So, wait, I wanna hear about these Melta Guns. How exactly do they behave? I've always thought they were like flamethrowers.
They are the like shotguns in it though they were actually supposed to behave like a BIGASS HAIRDRYER (or railgun) that shoots a line of burning gases that is so hot that melts shit up pretty easely. The range for it to be effective is pretty low so I think making it a shotgun on Space Marine quite fitting
So, I've downloaded and played through the demo. Found it satisfying and fun enough but I'm curious and want to gauge the general, conclusive opinions from others on the game: Is it worth getting at this point?

The multi seems pretty damn fun and the campaing dont get old.

It looks like a bargin bin dreadnought.

I'd always figured that would be an accurate representation. Is it?
My only problem with the multiplayer is Melta guns. They seem to take no skill because of their massive damage and splash. Also, does Leftenant = Lieutenant in 40K?
If you don't land most of the shot it does almost no damage. It's really an everything or nothing gun; either you two shot them or you spend 5 minutes desperately reloading before they cut you open with a chainsword. It's fine. Only weapon I consider OP right now is the Demon Maul/Thunder Hammer and maybe an upgraded Heavy Bolter. The campaign is pretty good, repetitive, but still good. The multiplayer is a very unique, fun experience that feels like nothing else I have played before. I bought this game purely on a whim and I have to say it's probably my best purchase all year.
I bought this game purely on a whim and I have to say it's probably my best purchase all year.
Yeah, I have to say that I've almost bought this game on whim aswell but I'm trying to control myself because it IS 50 bucks. I just paid fifty for gas three days ago so spending fifty again so soon makes me a little hesitant. But that's what jobs are for. It'll come back soon again! Gonna buy tonight I think.

Any dirty console-playing peasants like me found themselves unable to redeem their Elite Pass/pre-order DLC codes?
Played Dawn of War 2 co-op yesterday with a buddy on the highest difficulty (Primarch I think it's called) and we're on some mission to [sp]kill a tyranid that killed/wounded Thule[/sp] and suddenly A FUCKING GIANT CARNIFEX. We never managed to kill it. See this motherfucker? He will rape your shit, he one hitted most of our space marines.
I remember playing DoW2 on Primarch. It mainly consisted of my friend using Cyrus to plant explosives under the arse of every Carnifex and other dangerous enemy we found, and occasionally throwing a grenade right when I jetpack the FC into a group of enemies, gibbing him in the process. Good times.
I remember fucking shit up with the force commander's thunder hammer and Davian Thule's assault cannon. I never really used Cyrus or Thaddeus that much. [editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
Ey don't spoil the game for me, I gotta wait one fucking week still >:(
A week? Sorry to hear that, bro.
Ey don't spoil the game for me, I gotta wait one fucking week still >:(
You kill a lot of Orks, then you kill more Orks.

[editline]7th September 2011[/editline] A week? Sorry to hear that, bro.
The dread assault cannon is the most OP thing in the game, right after Vanilla Ice that is. The assault cannon barrage ability can onehit bosses if placed right and will annihilate any infantry unit. Thule's meltagun in CR was useless
Fixed
I still laughed at the cathedral shell when I got to that part of the game.
You kill a lot of Orks, then you kill more Orks.
And then stay with me on this you kill even more orks.
And then stay with me on this you kill even more orks.
But then Chaos came
What exactly is Vanilla Ice?
Force Commander Vanilla Ice
Protip for anyone going through the campaign: When you get the the part with the [sp]hostile servo-turrets[/sp] make sure you have ranged weapons and plenty of ammo. I was caught out with an empty Vengeance Launcher, empty bolter, and a melta gun. It didn't end well for reasons that you will discover yourself.
[sp]When I got the Kraken bolter I had 17. So I think you're missing a few[/sp]
Ok, so when I got to the [sp]Kraken Bolter[/sp] I had [sp]21 servo skulls[/sp], so I [sp]checked the audio logs a little later and noticed it lists all of the servo skulls in every chapter! Ones you haven't found yet are titled "Locked Servo Skull", while the rest show you the title, like "Drogan's Journal", or "Personal Message" or whatever. Turns out I was still missing about a half dozen.[/sp] [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] Also I see what you guys say about [sp]wanting to punch Leandros in the face. Fucking bitch. I'm the player character, I'm immune to everything! >:([/sp]
What happened to [sp]Sidonus[/sp]? [sp]Did the Blood Ravens appear and how did they appear?[/sp] [sp]What chapters appear in SP[/sp] [sp]Titus is the predecessor of Cato Sicarius?[/sp] I saw the ending cut-scene considering how I am gonna have exams in a few weeks and the last thing I need would be a huge distraction.
