I was gifted Space Marine but I can't access the demo?

Have you restarted steam? The demo should just appear in your games list

Nobs you should really stay away from unless you have the uber melee mode. Use the explosive gun grenade launcher thing you have to damage them alot at a distance (hit R to blow them up fyi, note that they can explode in mid air so wait until you KNOW they are on the nob). Once they get low health you can QTE them for a big health boost (it's just slamming M1 as fast as you can). Also I found while fighting nobs its best to hit them three times then stun (F). This will cause and AoE stun that will stun the other orks that are trying to melee you and lets you concentrate on the nob. They're pains.

I just used the sniper rifle on the Nobs. It only took around 6-7 shots to kill them. Not sure if headshotting made a difference but my final shot always was a headshot.
Anyway to equip helmets ingame?
Going to go and buy me an assault on black reach today.
Probably someone will find a way to add custom emblems. Not sure how consoles work but probably PC guys will figure it out first.

I've seen Ork warbands that make more sense than that guy.
Though, to be fair, he does kinda have a point, but on the flipside, they aren't copying it just out of lazyness, but because the play style and mechanics A. Fit a Space Marine game and B. were pretty much invented from 40k, albeit from the background lore.

In regards to the lasgun discussion on the previous page, Abnett says that the colour of the beam is to do with where the guns were made and the power setting . Eg, ghosts have light blue to white, blood pact's are red to orange.

Anyway, if you have pre-ordered it you should do what thrawn2787 said, restart steam.

In that case, you should just play the campaign (rather good campaign might i add.) and then get Chaos Rising and DoW2: Retribution if you liked DoW2.
Not a lot of people play multiplayer in DoW2 and Chaos rising, but on Retribution a lot of people play multiplayer.
If you're playing Campaign, you'll only ever have 4 squads to command except on special occasions, this makes it a lot easier to micromanage special abilities and cover.
Right click, hold and drag to get a squad to stand on the right side of a piece of cover.
Apparently, Vanilla Ice (Force Commander) is really good if you spec him for heavy weapons.
I always to use melee commander as a tank. Never terminator armor though, it always seemed to suck.
Also, when you get the dreadnought only spec it for ranged combat and use the assault cannon. The ability where it sprays an area with bullets is incredibly deadly, and can kill lesser bosses in one sweep if you aim it right.

Damn. Can't you just pre-order, and then cancel your pre-order later? I'm buying it from another place.
Holy shit just played the demo, the degree of control you have with the jetpack is sick, and the instant change from ranged to melee is great.
The bad part is, this hasn't made the choice of Space Marine or Battlefield 3 any easier.
