Why should one sacrifice his life for the Emperor?
Not to sound like a traitor, but he's a 40,000+ year old dude that you've never even met in person, and i can't imagine sacrificing yourself for him is any good unless you're a psyker.
Basically they see the Emperor as God.

Do love that one.
If you died, then you either died like a heretic - having been shot by Adeptus Arbites after trying to mug someone, caught a plunger to the head making sure a device didn't backfire and kill everyone else working on it, or were shot or rended on the battlefield killing xenos and heretics.
Two out of three are helpful to the Emprah.
You forgot letting yourself die as a Psyker to keep the Emperor alive.
He's really the only thing keeping mankind together.
Even though he's holding the lines between the warp and reality in his Golden Throne, it doesn't seem too righteous or logical to die for him.
Its about 80 rubles for him or so, last I checked it was around 1.70 region. The guy produces models and sells them, I asked him if the prices are in rubles anyway seeing his price list was written in Russian, just waiting back on a reply from him.
All I know is that's a lot of vodka money.
And that's assuming S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s prices were realistically based

Care to either PM it or post it in the thread when you get it?

Except if you don't every single planet in the Imperium will be isolated and destroyed.

Yeah sure.

I'm fairly certain that if you don't embrace the Emperor and are not an Eldar with their fancy stones your soul is going to be eaten by any number of daemonic creatures.
When they say "the emperor protects" they mean it quite literally.
Except if you don't every single planet in the Imperium will be isolated and destroyed.
I never really thought about it that way, point taken.
Though, why would every planet be isolated and destroyed in the Imperium?
Holy shit those are awesome, I jelly
Custodes are my favorite "spess muhreens"
They're actually not Space Marines. They're heavily augmented humans.

So the guy basically cleans up humanity's shit - killing a metric fuck-ton of people in the process - creates the Adeptus Astartes who, by the way, millions die of each day to keep you alive, unites humanity into a single, coalescent empire, gives you the badasses known as the Primarchs who save people's asses like it's a quest-line in an Elder Scrolls game, imprisons what is essentially the Devil on Mars (no doubt by beating the shit out of it until it cried to know what death felt like), dies saving humanity's shit again, gives you the Astronomican rather than revive himself, and spends eternity on a golden throne in a constant state of near-death just to make sure people have a compass in space.
Yup, totally not worth dying for to save.
And, keep in mind, basically anybody who you don't die fighting wants to kill him and wreck everyone's shit. I think it's logical to assume each planet taken is a risk too great to stop at simple costs like death.
Edit:
It took me ten minutes to write that
And I was Ninja'd.
I never really thought about it that way, point taken.

Because, if a planet is taken, it's pretty difficult to take back. So the only real solution is to nuke it, bio-bomb it so nothing can live there again, suck off its atmosphere so anything that survived that now needs a space-suit, and then nuke it again.
They're actually not Space Marines. They're heavily augmented humans.
Which is why I put "space marines" in quotes. Besides, they're better than space marines. And technically space marines are heavily augmented humans too.

The Emperor is the one maintaining the Astronomican bro. He also protects Imperial ships through the warp. So without him, they would travel blind and unprotected through the warp. Not to mention the Eldar believe that when he dies it will create a new Eye of Terror that will fuck the fabric of reality into oblivion.

Fuck it, here it is anyways.
Chaos claims the unwary or the incomplete. A true man may flinch away its embrace, if he is stalwart, and he girds his soul with the armour of contempt.
There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.
I'm buying these custom custodian models from this Russian guy, 5 guys for about £1.70

Those are awesome do you have any pics of his other models if he makes any?
Those are awesome do you have any pics of his other models if he makes any?
He's made a bunch of primarchs, the Emperor, some other things like some custom heroes and terminators etc.

Theres a Blood Raven at 4:16
Does that mean they will feature in the campaign?
Just came back from Barcelona, I've been looking for the Fulgrim book in the HH series for months but I haven't been able to find it, and finally today a friend o'mine lent it to me, time to keep reading! (shame it has to be today, because tomorrow I'll be playing Space Marine like a madman).
I'd still like to buy the book and have them all

I think they're either the reinforcements or they're looking for some ancient artefact or both.

Yeah, they assist the Ultramarines in the singleplayer, but in reality, they're only on Graia to "find" more wargear for Dawn of War 3.

They're receiving the Thunderhawk as a gift from the Ultramarines
While clipping out the bits for the Grey Knight Terminators, i noticed a hand holding a severed head of a Bloodletter.
Does this actually improve any stats in tabletop or such?
MUUUUUHREEENZ

You guys are so lucky. I'll ave to wait for the ninth to be able to play SPESS MEHREEN.

Become a flagellant and whip yourself in the Emperor's name until it's out.
I'll have to wait 'till I get the key from G2play, I hope I don't have to wait much

No, it's purely cosmetic.

I also have to wait until the 9th of September. :smith:
But i have 5 GKTs to finish plus i've got plenty of games to play.

I imagine you could sub in them to play as grey knight paladins without to much of a hassle.
No, it's purely cosmetic.
Oh, thanks.
So i'm guessing my GKTs are better off with storm bolters or such?
