Can someone tell me how to paint my Tau...I wanted them either Chaos Black Armour and Enchanted Blue cloth, or Enchanted Blue armour and Chaos Black Cloth. As i was never good at painting, all i did was basecoat Black then paint the blue and that was about it. Any way i could make it look better?
Highlight the armor with Ice Blue, then pick out the Fire Caste symbol like so:
Then run watered-down Chaos Black over the armor to pick out the panel lines.
Next, grab a pot of Adeptus Battlegrey and drybrush over the cloth.
Lenses: What you'll want to do is paint the lens a nase color (usually the darkest hue of a certain color type), then slowly build up lighter colors in one of the lower corners (I do the lower right hand). Then, take a tiny brush and paint a dot of Skull White in the above-opposite corner.
Finally, run the entire thing over with Devlan Mud.
How to paint 40K models.
Step one, gently ap0ply a layer of black paint to the models.
Step two. Apply the "Base" colour for your model.
Step 3: After slipping a few times and getting paint in the wrong places apply the highlights.
Step 4: After cocking up the highlights leaving you with a right blue streak down the units left arm, Try to apply the finer details.
Step five: Either A: Throw you models into the nearest bucket of paint and shout done! B: Snap your paintbrush in fury or C: Bust open your wallet, cos you're out of paint broski!
My Tyranids in DoW2 were a combination of pink and purple. My motto was "Fear the pink 'nids."
Didn't want to do this for my TT nids for obvious reasons, so instead I painted them green and red. As such, I say they are part of "Hive Fleet Kringle".
am I the only one here who paints his army sensibly

No, I try to paint it nicely too.
Oh god fuck stripping models. If I had the money I'd just melt these down into a Titan and buy new ones.
I'm trying to make Timmy Marines which basically are handicapped marines in wheelchairs.
I'm counting them as heavy assault so I'm gonna strap cannons and shit to their wheelchairs.

Brilliant.
I'm unsure if I should go Evil Sunz or Bad Moons for my Orks. I do love the speed and red, but I think I prefer massive dakka.
I would go with more daka.
Never enough daka.
evil moons
strap dakka to your bikes
Oh and fucking painting models makes me rage harder than Ninja Gaiden Black.
You have applied all layers and are adding the finishing touches to the inner arm, when out of fucking nowhere the paint brush savagely assaults the model's chest fucking up the details you worked so hard on.

Go Kustom and make your own army.

What about the helments a small gun on one trigered by the orks blinking.

I'm glad I go with basic colors.
Thing is, a lot of my models are unpainted because I can't work up the nerve to paint them. Too scared I'll fuck things up.

Wartrukk with 30 bigshootas on the back in circles inside eachother. Now that's Orky.
Manticore is great. Real pain in the arse when you use a swarmy army like nids and orks.
I killed 2 tact squads with one barrage
Holy shit. Usually manticores don't do shit to SMs.
Then again nothing really does a lot to SMs. Such as Let the Galaxy Burn, which annihilates guardsmen, hormas/termas, shootas/sluggas, and just about everything else, and only tickles the tacs.
I wish they'd make a game in which you played as the Orks and got to design your own vehicles and weapons with an editor (with an editor like in Robot Arena 2, just a bit more complex and advanced). Half the fun of the Orks is their scrapyard weapons and weird shit, would be awesome if we could make our own (doesn't have to be a perfect physical simulation obviously since we don't have super computers to calculate it all, but RA2 did it with a low budget and a long time ago).
Level 1 or 2 Manticore killed their metal box in like 2 hits
It was funny
I love how the chaos lord can take on everything once he gets lightning claws, armor of the inferno and icon of khorne.
Guardsmen and any other squishy squads, in addition to heavy melee squads won't stand a chance.
Yeah, tanky melee commanders are a real pain in the ass for me, especially the Chaos Lord and the Warboss
Haven't played Ret in a while: Are the avatar and GUO still shit?
They killed an avatar in one punch?
The fuck?
You have gotten the memo? Avatars are the new scrapbuddy of the galaxy. Whenever you want to show how a character is awesome you have them kill one.
That said, there's a common joke that if the theory that after each death of a shard, each of the remaining shards get more powerful, is true, one day you will get a rampaging Avatar screaming CAAAAAAAALGAR and hoping to go kill the marine.
