How long is Chaos Rising compared to Dawn of War II?
I'm interested in Warhammer 40K, but I don't have the patience for it. Although I would love to make maps. Anyone know what materials to use?
Also, apparently my parents tried to play it back around 1992 I think. So I've got two characters painted, an assload of parts, and an old book. I don't have any paint or glue for the other parts though.

Is anyone here a GM for dark heresy or any 40k roleplaying game?
So I started up Space Marine for the first time today. Oh my god this game is amazing, the melee kills are so satisfying. Most fun I've had in a looong time.
I got Space Marine on PC the other day (dad already got it for the 360, but I have no Gold account so I can't play online, which I want to), only to figure out I can't play it, at all. On the plus side, it caused me to fix my CD drive and figure out why I can't play pretty much any game (my power supply is too small, I need at least another 150W). :v:
So I've been playing space marine, and I was wondering something.
My friend told me that the orks use mele weapons against dudes in massive fucking power armor because they're so strong they're able to break through it. In that case, whats with those little imp-type guys? They look like they have the strength of a 10 year old. How are they supposed to rip through power armor? Are they basically the Imperial Guard of the ork army?
Those are Gretchin. Their job is to serve their Ork masters and to die while trying to swarm the enemy.
Also, how many IG factions are available in plastic/resin?
I want cooler stuff to happen in SM2. I want to become a Dreadnought too, at least for the end. I want to escape a planet just before Exterminatus. Two player co-op would be nice too.
I would like larger scale battles honestly. Some of the big ones in SM were a lot of fun but I think they could go a lot bigger.

They really wont be getting any bigger as long as the game is going to be made for consoles and PC.
Sad but true. Optimization and shit.

So basically you want DoW2: Retribution.
Again.
Original.

Would be great to have a 64 player game. And if it had Imperial guardsmen, it would be even better.

There's a mod coming out for Red Orchestra 2 that will be multiplayer with Imperial Guardsman vs Orks. Don't know how many players it will support though.

I don't know; I've never played Retribution, but whatever.
And "Again"? I've never talked to you. No need to be an dick.

I didnt know third person shooter/hack'n'slash and top view real time strategy were the same thing.
I rented Space Marine for PS3, apparently there's a matchmaking bug that makes connecting take 30+ minutes.

There is practically no chance that mod will ever come out.
If you read the one little thread they have there's absolutely no evidence to support that any serious work has been done or is being done.
I want a 40k RTS from the scale of Sup Com. Well, maybe not AS large, but the possibility to be. Nids/Orks/IG can be swarmy once more. Could have super mega ultra units instead of just super units IE titans.

The mod isn't even in pre production phases yet.
It's not even being worked on by anyone and all they have is just an idea of what they want.
Dont expect it for another 3 years or maybe longer. All the Red orchestra moders are tied up to different projects and there's really only an idea guy/mod leader on it.

There's always the EPIC games.
I doubt they work on windows 7 though.

I thought it actually had people working on it, didn't know. Still would be an awesome mod though.

Propably he meant that again exterminatus and escape before exterminatus wipes the player.

I'm not being a dick, and you're not the center of the universe. Maybe you do some research on retribution before getting butthurt.

What? Have I done something to you? I didn't know an event that happens in a game I've yet to play, I apologize. I'm not going to research it either because I do not care to spoil it for myself.
And yes, you are being a dick.

They might all be resin soon, what with replacing all the metal with it.
Am I the only one who welcomes this? I've always liked to be able to cut off bits of my models and shape them more easily. You just can't do that with metal.
Ghostridin' the Invictus
Welp apparently since I rented it I can't get past level 5, it needs a code.
game still haven't delivered sm to me yet and i cant cancle because they're doing some BS with the website and it says "unshipped".
