Ah, i know what he means but he has misunderstood.
In W40K the Necrontyr were at war with a race called the Old Ones (creators of Orks, Eldar and a few other things) and lizardmen in Fantasy have something called Old Ones.
Yeah, but isn't everything in Warhammer made by the old ones? They made humans, lizardmen, Orks and all those other races.
Pfft no music can possibly compare to the old Midi style rock of final liberation.
Really wish it was easier to record and screenshot to be able to share it, but you can't hook the process with fraps.

They didn't make humans, they just interfered with their evoloution (as did the C'Tan) ORks and Eldar though, yeah.

Erm, sort of spent a good few hours in-between asleep starting the post and the music from retribution above ><
But still I've found a way to record Final liberation gameplay, video time!

Oh yeah, but they did create the lizardmen, orks and Eldar out of the humans, right?
Uh...No. They created Lizardmen, ORks and Eldar from scratch, Long long long before humans even existed.
Oh okay. Just thought that they were made out of humans, because they look humanoid.

You have managed to get FINAL LIBERATION to work on Windows 7? ENLIGHTEN ME!
Why would they need a Grenade launcher when their main weapon is a semi-full automatic 20 odd mm rocket propelled armour pierdcing grenade gun (essentially) with a multitude of diferent rounds?
Bolts don't have an ark trajectory and can't bounce in certain surfaces, neither have a higher AoE than a Frag Nade.
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline]
There could be at least a gauntlet-like device that would permit the Marine throw the grenade farther, or perhaps a compact version of a granade launcher that would be around the same size as a bolt pistol or slightly larger, and you load the frags like in a crossbow.

Nah tended to spread protolife but only directly created a few species including the eldar, orks and a few others now mostly extinct.
All of these were essentially ways to get an edge in the war.
Orks would never die out, thus leaving the warp always existing
Eldar emotions were so powerful that they spontaneously created sentient warp based weapons (the eldar gods)
And stuff like that.
That said - the C'tan have just a strong bio project underway.
a)*genetic fear of the reaper in all species with the exception of orks. - Which is why everyone but the orks fear death and why the personification of death looks so similar across most species.
b)*Pariah project - wherein they gave human genetic code the option to mutate the pariah gene.
It's also sometimes rumoured that the Tau are a C'tan project. Though they could be an old one project as well.
As to marine grenade launchers.
a)*most marine weapons are designed by the codex. Hence codex adherent chapters won't grab new ones
b)*while marines from a less codex wanky chapter might find a grenade launcher interesting and you might potentially find a marine with a personal one, the grenade launcher would have to be a lot better than a marines throwing arm.
Which most aren't. Since I'm fairly certain marines can fluffwise throw grenades over some 600+ meters with relative accuracy.
600+ meters!!?!??

And people still say other races are better.

I dunno, Necrons would be able to wipe them out I think. World Engine etc.

Not designed as much as Designated, pretty much almost every Marine Weapon dates back to before the Heresy, during the crusade, albeit with some upgrades. and I think that 600m factoid is wrong, maybe not quite that far, though Marines can throw them hard enough that the greande doesn't need to blow up to kill a regular person.
Wait a second... people say the Tau have pretty much the most powerful ranged weapons, but I always thought the Necron's standart guns that can pierce through tank plating with ease.
They can, but necrons are less common than Tau at the moment. And they can, not with ease maybe (as far as tabletop goes) but quite possible.
What really? Necrons need more loving.
Wait a second... people say the Tau have pretty much the most powerful ranged weapons, but I always thought the Necron's standart guns that can pierce through tank plating with ease.
Most Necron weapons lack range though. I'm sure they could build longer-range destructobots but they try to evoke fear with their "less advanced" tactics. Necrons have intertialess drives and even this advantage should mean victory for them. They obviously don't use the full capability of their tech.
Oh and gauss flayers are a threat to tanks especially en masse but they're not exactly designated tank killers.
Well the rule is, any gauss weapon that hits on a 6 against a vehicle in the armour penetration roll automatically glances.
RayvenQ, have you ever played Apocalypse? I was just wondering why the Monolith Phalanx is always thought of as ridiculously deadly and unfair.

Older models did have Terminators with built-in Grenade Launchers on their fists

Prbably because of the monolith stats themselves,One of the nastiest vehicles around.
RayvenQ, have you ever played Apocalypse? I was just wondering why the Monolith Phalanx is always thought of as ridiculously deadly and unfair.
Basically, if 2 Monoliths are within...12 inches of oneanother I think, they project a nightshroud with reduces the strength of all fire that passes through the line, Psychic powers can't pass through it either. If there're 3 Monoliths in a triangle, everything within that area gets +1 to We'll Be Back rolls and Psykers are utterly ineffective.
TL;DR: The only real way to get rid of this is to take out one of 3 of the toughest vehicles in the game.
Wow, monoliths can do that?!
Holy shit, I wonder why people dont like them

Only in that formation they can.
What if I have 4 monolith? The area can increase?
No, the formation only accommodates 3.
