until I can get the other DoW's during the next Christmas sale maybe. It works out I guess since with school now I can just play a Last Stand or two instead of trying playing the campaign all broken up. Thanks guys.

God damn it, I want Retribution. I'd enjoy Chaos Rising, more, bu it keeps crashing me.

Well even though the demo was kind of short, it felt great and I do not regret prepurchasing the game at all. Now I just need to wait for the game to come out for delicious multiplayer

But it's still going to be freaking awesome, I'm so glad we have a modern 40k game now that isn't an RTS. Also hopefully it will do well and we'll get a sequel / expansion. Oh also coop after release!

Dammit, I just realised that making a flamboyant, all pink and purple marine is only going to make them look like a follower of Slaneesh. Stupid Grimdark, not even letting me have a gay marine without it being normal.

So what's worth buying in the DoW 1 series? I thought I heard something about one of the expansions being rubbish.

Anyone else getting random sound stuttering issues while playing the demo? Also how do you take down Nobz without being raped, I just had to run and shoot at them instead of attempting melee and then I had to change the difficultly level because I just find you take damage too fast and easily. At first it feels like a cluster fuck but then it kind of smooths out a little and you get used to it. Also how to I set off grenades from the launcher, I discovered firing nades at a Nob that is running at you isn't a good idea.

So with the Steam preorder, is the Bloodraven Pack just new skins? Because I'm not paying 20 more dollars for skins.
