I'm saying this as the devastator, the class that I am playing because why wouldn't I play the class with the best guns, the most armor, and the second best melee option of three classes?
I appreciate the subtle suggestion that I suck at a peer-to-peer third person shooter though.

Forgeworld in a nutshell.

And expensive to the max.
So i just managed to play some multiplayer in SM - god i need more practice, i even got curb-stomped to death by a devastator while being an ass-ault marine.
Anyway, there is a semi fix for sound stuttering etc. - apparently uninstalling 2005 microsoft c++ redistributables makes it go away somehow. I did try it, and it seems to work, so it's worth checking out.

If you can get a hold of it, USE IT. It's amazingly effective and I've heard it doesn't damage the models AT ALL. Plastic nor metal. I've used it for my stuff and even 15 minutes will allow the paint to start sloughing off. Do use gloves, though, and try not to splash yourself. It stings and can give you chemical burns.
Well, i've been doing a bit of paint mixing, and here's my results so far.
Regal Blue + Boltgun Metal make darkish green paint.
Skull White + Boltgun Metal only give it a lighter color.
And one last thing.
Never.
EVER.
Mix something with Shining Gold.

I highly recommend putting your mixes in a paint pot.
When you unlock the armor for finishing the campaign, can you mix and match it or only use the full armor?
It's made of parts from armor sets.

Why?
If i can write down/remember the paint combinations, it's not that big of a deal.

not having to waste colours when you already have a few of the combination ready, for instance.

I say, if you can afford it, go that extra way to get more paints.
Sadly it isn't actually and looks nowhere near as awesome as the actual beaky helm.
They had to make it compatible with the MK8 Errant breastplate.
Coal Black and Blood Raven Red is the colors i use in multiplayer, although the coal black seems a little dark blue-ish in a bright enviroment.

Meh, the paint cans here cost around 5$ each, i try to do what i can with the colors i have at the moment.
Got my dad to start reading the First Heretic from the Horus Heresy series.

The Horus Heresy series books are difficult to start out with. They require a lot of background to completely understand.
So what's the very first book I/anybody should start with.
I'm thinking about getting space wolf as my first book.

Mm, true, but he knows what the books are about, what the universe has to offer and what races there are and what they do.

it depends what you're going for really, the first space wolf omnibus gives you an idea of how a space wolf/marine is chosen and created (roughly) and the progression involved, where as the Horus heresy has all the important and characters and why the 40k universe is as it is
I love my Chaos Marine.

"Hmmm I should give this lascannon Dev a pair of glasses or something..."
The bolt pistol is a very odd weapon sometimes. In your hands it appears to be doing jack shit, in the hands of everyone around you its a miracle weapon that downed you in six shots.
Woah, when i saw the ratling snipers models, i always thought they were crouching on their knees.
When i took a better look on the Lexicanum i realized they were midgets/very small abhumans.
