My nan gave me £5000. New bed, car, clothes and going to finally finish my Death Korp army. I'll probably edit this army list though, seeing I've had that one for more than a year or so. The only thing I don't have right now are the 20 death riders, Medusa siege gun and the infantry support guns (with the special weapons for the infantry).
Then as soon as you walk into any GW "Hurf Durf You gotta use IG Codex."
Then as soon as you walk into any GW "Hurf Durf You gotta use IG Codex."
My local store manager allows us to use forgeworld rules, with players permission of course. Apparently he's won a lot of golden demons awards and the slayer sword one time, I forget his name though because he's new, don't go down the shop a lot anymore. I'm more into the hobby building and lore side to things rather than playing.
5000 pounds? Wow.
Then as soon as you walk into any GW "Hurf Durf You gotta use IG Codex."
Don't play in GW stores then? I'm sure there's at least one decent FLGS in everyone's city.
Guys, i have a question. In a comic book store in my nation's capital, they sell 40k models, but so far i haven't seen any DKoK models. Are DKoK models GW store exclusive?
No, they're Forgeworld only.

Aren't the Death Korps those crazy IG who are basically the IG equivalent to Necrons?
Not exactly. Every single fucking regiment in 40k is described as "fearless".
Thanks, all of you. I don't think Forgeworld ship to Iceland, though. Anyway, after looking at Forgeworld's chaos models, why didn't they make custom Chaos models, I.E Night Lords, as they made the DKoK with the Imperial Guard?

On the topic of grenade launchers, I remember someone talking about a wrist mounted launcher, well a Raven Guard Captain by the name of Shaan in The Chapters Due has exactly that but he uses it to attach mines to a Chaos Leviathan, or at least I think it's a Leviathan.
I just found a new found love for heavy flamers.

That was an awesome read, thank you.
Apparently there is free Tyranid DLC in the newest update to Retribution. Not sure if late. They gave the Carnifex a new model, and a few creatures got new animations when under synapse effects.
So I tried the Rites of Battle chapter creation tables and got this: The chapter was founded in the 36th millenium, in the 21st Foundingm which obviously means everything will go to hell in a handbasket. It was founded for an unspecified crusade which I assume went to shit. They're a Raven Guard successor chapter, so expect beakies. Gene-seed stock is flawed, they have a crippling flaw which prevents them from creating any new marines, and every marine is incredibly important. They also have an occulobe mutation, which gives them eyesight only barely above the basic human norm in the day, but increased nighttime vision over other pure chapters at night. They have an especial hatred towards heretics and are extremely suspicious towards psykers, sometimes going as far as simply not working with chapters that employ librarians on the battlefield. They also apparently have increased bolter-drills and can achieve higher measures of accuracy in battle than standard chapters. The chapter reveres their Chapter Master who is a psychic null, and thus the perfect anti-psyker weapon. He is also the founder of the chapter, and got his moment in glory when he led a band of marines from different chapters to the heart of an Eldar Craftworld and inflicted massive damage and casualties, until forced to retreat in the face of an Avatar of Khaine. Their recruitment world and the location of their fortress monastery is a jungle world with one massive hive spire on the equator. This is also where they would get their recruits from if the situation with the geneseed wasn't so bad. They maintain a very distant rule over the planet, as the geneseed situation has made recruiting less important. The chapter is somewhat codex divergent, need to figure out how this works. They appear to use Shock & Awe tactics, not sure what this would mean but I suppose it's drop pods and flashy explosions. Big first turn casualties and a year later an uncontrollable enemy insurgency? Heh. No librarians, and I think this is a pretty obvious reason. Supposed to have a traditional weapon they prefer, not sure what this should be. I'd like a power weapon but don't know how viable they are in TT. As a bit of an odd chapter to begin with, their beliefs are even stranger. They still worship the Emperor and revere the Primarchs, but their view of the Emperor himself is rather abstract. They believe the Emperor is a divided figure, on one side a great, almost divine leader of men, but on the other, plagued by his psyker powers which in their mind are a mark of the threat of the powers Chaos and its constant assault on the great human who stands to oppose them. In their sacred imagery and on the imagery of the populace of their planet, the Emperor is often depicted as a smiling sun, sometimes adorned with wings and accompanied with banners depicting great deeds of the chapter. The chapter is severely understrength at the moment, with only three full companies, one half, and some stray units from decimated former companies. The source of this misfortune was from the battle against heretics on a Forge World, where a brunt of the chapter forces were ambushed by traitor titans camouflaged by Chaos sorcery and lead by a corrupted Imperial Guard commander. Only some strays and half of the Third Company survived the devastation. Even they would have perished were it not for the courageous Planetary Defense Forces of that world which responded to their request for assistance although they were being beset by a full traitor titan legion on all sides. The PDF concentrated their artillery fire on the sector the marines were retreating from and annihilated the Heretic forces by the sheer weight of fire. The PDF commander died later in the conflict when his forces broke and fled, and he led his remaining hardened veterans in a heroic charge to occupy the enemy forces for a little while longer while the main artillery batteries reoriented to fire. The hero is depicted on the Third Company banner to this day. They retain a strong bond with the PDF of the forge world to this day, and with some Imperial Guard regiments derived from it. Their worst enemy is the corrupt IG commander and the traitor titan legion he leads to this day. The legion managed to escape into the Warp when the tides turned and is still out there. The chapter honors their wargear as they have very limited supplies. They were not able to recover the armor or weapons of their lost brothers on the forge world, and thus make do with Heresy-era and even pre-Heresy supplies the Mechanicus gives them for as a thanks for helping on saving their important forge world. Without this assistance the chapter would be truly lost, as they are mostly forgotten by the rest of the Imperium (they haven't attended any conflicts lately due to their dwindling forces. Mainly been supporting nearby systems). I think that covers it, what do you think? I rolled a couple times for the name of the chapter but they were all idiotic, so I thought Star Sons fits nicely with the sun-imagery and all.
Corrupt IG commanders, yesssssssss.
My nan gave me £5000. New bed, car, clothes and going to finally finish my Death Korp army.
I jelly u. I wish my relatives would also give me atleast more than 100€ in total once in a lifetime :C and that was because I "graduated" from upper-secondary school/high school. But I'm glad for you because you can do that awesome Korp army, something that I've always wanted to do. :buddy:
Corrupt IG commanders, yesssssssss.
Oh yes, your fetish I see. [editline]30th August 2011[/editline] Also that chapter shit is all random dicerolls except for the name, so it may be a bit contradicting etc. I still like the idea and may build an army around it.
[IMg_thumb]http://www.upload.ee/image/1620641/Kay-orkz.png[/IMg_thumb] painted the first two units of my armies. They prolly look horribad since I've never painted such stuff. CC? [editline]30th August 2011[/editline] I have yet to install tusks onto the termie. [editline]30th August 2011[/editline] or spikes
100x better than my first models.
No, it's just that my army is built on traitor guard, so I like the idea of chaos tainted IG.
I love the idea of traitor guard, but no one seems to play them. Have you done any conversions or is it just standard Cadian stuff with a new paintjob? In either case I'd love to see pics.
Reminded me of the traitor guard regiment you see in Retribution. 'Well we're dead either way. At least Chaos promises something after death.' Made me feel kinda bad for killing them.
Cadian with a new paintjob, sorry. [editline]30th August 2011[/editline] My 500 points list does include a Leman Russ though. Talk about overkill.
Alright, now for a question about a game that doesn't hold relevance to anyone anymore. I'm reinstalled and am playing Winter Assault; and I've reached the second "Order" mission, "Hold the Line." Now, at the part where it switches to the Eldar, my mission is to wipe out three Ork generators and then their arty. For some reason, I'll get a random mission failure shortly after taking out he second or third generator. The game gives me no explanation for this, and looking online has not helped me at all. All my units are still alive, I haven't engaged the Ork vehicles, I am destroying the objectives as asked (and inn the proper order), there is no time limit, and I even switched to normal difficulty to see if that would change things but it doesn't. My game is patched to the latest 1.51 as well. I know none of you play anymore, or have long since beaten the campaign; but if you could help me with past experience or maybe you know some better troubleshooting forums, it would be much appreciated.
