5 points over is probably the maximum I'd allow, try a 750 or 1000 point army.
Oh, that's an option, if i get a second squad of Grey Knight Terminators and one Grey Knight squad, i think i'll be at around 750 points.
I just finished building my first models, Ork Nobs, any tips and paint recommendations for painting them?
Basecoat with a black spray, paint the flesh snot green and ink it black or dark brown. Thin your paints with water to prevent ugly thick layers building up. Weather weapons by painting them Boltgun Metal, wash them black and drybrush them with a small amount of Mithril Silver. Apply sand to the base using PVA glue before spray painting. That said, there are many, many ways to paint Orks, and if you don't like the colour of snot green then there are a number of useful but fairly simple guides to painting ork flesh online.

So, i've thought of around 3 choices for my GK army. I'll use a rhino/some other unit that doesn't cost a lot of points with an amount of weapon choices that won't violate the limit of 500 points or such, along with a Grey Knight Paladins squad and Castellan Crowe. I'll use two Grey Knight Paladin squads and Castellan Crowe along with a Rhino/something that doesn't cost a lot of points to have a 750 point army. I'll use one Grey Knight Paladin squad and Castellan Crowe along with two Grey Knight Purifier squads and also something that won't cost over 70/75 points to have a 750 point army, this will be a choice that'll let me make the most of the Grey Knight Purifier squads as having Castellan in your army let's Purifiers be troops instead of elites. What do you guys think? Or should i skip all those choices and go for a 1000 point army?
Be careful what you wish for. Matt Ward will find some way to fuck it up.
Necron troops became squad choices for the Blood Angels
I wish that Necrons had access to Tau Shield Drones. Mmmmm...Yeeeeah.
Necron troops became squad choices for the Blood Angels
Argh!
Just found my old box of about 40 space marines, of various colours, quality, equipment and materials. I think two of them are commanders. After playing a bit of the Space Marine game, I'm sorely tempted to buy a rulebook and get right back in there, even though 2 or 3 of these guys have missing limbs, and I've almost completely forgotten how to play.
I think I was in that game! I remember watching 4 of my chaos buddies die on the cap point and I ran up and capped it myself! Was a "Doop" in your game? That was me!
Oh, i dont remember :<
Somebody should make Facepunch Warhammer Steam group.
You should make an Imperial Guard army, in my opinion.
Imperial Guard it is! FORWARD YOU DOGS,TO VICTORY! [editline]14th September 2011[/editline]
Y U So expensive forgeworld?
Whoa, those look cool.
Somebody should make Facepunch Warhammer Steam group.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FacepunchWarhammerGamers
The group should be Facehammer Warpunch [editline]14th September 2011[/editline] Warpunch chapter, the fearful Facehammer Company
Man, I love how this is one of the most well-mannered threads on Facepunch. I think that's probably all because the Emperor wants it that way.
Man, I love how this is one of the most well-mannered threads on Facepunch. I think that's probably all because the Emperor wants it that way.
Matt Ward is a great author and my spiritual liege.
Space Marines are overrated :colbert:
Blood Angels Scarab Riders. 110pts.
Space Marines are overrated :colbert:
*cough*Chaos rules*cough*
Man, I love how this is one of the most well-mannered threads on Facepunch. I think that's probably all because the Emperor wants it that way.
It is? I didn't really notice that, no offense. [editline]14th September 2011[/editline] Anyway, i went to the store and a lot of good news: I found magnets to use for my Grey Knight Terminator special weapons/special weapon arms, i also bought scorched brown, bleached bone and chainmail paint cans, and i asked the guy in the store if they had 40k books. Turns out there were 40k books in the store just beside the store i was in, (they have two stores, one for traditional games and what not, and the other for books and manga and toys and stuff.) but sadly the store was already closed and i'll have to go buy some books some time later.
This would be a great time to have some models to build and paint. I've hurt my lower back, even just leaning alittle hurts and it aches every now and then. I'm pretty stiff right now thanks to that, so I have one of my beds pillows behind my back when I sit in any chair at home. I miss building Marines and Tau when I was hurt/sick.
Dunno if this already exists, but it would be awesome if it doesn't to be able to command customized units directly on Games Workshop's website. Like, you want a titan, you command it and ask for specific parts, like a slightly different looking armor, varying symbols, etc, to make it even more custom than with just custom color patterns.
I've made my space marine and chaos marine both blood ravens. Woo!
Chaos blood ravens ? Khorne will like it for sure
Chaos blood ravens ? Khorne will like it for sure
Plus, its sort of canon. If you've played retribution and chaos rising you'll know what I mean.
I haven't played a single warhammer game except Space Marine. I'm not really into RTS.
Not sort of, is. [sp]Avitus[/sp] did turn.
I haven't played a single warhammer game except Space Marine. I'm not really into RTS.
Damn, bro. You're missing ouuuuut
I tried Dawn of War once. Didn't like it so much, it was a good RTS for sure, but I'm definitely not into this sort of games. Should try Killteam though.
Plus, its sort of canon. If you've played retribution and chaos rising you'll know what I mean.
That's not all of them though.
