Orks have looted carnifexes so they're p cool
I'm thinking of buying some Ork models because I've got the 40k itch again, I'll probably never start playing the TT because I'm too socially retarded but building looted things is too fun. And I need another hobby.
hey we could play. You're like literally a boat-ride away.
[IMg_thumb]http://www.upload.ee/image/1620641/Kay-orkz.png[/IMg_thumb]
painted the first two units of my armies.
They prolly look horribad since I've never painted such stuff.
CC?
[editline]30th August 2011[/editline]
I have yet to install tusks onto the termie.
[editline]30th August 2011[/editline]
or spikes
I really don't like the colour of the terminator. It looks like you need to thin your paints a bit, and try avoid using black for shadows etc., use a darker shade of whatever colour you were using.
Frankly, thin your paints. The termie isn't too great because of this. The Ork axe blade looks nice but the red skull is very sloppily painted. You probably shouldn't paint any blood on weapons, it usually looks bad.
it's rust and i'll try thinning my paints more.
Drybrushed on dark red looks pretty shit hot for blood, drybrush either a darker grey colour or a brown underneath that for more of a rust look
Used to be all over painting the buggers, will post pics if I know where they are
Searched up that to see what they look like, got this on Forge World:

That looks awesome and all, but it also costs $50.
Unless that's like a foot tall there's no way that's worth it. Forgot how expensive WH40k models are...
[editline]29th August 2011[/editline]
And the actual model doesn't even come with arms.
I thought androids where "frowned" upon by Mankind after the Men of iron insident ?
I thought androids where "frowned" upon by Mankind after the Men of iron insident ?
It's not an Android, it's a Dreadnought.

Looks too small can you give me the wiki page so i can research ?:D
Just started to read about the 40k universe i like the dark age of technology and the STUs :D cool stuff
They wouldn't be opposed to chopping off any extraneus limbs to make you fit, afterall, you're only put in one if you're nearly dead.

and by STU I'm presuming you mean STC's

Thanks,
Yeah i mean STC's
Fucking idiots why the fuck do they want to destroy the stc's...
There's only one STC that has been purposefully destroyed and that was on, if i recall, Menazoid Epsilion, destroyed for 2 reasons, 1. It wasa Men of Iron producing STC and 2 It was corrupted, either one would be bad, but it was both, so it had to be blown up.

Yeah,
But the other STC where destroyed by different factions because the power of all mankinds knowlage of technology was too powerful to be contained in one machine(if i recall correctly)
Most other STC's are just lost, and STC's don't contain ALL of mankinds knowledge, just some/parts of it,
Most other STC's are just lost, and STC's don't contain ALL of mankinds knowledge, just some/parts of it,
I just reread the wiki,
The STC library on the planet Hito contains all the knowlage but it is hidden away during this time in the warhammer 40k universe but it exists,
Most STCs where destroyed/lost during the war between the Men of iron and Mankind in the beginning of the Age of strife
Edit:
You where right it isn't totally lost
Known STC data in use by the Imperium at the present has created the ubiquitous Land Speeder, the Thunderhawk gunship and the Land Raider of the Adeptus Astartes, along with lasguns, starship parts and most of the other advanced technologies of the 41st Millennium. Perhaps the most important fragments of any STC led to the creation of the Land Crawler, a farming and utility vehicle that has kept the Imperium fed since its earliest days.
I like how everything that mankind has was created during the dark age of technology and that everything is failing,
The navigation beam that the emperor is sending 70k lightyears is failing and when the golden throne is gone and the emperor is dead there will no longer be any space travel for mankind,
The old humans used another tech for navigation but that has been lost
Those presumptions are correct but...
a) The imperium is still advancing in some areas - very slowly but is. You could say they're rebuilding core knowledge in some areas. Admittedly loosing giant amounts of knowledge in others.
b) If the emperor dies, there's a chance he will get reformed into the star child, the most powerful entity in the universe and make the warp calm again. Thus negating the need for the astronomicon in the first place.

It'd be warp travel not space travel since it's still possible to go through space the old ways but it just takes a long time.
I wonder, does any one STC contain the patterns for another STC?
What STC should stand for?
What STC should stand for?
Standard Template Construct, if that's what you wanted.
I wonder, does any one STC contain the patterns for another STC?
STC library probably does.

I'll probably edit this army list though, seeing I've had that one for more than a year or so. The only thing I don't have right now are the 20 death riders, Medusa siege gun and the infantry support guns (with the special weapons for the infantry).
5000 pounds or less can get you a new car?
holy shit waht
[editline]30th August 2011[/editline]
Never mind, Pounds are far more valued than SEK.
Holy crap, 5000 SEK is less than 500 GBP.
Yepp.
5000 GBP is around 50,000 SEK.

How much has all that cost you total so far? Because I'm willing to bet it's a pretty ridiculous sum. Either way, that's gonna be one helluva army once painted.
Remember to apply gratuitous amounts of mud, and of course build a trench-based gaming board.
To finish my army would cost me £625.00 :V
Will put insurance on it as well.
Oh hey that isn't that bad after all for a 3k point army. Sure, it costs two or three times more than a Cadian force, but you have the advantage of living in Britain so you don't have to pay for shipping.
