Anyone want to play DoW2 co-op with me on primarch difficulty? I'm currently on [sp]the part where you have to avenge that captain i cant remember the name of who got killed/wounded at the first part o the game with tyranids[/sp] Hit me up http://steamcommunity.com/id/Partyprime
I'm planning on drawing another model, the imperial guard is being redrawn completely, is there any other model you'd want drawn? [editline]16th September 2011[/editline] My plan is to draw every race whenever I find time and inspiration, and also make it easy to make distinguished colour patterns so only one of every race, so no terminators now for instance.
That would be fun. But what about ice hockey? One of his shots would be the same as getting hit by a bolter, he would ram players through the walls and kill them in the process.
Oh Lawdy. Full-contact rugby. The stadium would be filled with blood. How about Tau? There's a lot of ways to paint them.
needs more gold trims hollaaaa
Optimus Prime doesn't use gold trims.
Someone do a captain planetfall for shits and giggles
It isn't really possible :(
It isn't really possible :(
YOOL PAY FER DIS, KAPTIN RELICFALL!
Because it's a preorder bonus, which is just a reskin/model of the chainsword and there's no DLC out for it yet despite the game telling you you have to buy it.
It's not a preorder bonus, you can get it from buying and playing Kill Team.
Thats actually a costume.
Did you know that I am the Walrus syncs perfectly with this
Also what's everyones favorite Space Marine chapter if they have one? Iron Hands for me.
Grey Knights. Because psyker marines using storm bolters with nemesis force weaponry.
I would say Orks, but I don't think there's enough variety in them, really. How about Tau? There's a lot of ways to paint them.
Tau sounds like a good idea, I'm completely lost on the sizes of each and every race though and have only a vague perception on how big they all are, so if anyone has a size chart (or even a small bio on every race) I would be in your debt.
It's a shame the editor doesn't let you play as the most hardcore SM chapter ever - The Rainbow Warriors! I wonder who actually thought that chapter was a good idea.
Or succumb to Chaos and join the Emperor's children. Rape all the things.
After reading The First Heretic, I can't say anything more than: The Emperor is the #1 Douchebag, tied with Kor Phaeron and Erebus.
You can use Nail Polish remover to strip paint, if you're careful.

Acetone free!, nail polish remover with Acetone in it tends to melt anything but metal. Methylated Spirits or brown dettol disnfectant also work and do zero harm to the minature. (though if its finecast, methylated spirits can make it temporarily rubbery)
Thanks, both of you. I'll see if i can find any brown dettol disinfectant, though, could anybody recommend me some better paint for Castellan's helmet? Skull white looks way too rough/thick and doesn't really appeal to me.
My thoughts regarding space marine, playing it through on normal still took me 8ish hours i think so i'm quite happy with the length my only complaint's others have covered really, like the lack of animations for executions and the variation in enemies, considering its the only way to gain health and they've had fantastic kill syncs and unit varitation in the previous DoW games i was expecting a lot more.. one tiny complaint is that the the facial animation for space marines seemed to be non existant, their brows or stuff rarely move and everybody holds a constant :| face there are a fair number of flaws with the multiplayer, no dedicated servers, ridiculous weaponry various imbalances but i'm willing to forgive the latter as long as they try and patch it, they've said they're patching the push to talk issue... small gripe with the customiser as to rotate my characters i have to mash the button to get even a small rotation were this any other normal game some of these features would be annoyingly game breaking but since I'm a 40k fan and this is the only game of its type... I love it... looking forward to the hopefully free coop
There was one chapter that one of it's sole porpose was to test new weaponry and assist imperial troops, they seem like the nicest marines of all
Yeah, the Mentor Legion is indeed very bro-like.

Skull white looks way too rough/thick and doesn't really appeal to me.
Build up a thin layer (watered down) of Astronomican or Space Wolves Grey, then slowly build up layers of watered down skull white to achieve a gradient effect. If you don't want to paint it white, I'd go for red. Again, thinning your paints with water is your best bet. It's time consuming, but it avoids that horrible blotchy effect you can get from thick layers of paint. Maybe Mechrite or Gore, building highlighting with blood red. EDIT: Although I'd paint most of the rest of the model Chainmail, like Rayven said.
Iron Hands and Space Wolves are probably my two favorite chapters. Unfortunately my friend is a diehard Black Templar fan and he always calls me a heretic for liking both of them.

Just got my copy of space marine from GAME, for some reason my armor code was sent by email which is incredibly stupid.
Chaos Black Spray, then chainmail, pretty much required for grey knights.
I never bought any spray, but i might do that to my two grey knight squads when i've bought them. Though, what does the spray do? Gives the paint a bit more realistic look/a more darker when you paint a model which has been sprayed? I was thinking of painting some of his shoulder and his helm white, but i think i'll just paint most stuff chainmail, i didn't really think of doing that before, but i just wanted to paint some of his shoulder and his helm white because it'd fit the cover.

I'm also pretty sure I told you how to thin your paints before now, add water to your paint (ona palette) not add paint to you water.
So I was wondering about the Necrons if there's any where you can look at their different color schemes, like different Space Marine chapters.
My friend just found a copy of "W40k firewarrior" in his room, Is it worth playing?
