Sorry it's so large D:
Beakie armor best armor
Just played the Space Marine demo.
Sadly, my lack of funding from buying Deus Ex has precluded getting it. But it's on my Christmas list. Seriously, the game is fantastic. Exactly how I pictured it.
It's been a long, long time since I played Fire Warrior, but I don't remember it being that made. Maybe it's because I liked the story. [sp]The idea of a single Fire Warrior being enough of a badass to take down a Chaos Lord/Demon is pretty cool.[/sp] :v:

[sp] I heard it was because of that Fire Warrior being possesed by a Khorne demon [/sp]

It needs to be larger so I can read that small print easier.
Also, I hate the chapters with the 50/50 paint job. Looks bad in my opinion.

What's so good about the beakie armor?
I mean, sure, the helmet is badass, in my opinion, but when it comes to actually defending you from say, a bolter, wouldn't some newer type of armor do much better?
Does anyone else love reading those silly short stories on 1d4chan? Stuff like CREEEEEEED and 'Kharne is a pretty cool guy'.

It's because it apparently makes Space Marines look more closely to medieval knights

Sons of Malice look badass with the 50/50 paint job:

I mean who can find Malice not totally freaking awesome.
Hmm, can i renew my Citadel paints somehow by adding some water or sth? Would it be safe?
Deends just how dried out they are.

Iron Armour looks much more Knightly.
Stolen from the LMAO pics thread:

Actually a beakie helmet would probably deflect rounds way better, but it's the helmets I like not the armor itself. Obviously modern armor is mostly superior, heresy era shit was literally shit.
You do realise thatthe latest power armour (Mk7 Aquilia) was also developed during the Heresy.
Heresy Era Armour (MK5)was a stopgap method to be able to continue fighting despite dwindling supplies.

Where did you get that idea from? I thought that wasn't possible or atleast highly unlikely.

Well, i saw it while browsing /tg/, so i don't have direct source, but apparently GW said so to make the game kinda possible in terms of fluff
Tau have practically zero Warp Presence, bnesides, firewarrior was fucking fucking fucking terrible
Tau have practically zero Warp Presence, bnesides, firewarrior was fucking fucking fucking terrible
But it did have one of the most accurate bolters in games
Doesn't excuse it from being so fucking awful it should have been killed with fire, repeatedly.

Like all the Tau :v:

I didn't find it bad. Why do so many people hate it?

Don't watch the video if you haven't played DoW2: Chaos Rising.
[sp]So, the way Ulkair was summoned in that video might just be another fluff butchering from the DoW series, but i have a question, is a Plague Marine actually needed to summon a Greater Daemon of Nurgle?[/sp]

Absoloute Fluff Rape.

A MKVI Corvus helmet has some small advantages over the MKVII Aquila helmet, although it also has some weaknesses. I'm not aware of most of them, but I know that if a marine wearing a Corvus helmet gets shot through an eyepiece, the helmet will direct more power to his other eye to compensate, whereas the more modern Aquila helmet does not.
Thats the first time I've heard that...
