Looks like we aren't seeing DoW3 at Gamescom.
ASSBALLS. i was so excited :[
Got a source at all?
DoW2 forum. http://community.dawnofwar2.com/forums/topic/53069
Does anyone else get an annoying problem with Dawn of War, that it crashes when alt-tabbing?
Cant play the demo because Space Marine still isnt on the fucking UK store.

To be honest I don't mind the orks voices in Space Marine. Perhaps they're saving the more 'Orky' voices for the bigger orks.
But wait there's more
I love how the CSM are going to probably be the most challenging enemy, seeing as how they also shoot.
They used footage from the first trailer, that's a suprise. Also the music and cutscenes used in those trailers are AWESOME. Although why does the "our enemies" one have a Blight drone and iron warriors?
I love how the CSM are going to probably be the most challenging enemy, seeing as how they also shoot.
Orks can shoot too. But yes, they will most likely be challenging, maybe the Bloodletters will be twice as hard to kill than a Nob.
I always to use melee commander as a tank. Never terminator armor though, it always seemed to suck. Also, when you get the dreadnought only spec it for ranged combat and use the assault cannon. The ability where it sprays an area with bullets is incredibly deadly, and can kill lesser bosses in one sweep if you aim it right.
I used the FC as a melee DPS, used Tarkus as fodder (and anti-tank), Cyrus as a way to soften up fights before they happened, the Dreadnought as a tank, and as you can guess Avitus as his intended role. Avitus was my favourite because he absolutely smashes anything in his line of fire. I hated Thaddeus because him and his squad never last long enough to do anything useful, and the FC filled the damage role. I'd send Cyrus in first to chuck grenades and kill the hardest enemies, charge in the FC, move in Avitus and then used Tarkus with a rocket launcher to get rid of anything that fights back hard. I liked Tarkus in Termie armour because it meant that it got rid of those useless bolters that have a tendency to completely miss everything, and gave them Storm Bolters. To top it off, they had the fists, so no melee units could pull a smug one and lock them up. (I did have the veterans upgrade but still they were a bit meh).
Orks can shoot too.
Orks don't shoot. They materialize wounds with a visual cue and horrible accuracy.
To be honest I don't mind the orks voices in Space Marine. Perhaps they're saving the more 'Orky' voices for the bigger orks.
Except Orks have been consistently described as, well, gutteral and Orky sounding, whehther just one of the boyz or a Warboss.

The Warband attacking Graia is dubbed, "The Chosen of Nemeroth"
Chaos Drones are enemies in the game. I'm not sure why an Iron Warrior was in there. The Warband attacking Graia is dubbed, "The Chosen of Nemeroth"
So there's Iron warriors with Khorne and Nurgle daemons?
The writer of this article must be executed for heresy. http://venturebeat.com/2011/05/25/how-many-ways-can-thqs-space-marine-game-rip-off-gears-of-war/
No heresy just massive dumbfuckery
Soulstorm was okay, personally I enjoyed it quite a lot. Get it if you like WH40K, otherwise skip it.
Except it's buggy even post patches, the voice acting for the new races is goddawfull, Sob textures have messed up mipmapping and overal errors in the texture work. Is imbalanced to unbelievable levels and ads a unit type that looks completely out of place in the game with the exception of the typhoon. I love sobs, but soulstorm should be a pass imho for most. EDIT And it seems I'm about two days late or so :(

(We usually play random) [editline]20th August 2011[/editline] Also which unit looks to you, out-of-place?
I wish the Retribution campaign wasn't so god damn pathetic compared to that of the two previous ones. Their decision to let you play as all races ultimately resulted in a much, much less deep and thrilling experience.
dammit warhammer stop being at the bottom of my steam list. i didnt even notice the demo till now

Aircraft should have stayed as callins, sending a run and then running off. The typhon is relatively fine because it's just a landspeeder on steroids.
They said they had SOMETHING to announce. When does Gamescom end? We were SUPPOSED to see more DMO
From what I've heard on relicnews, they won't be announcing anything at gamescon.
Doesn't mean we won't be hearing from Vigil about DMO.
Space Marine looks absolutely amazing. September cannot get here soon enough.
\
Why do I feel like the music from the last one isn't original? Still awesome though
what was that site for cheap steam keys?
Space Marine looks absolutely amazing. September cannot get here soon enough.
It's a shame that it's non-cannon, since Titus is commanding the 2nd Company, and it takes place in early M42. Personally, I like Titus more than Cato. He's much less of a snobby douchebag hothead. [editline]19th August 2011[/editline]
what was that site for cheap steam keys?
http://www.ultimatumgamekeys.com/ It's under maintenance at the moment.
I kinda wish we had a general model forums or something. I have some new flames of war stuff but I'm wondering what I should really get before I get way into the game.
My only gripe is the fact that three space marines will be taking on likely dozens of Chaos Marines at a time with some ease despite these Chaos guys being veterans of thousands of years of war, each Chaos Marine is almost a lord in his own right. But then again I guess the game isn't going to be super fluffy.

I had always assumed that, marine for marine, an individual SM was a better combatant than a CSM, and that the CSM's used larger forces to overcome this.
