But. Civilians...You would not just leave them to die brother?

If they were to be touched by the taint of Chaos or any form of Heresy, I would. If they had no contact with any such being(s) then I would try to my utmost extent to save them.

But..you're already on the thunderhawk...
I want to get into the series, but there's just so much lore that I have a hard time getting into it. Any game I should start from or something?

DoW1 is a good game to get into the lore, but if you don't care if it's a game or not I suggest one of the many books or find some good articles on the Wiki.

What has been done has been done, no use wallowing in the past.
It is amazing how cheap 40k is on ebay.
Am i the only one that really likes the Salamanders?
Salamanders are pretty cool. I might actually make a Salamanders army for tabletop.
Or I might make a Guard army. Can't decide aaaahhh.
Rate Winner for SM and Friendly for IG. Please.

...Is your avatar Tali with Onua's mask in place of her own? Or something like that?

is that the beakie helmet
good fucking god
I already knew about the Rubric of Ahriman, thanks, but i was just a bit puzzled on why they were incapable of thought.
Though, what do you mean gaunts operating without synapse creatures?
Gaunts usually need synapse creatures to be able to operate?
What 27X said. Outside of synapse range they become feral. Which basically translates to: If your gaunts move away from your synapse creatures in-game, you lose control of them and they just sit around until an enemy shows up, in which they either flee to some random area or suicidally attack.
Wouldn't be fun to play in as in an RTS.
...Is your avatar Tali with Onua's mask in place of her own? Or something like that?
Yes. It could also be Onua wearing Tali's hood, who knows?
How hard is it to actually learn all of the rules and such of the tabletop game?
If it helps, I've played a LOT of different tabletop games, ranging from D&D (going back to 2e up to current editions), along with many different trading card games (most prominently MTG).

Yes.

Just get a rulebook.

DnD is more of a pen and paper game isn't it? So that's more akin to Dark Heresy
God damn it Relic, not again. I just heard about the DLC and decided to look it up (for Space Marine) and it's another one of their over-priced skin packs.
Or, you know, free four player coop DLC in October.
DnD is more of a pen and paper game isn't it? So that's more akin to Dark Heresy
The DnD I play is on a map with minatures, but with a sheet to keep track of stats.

They had to make it less beakie to be compatible with the MK8 errant armor.
Just get a rulebook.
That doesn't really answer my question.
That doesn't really answer my question.
I'd imagine if you are familiar with other tabletop games, and you have a 40k rulebook, it would be easy to get into.

Okay cool, I have a friend that is interested in it, we just have to stop being so cheap.
Am I the only one who thinks Leandros was kind of right?
[sp]I mean this isn't high school you know. You can't just cover for your bros, seeing as how your bros can be corrupted by Dark Gods from the realms beyond.
If he really is immune to the effects of the warp, then I'm sure the Inquisition will find out. But it's always better safe than sorry, yeah?[/sp]

Nah Leandros was being a dick. Also spoiler tags.
There are other ways of dealing with it than the Inquisition and they're just going to make everything so much more difficult. It's like your friend is an addict so you call the cops on him and send him to prison rather than rehab, it's just a dick move.
anyone know where to get some mod tools for soulstorm?

Except addicts don't commonly form mass death cults and commit genocide. And usually your friend doesn't have the combat ability to cut down whole armies.
[sp]Let's assume that Titus was corrupt. Think about it, he was able to kill an already enhanced Chaos Space Marine Daemon Prince. Imagine if he was even further enhanced by warp power? He would be one of the most powerful chaos warmasters in the sector. Would you really take that risk just because he might just be the only Ultramarine alive who's immune to the warp?
Let's just look at this realistically and not through the Matt Ward brand Ultramarines are Immune to Corruption glasses. Captain Titus has already shown a liking towards independent thought, would it really be so hard for the dark gods to corrupt him?[/sp]

Its kind've dumb considering he [sp]stomps a chaos lord, almost dying JUST to defend the Imperium, not get anything for himself. How much else can you ask for?[/sp]
[sp]Hell, think about it from the inquisitor's point of view. The Chapter Master of the Ultramarines uses weapons taken from a fucking Chaos Lord. Wouldn't that make it even more prudent for him to look out for Ultramarines using the power of Chaos? Not just for the sake of the surrounding sector, but for the Ultramarines themselves?
Matt Ward wise, the Ultramarines contain the most powerful and skilled members of any chapter. Imagine if the captain of an entire company were corrupted and managed to worm his influence into the rest of the lot? It would be a cataclysm.[/sp]

All Space Marines do that. Not all of them are capable of such a feat, but they still all fight and die to defend the Imperium.
[sp]But what if, in this scenario, he didn't do it to protect the Imperium? What if he did forge a bargain with the Dark Gods in order to get revenge on Nemeroth? What would be the difference to the casual observer?[/sp]

[sp]Who guarantees he won? Since no one was there to see the clash.
Maybe Titus could have lost and the demon would take his body to trick them.[/sp]
