Hm, five days till spess muhreen. Might buy it, the demo was fun enough. Don't really care for the multi though.
Also is it just me or are the Dark Eldar not very "present"? I mean I had actually forgotten about them, and nearly no-one ever talks about them.
I don't really know why we don't talk about them much, but in my opinion, they're awesome.
Though, if the Dark Eldar don't use any psychic abilities, why doesn't Slaanesh stop leeching their souls?
Does Slaanesh also leech the souls of Eldar?
It was only in DOW 1.
I'm used now to sitting there watching one of my units do a kill animation while I furiously click away only for them to get killed while the animation plays.
Well it is sort of applied to DoW2.
You may not avoid ALL damage when doing a killsync in DoW2, but the damage you take does decrease by like 70-90%.
Speaking of Eldar and Dark Eldar, where would I go besides the Lexicanum for fluff? I'd rather read a paper and ink book, rather than peruse a wiki all day. :v:
Necrons are so badass i mean just listen to this piece of music made for them

Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium is the first Warhammer 40K book I've read and I love it so far.
Really fleshes out the IG for me.
Hoboharry: The Eldar wear Soul Stones to preserve their souls upon death and keep them safe from Slaanesh.

I really hope that the Marines are just joining an IG assault, since there's a Thunderhawk at the end of the video
Space Marines are never the primary defenders of a planet unless it's a chapter recworld, and they were never meant to be.
You can see IG barges as primary defenses pretty clearly.
Rawbooty Girlyman. Excuse the apparent excess of 1d4 chan-wiki
Ultramarines are the epitome of space marines as much as a policeman who operates strictly by the book is. What is the most successful (barring Ward smurf faggotry) chapter to date?

There's also a Blood Raven next to said thunderhawk, why would a Blood Raven be there?
Less than Six days remain.
Hoboharry: The Eldar wear Soul Stones to preserve their souls upon death and keep them safe from Slaanesh.
Do these soul stones prevent Slaanesh from leeching their souls while they're still alive?
Also, seeing as psychic activity sparks the interest of Slaanesh, aren't eldar Warlocks or Farseers greatly affected when they use their spells in battle?
Or have they found a way to disguise their psychic abilties from Slaanesh?
There's also a Blood Raven next to said thunderhawk, why would a Blood Raven be there?
Getting corrupted by Chaos no doubt.

They've come to steal the forgeworld.

Blood Angels and Templars come to mind. The Templars have literally been on multiple crusades for thousands of years.

Because if Ward isn't a writer something needs to be there to break some fluff
I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I downloaded the Space Marine demo off of steam, it finished downloading, but when I go and launch it, my monitor says "input not supported" and goes black. I can hear the game in the background but nothing on the monitor. Is there anything I can do? I tried setting the launch options for lower resolution and windowed, but neither worked.
Is this the wrong thread to ask? If so, where should I ask?

What do you mean by Webway Gate Construction?
Also, the Templars also have a lot of Astartes, somewhere from around 6000 to 12000, which might be another reason why they're successful.

Stealing Captain Titus' battle loin cloth of course.
Er, I mean "reclaiming" it.'

Don't worry, this is the right thread to ask.
Though, i don't know how you can fix that problem, sorry.
If anything, just try to defrag/validate game files in the demo's properties in your game library.

Do guardsmen really have to bow to space marines and call them "my lord" and whatnot? I never noticed any of that until this game.
check if there's an ini, if so, lower it to 640/480 and then adjust accordingly.

It's not a question of slaanesh noticing, it's that hesheit can't access them if the Eldar has a soulstone(s), period. Khorne notes Orks, Ork juju still comes and goes to Gork and Mork, period. The eldar are able to build webway gates and Slaanesh can do nada about it without help from an outside source.

I think i recall them also doing that at one point in DoW2.
But wouldn't it be respectful to bow down to a few Space Marines that are probably going to save your ass from a bunch of orks later on?

Heh, Relic's smart, a sergeant and his squad that the Force Commander and his squad save later on appears in the Imperial Guard Retribution campaign.
Depends on the regiment. Some would, some could care less. Pretty sure Catachans who've been in the field for a couple of years covered in Tyranid shit could care less about protocol or rank.

Is there a folder in my documents or the demo base folder?
Snip, I got it working, thanks to those who offered help!
Do guardsmen really have to bow to space marines and call them "my lord" and whatnot? I never noticed any of that until this game.
Depends on the chapter. To my knowledge, The ultra marines are considered the ruling lords of their home system. other chapters work differently, for example, the space wolves get their recruits from simple tribes who consider them to be gods.
Correct me if i'm wrong.
Which I probably am.
