Playing multiplayer for longer than 30 minutes will somehow make Steam lose connection. So far only SM does it and no other game. Is this happening to anyone else?
The servers have problems on all consoles, I believe. It should be fixed soon.
The servers have problems on all consoles, I believe. Is it really that hard to put something like that into a game?
The most obvious things are often the most obvious ones to forget.

Is it really that hard to put something like that into a game?
Adding support for dedicated servers is actually a lot easier than building an entire peer-to-peer network system yourself. Why developers insist on doing that for PC games is a mystery to me. It's like they want to waste time and money specifically for a worse experience for the end user. And yeah open mics are getting old, dunno how that got through playtesting.
My guess is they basically assumed that if you have a mic plugged in, you're going to use it. About dedicated servers, it's probably to avoid cheating and also because it's probably easier to keep track on a player's advancement if all the servers are the same.
For Titus to have been able to resist the nearly direct exposure to the warp (going along with your theory) he'd have to be a strong enough blank that anyone within range would be able to heavily feel the effects or at least detect the blankness. Put a blank near a psyker, any level of blank, and the psyker will know because they'll feel the void of them. [editline]12th September 2011[/editline] Get out of this thread and never step foot in it again.
Why? I liked Soulstorm...

I think the devs were just lazy.
Just saw the advert for Space Marine on TV. My God. It's cornier than one of my turds.
They could always use VAC for the cheating and lots of games use dedicated servers with experience tracking. Like TF2's achievements/idle servers.
They could always use VAC for the cheating and lots of games use dedicated servers with experience tracking. I think the devs were just lazy.
VAC is already used.
Hey, does anyone remember what that comic was called with that grumpy chaos space marine and that little girl? I cant remember the name.
VAC detects .dll hacking and stuff. I'm talking about modded servers that allow you for example to instantly unlock everything. Like TF2's achievements/idle servers.
I never really thought of that as a problem. If someone wants to ruin their own progression, let them. That being said, I would probably do it too at this point. I don't like how I have to get multikills to unlock my Melta perk.
I wonder, do the console versions of Space Marine have split screen play?
Why? I liked Soulstorm...
It's because a lot of people hate Soulstorm. Let's not forget though, we wouldn't have heard the 'amazing' voice acting of Boreale if we didn't have Soulstorm, as mentioned in this thread before.
I wonder, do the console versions of Space Marine have split screen play?
Not for now. Luckily enough it will be added with the upcoming free dlc.
Let's not forget though, we wouldn't have heard the 'amazing' voice acting of Boreale if we didn't have Soulstorm, as mentioned in this thread before.
Why is amazing in quotes? Obviously you all know something, what happened to captain Boreale?

Rolling over everyone in 1v1 games with 3 firewarrior squads and a commander was great. [editline]12th September 2011[/editline]
Why is amazing in quotes? I thought about something earlier. If heresy grows from idleness, wouldn't ancient dreads like Bjorn be uber heretics? Especially Bjorn, he spends centuries idle. And i know they're put to sleep and all but still.
I think it's supposed to be an image. You know, not literal.
we know our duty and we will do it
[editline]12th September 2011[/editline] He got dead.
NO!
Just saw the advert for Space Marine on TV. My God. It's cornier than one of my turds.
I think you should start worrying about your turds wearing power armors.

He'll be batshit insane by then.
Today the enemy is at our door.
ONly problem with that kiwi is 1. He'd have been found out as a blank long before the mission, i.e whenever it first appeared/when he was a recruit. Even if he'd somehow avoided having been detected by the librarians when he was a recruit, they'd pretty much know the moment he did turn into one. Secondly, he'd have made EVERYONE feel uncomfortable and give them the creeps, that includes Mira, Sidonus and Liandros. (also fyi Blanks aren't psykers and aren't rated on a psyker scale either, they're either blanks, or they aren't.)
There's actually a blank scale which is similar to the psyker scale depandant on how much someone is a blank.
Not for now. Luckily enough it will be added with the upcoming free dlc.
We're talking good 4 player, full customization of our characters, splitscreen right?
Yep. There isn't any form of splitscreen on console for now.
Aren't space marines already batshit insane in the first place ?
Bjorn the Fell Handed is so freaking batshit insane that with only a few new recruits to the Space Wolves he held off an invasion by the Thousand Sons to take the Space Wolf stronghold on Fenris. Also, I believe he tends to see things in the era of the horus heresy.
