I just used a plasma pistol
Thats what I did, it was slow and painful work.
I really wish the multiplayer had good infrastructure to match the gameplay. It's hard to get into games and when you do you have to hope your host isn't a Brazilian on 56k. Not to mention they still haven't fixed the open mics yet.
Virtually useless on tabletop if the enemy has any lascannon/equivalent weapons at all.
But in Dawn of War 2 he will rape you and your entire family.

Oh nice. Where did you hear this?

$7 each is a bit much imo, maybe $20-30 for all of them would be more reasonable.

If anyone would be up for VASSAL later today, just PM me.
The dread assault cannon is the most OP thing in the game, right after Vanilla Ice that is. The assault cannon barrage ability can onehit bosses if placed right and will annihilate any infantry unit.
Thule's meltagun in CR was useless
Woah woah woah, hold on a second.
One hit bosses?
I knew that with your points put into the right skills that the Assault Cannon would be devastating, but i didn't know it was that devastating.
Also, Dreadnought Assault Cannon in Retribution is quite bad now really.
I should also mention that one of my 10-man squads eviscerated a charging 16 Hormagaunts with no wounds.
Vassal feels biased sometimes.
Wanna play later? :v:

Some of the early bosses that is, no Avatars of Khaine. If you aim it right, the boss will be moving along the arc of fire and get hit multiple times, losing a shitton of health and on lower difficulties oneshotting them.
Sorry. Don't have enough time to spare at the moment.
I meant in a couple hours. Also, the school wi-fi (In switzerland) says that I'm in Great Britain.

carnifex's are useless in TT? well thats disapointing to hear as he's the next thing i plan on buying for my nid army (got terma/hormgaunts genestealers and warriors raveners and a lictor so far)
my freind gave me his nid army (unpainted) and it's got one of those tyranid defense turrets from DoW II in it, i have no idea exactly how i would use it in TT, also some strange biological looking bits of scenery/terrain, i've got a codex but no main rule book yet so i have no idea what they do or how to use them.
any ideas guys?
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
never played a game of TT either and i'm sat on roughly a 750 point army from what i worked out from my codex
MEQ being? sorry i'm a complete newb when it comes to TT
No sign of the Tyranid turrets in forge world, unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

You sure it's not one of the scenery pieces from the 4th edition starter set?

It's a fucking kickass paper-and-pen RPG in which players take up the role of acolytes of His holiest Inquisition. Find people to play it with. PURGE THE HERESY
You will go mad.
And die.
And possibly explode, showering your surroundings with superheated bone fragments.
So yes, play it.
And maybe also battle murderous chaos-posessed servitors.
Or have yourself turned into swiss cheese once at least every mission.
Or try and fail at hacking a simple ticket machine.
This game is fun as shit
Whatabout I play this shit online?
Like over skype.
We should organize FP games, like DnD thread is doing.

Space Marine is damn fun and has great multiplayer. I have one huge complaint, however. In single player, the Rokkit Launchas are out of control. They do incredible amounts of damage to you, half your shield in one hit, 75 percent or all of your health in another hit. This is aweful when trying to fight a horde of enemies, because the rokkits will screw you over so many times. The developers seemed to have loved the rokkits, however, because they put an absolutely incredible amount of them in game. I would go to an area, and there would be something to the tune of ten rokkit launchas all in hard to shoot places, and I would die and die and die. They need to lessen the damage or reduce the amount of launchas. I beat the game, but that was the thing that frustrated the most.

Blame the WAAGH! not the game. Rokkit Launchers are strong as fuck for a reason.
Also learn to dodge.

Not bad.
Actually, that's quite good, nice job.
Blame the WAAGH! not the game. Rokkit Launchers are strong as fuck for a reason.

I do dodge when I am facing lone groups of launchas. Problem is, when I was caught up in melee with a large group, I would find myself getting blown up a lot by the rokkit support. Also, some of the executions take way too long, and I found myself dieing at horrible moments when I have low health and I need the health very badly, but I have a chainsword and Titus would do the one where he would run an ork through, lift him up, and then kick him. It was less bad with the power axe, and I did not really need to do executions with the thunder hammer.
So beat the campaign and farmed multiplayer for a bit with some friends (why not :V:). Was getting 15k or more exp (it capped us at 15k at one point) per round. I have to say the Chaos armor for beating the campaign isn't too great looking.
Also here have the ending (spoilers duh)
